Best overall fit for a laptop plus smaller devices: choose a charger whose allocation table gives the laptop at least 60–65W while another port remains usable. The UGREEN Nexode Pro X757 (25874), Satechi ST-TC100GM, and UGREEN Nexode 100W 4-Port GaN II Desktop Charger (90928) all document useful multi-device modes, but they are specification-based candidates rather than independently tested winners.

A “100W” label is a maximum, not a promise that every port receives 100W simultaneously. The charger and each device negotiate power, then the charger reallocates its budget when you connect a second or third device. Check the exact per-port split, connector mix, plug region, cable rating, and whether your laptop accepts USB-C Power Delivery before buying.

What a 100W multiport charger actually delivers

100W normally describes the highest output available from one charging port under the manufacturer’s stated conditions. It does not mean a laptop, phone, and tablet can each draw 100W, or that a charger with four sockets has 100W available independently on every socket. The internal power budget is shared.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

When you plug in a device, USB-C Power Delivery (PD) negotiation identifies a voltage and current profile that both the charger and device support. A laptop may request a high-power profile; a phone may request much less. Connecting another device can trigger a new allocation, reducing the first port’s available power. The device can also draw below the negotiated maximum as its battery fills, or reduce input when temperature and battery-management limits require it.

  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

For a laptop-and-phone setup, the useful specification is therefore the two-port mode, not the single-port headline. A charger that supplies 100W on C1 alone but only 45W to that port when another device is attached may not keep a demanding laptop charged under load.

Shortlist: three documented candidates

Model Form and ports Published simultaneous allocations Box, plug, and weight notes
UGREEN Nexode Pro X757 (25874) Wall charger; two USB-C ports and one USB-A port C1 alone: up to 100W; C1+C2: 65W+30W; all three: 65W+7.5W+7.5W The cited India listing has a fixed EU two-pin plug, includes a 1.5m 100W cable, and lists 212g.
Satechi 100W USB-C PD Compact GaN Charger (ST-TC100GM) Wall charger; two USB-C PD ports and one USB-A port One USB-C: up to 100W; two USB-C: 60W/30W; USB-C+USB-A: up to 100W/12W; all ports: 60W/30W/12W The cited page lists 11.2 oz and US, AU, EU, and UK variants. Confirm the regional version and package contents. A Satechi 108W manual says charging cables are not included, but verify the exact ST-TC100GM listing.
UGREEN Nexode 100W 4-Port GaN II Desktop Charger (90928) Desktop unit with three USB-C ports and one USB-A port C1 or C2 alone: up to 100W; all four ports: approximately 45W+30W+10.5W+10.5W in the cited allocation The cited India listing describes a corded desktop design with an EU Schuko cord and India plug adapter. Package and plug arrangements vary by region; weight and cable-in-box details are not stated.

These figures come from manufacturer product information. They show how each model is designed to share power; they are not measurements of charging speed, temperature, efficiency, or long-term reliability.

Which model fits your setup?

Choose the X757 for a compact wall charger with a documented 65W laptop mode

The X757’s C1+C2 split of 65W and 30W is straightforward for a USB-C laptop and a phone or tablet. If you use all three ports, C1 remains at 65W while the two auxiliary ports receive 7.5W each. That last mode is suitable for low-demand accessories or slowly charging smaller devices, but it is not equivalent to two additional 30W phone ports.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Its fixed EU two-pin plug may require an adapter outside compatible outlets. The cited package includes a 1.5m 100W cable, which removes the need to buy a high-current cable for a 100W single-port connection. The laptop still must support USB-C PD, and the cable must be appropriate for the profile the device requests.

Choose the ST-TC100GM when regional wall-plug options matter

The Satechi unit documents four practical modes. With one USB-C device connected, that port can receive up to 100W. With both USB-C ports occupied, the split is 60W/30W. A USB-C device plus USB-A device can receive up to 100W/12W, and using every port produces a 60W/30W/12W split.

The 60W primary-port limit in two-USB-C mode is important for laptops that normally expect more than 60W, especially when running a processor-intensive workload. It can still maintain or slowly charge many machines, but the laptop may report “slow charger,” pause battery charging under load, or draw from its battery during peak consumption. The product page lists multiple regional plug versions, so it is easier to match the outlet standard than with a fixed-plug import.

Choose the 90928 when the charger will live on a desk

The 90928 provides three USB-C ports and one USB-A port in a desktop form factor. Its cited specification allows up to 100W from C1 or C2 alone. With all four outputs active, the listed allocation is approximately 45W, 30W, 10.5W, and 10.5W. That arrangement favors a laptop on the first port, a tablet or second computer on the next, and low-power devices on the remaining outputs.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A desktop charger uses a mains cord rather than hanging directly from the wall socket. That can be more convenient beside a monitor or under a desk, but it occupies desk space and is less convenient for travel. The cited India package combines an EU Schuko cord with an India adapter; do not assume another market receives the same cord or adapter.

Port-sharing numbers to check before purchase

Read the allocation table in the order you will plug in devices. The following examples use the published figures for the three candidates:

Use case X757 (25874) ST-TC100GM 90928
One high-power USB-C laptop C1 up to 100W One USB-C up to 100W C1 or C2 up to 100W
Laptop plus second USB-C device 65W + 30W 60W + 30W The cited source does not state a two-port split; consult the local allocation table.
USB-C plus USB-A device The cited source does not state a separate two-port USB-C+USB-A split; consult the listing. Up to 100W + 12W The cited source does not state a separate USB-C+USB-A split.
All ports occupied 65W + 7.5W + 7.5W 60W + 30W + 12W Approximately 45W + 30W + 10.5W + 10.5W

“Not stated” does not mean a mode is impossible; it means the cited product information does not establish that particular allocation. Do not infer an unlisted split by subtracting port labels from 100W. Internal limits, USB-A requirements, and thermal controls can change the result.

Compatibility checks for laptops, phones, and tablets

Confirm that the laptop accepts charging through USB-C

A USB-C-shaped connector does not prove that a laptop can charge through that port. Some laptops use USB-C only for data or display, while their charging input remains a barrel connector or a proprietary interface. The X757 listing specifically says laptops that charge only through a barrel pin are unsupported.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Look in the laptop manual or the manufacturer’s specifications for USB-C Power Delivery input and the required wattage. If the documentation names only a barrel input, a USB-C charger is not a substitute without an explicitly supported adapter.

  • Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft

Match the charger’s PD and PPS capabilities to the device

Phones and tablets may support different PD or Programmable Power Supply (PPS) profiles. A device will request only a profile it recognizes, so a 100W label does not force 100W into a phone. If your phone specifies PPS, check the charger’s regional product page for PPS support rather than assuming every USB-C PD charger includes it.

Use a cable rated for the requested power

A 100W connection requires a suitable high-current USB-C cable. The X757 listing calls for a 5A e-marked cable for 100W operation and lists a 1.5m 100W cable in the box. If another model does not include an appropriate lead, buy a cable explicitly marked for the required wattage and current. A cable that physically fits can still restrict charging to a lower profile.

Satechi’s manual for its 108W USB-C 3-Port GaN Wall Charger advises: “For the fastest and safest charge, please use the original device cable or a certified one.” Treat that as practical cable guidance, not proof that every cable in every ST-TC100GM package is included.

Wall charger or desktop charger?

Wall format

  • Plugs directly into an outlet and leaves no separate power brick on the desk.
  • Usually better for travel, provided the plug standard matches the destination or you have a safe, properly rated adapter.
  • Can place the charger’s weight on the wall socket, especially with multiple cables attached.
  • The X757 and ST-TC100GM are wall-style options in this shortlist.

Desktop format

  • Uses a mains cord, so the charging block can sit beside a laptop, dock, or monitor.
  • Four ports on the 90928 make it practical for a fixed workstation with several devices.
  • Needs desk or floor space and its cord and adapter configuration may differ by region.
  • Because the 90928’s all-port mode gives about 45W to its first output, check whether that is enough for your laptop before connecting three other devices.

Plug regions and package contents

Confirm the exact SKU and country page before ordering. The cited X757 page shows a fixed EU two-pin plug. The cited 90928 page is an India listing that describes an EU Schuko cord plus an India plug adapter. Satechi lists US, AU, EU, and UK variants for ST-TC100GM. A charger intended for one region may not include the cord, adapter, or electrical markings needed elsewhere.

Do not assume a cable is included because the charger is rated at 100W. The X757 listing includes a 1.5m 100W cable. Satechi’s cited 108W manual says Lightning and Type-C charging cables are not included; the contents of a particular ST-TC100GM retail package must be checked separately. The 90928 source does not establish cable-in-box details.

Safety, heat, and realistic expectations

Manufacturers commonly describe protections such as over-voltage, overload, over-current, over-temperature, short-circuit protection, and fire-resistant materials. A cited safety page lists those protections for its charger system. Such statements describe the manufacturer’s design claims; they are not evidence of a controlled, independent safety comparison between these candidates.

High-power charging naturally produces heat. Keep the charger’s ventilation area clear, avoid covering it with clothing or bedding, and use an undamaged cable and outlet. If the charger repeatedly disconnects, becomes uncomfortably hot, or smells of overheated plastic, unplug it and investigate the outlet, cable, and load rather than continuing to increase the number of connected devices.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Charging speed also changes over time. A laptop may draw close to its maximum while working and less after the battery reaches a higher state of charge. A phone can reduce input as it warms or approaches full charge. These behaviors are normal and mean that a lower instantaneous wattage reading does not by itself indicate a faulty charger.

How to choose the right 100W charger

  1. Write down your actual devices. Record which laptop, phone, tablet, earbuds, watch, or accessory you intend to charge together.
  2. Verify charging inputs. Confirm USB-C PD support on the laptop and note the required wattage. Check whether the phone or tablet benefits from PPS.
  3. Identify the busiest simultaneous mode. If the laptop and phone will be connected every day, compare the charger’s two-port allocation for that combination.
  4. Reserve the highest-power port for the laptop. On the listed models, that is generally C1; the 90928 also lists C2 as a 100W-capable single-port output.
  5. Check connector mix. Choose two USB-C and one USB-A if you still use legacy cables, or three USB-C plus one USB-A for a desk with several modern devices.
  6. Choose wall or desktop placement. Select a wall unit for portability and a corded desktop unit for a permanent workstation.
  7. Match the plug and package to your country. Verify the local SKU, cord, adapter, and safety markings.
  8. Confirm cable availability. Reuse a certified cable that meets the required current, or budget for a 5A e-marked 100W cable when one is not supplied.
  9. Check the seller’s live listing. Make sure the model number, port layout, revision, stock, warranty terms, and included accessories match the specification you evaluated.

Setup procedure for a laptop-and-device charging station

  1. Place the charger on a hard, ventilated surface; for a desktop unit, keep the mains cord and adapter fully seated.
  2. Connect the charger to the outlet before attaching devices. Inspect both ends of every cable for damage.
  3. Connect the laptop to the charger’s highest-power USB-C port using the manufacturer’s cable or a certified cable rated for the required wattage.
  4. Wait for the laptop to show that external power is present. If it reports a slow or incompatible charger, stop and verify USB-C PD support, cable rating, and the port allocation.
  5. Attach the phone or tablet to the next USB-C port. Recheck the laptop’s charging status because the charger may have changed its allocation.
  6. Add USB-A or additional USB-C devices one at a time. Compare the resulting behavior with the published all-port mode rather than expecting every port to retain its single-device rating.
  7. After several minutes under normal load, feel the charger and check for repeated disconnects. Warmth is expected; unusual heat, odor, or noise warrants unplugging and troubleshooting.

Troubleshooting common problems

The laptop says “slow charger” after a phone is connected

  • Check the two-port allocation: the ST-TC100GM provides 60W to one USB-C port and 30W to the other; the X757 provides 65W and 30W.
  • Move the laptop to the designated high-power port.
  • Use a 5A e-marked cable rated for 100W or the laptop maker’s original cable.
  • Reduce the laptop’s workload temporarily. A machine that needs more power than the shared mode supplies may discharge despite showing that it is plugged in.

The phone charges slowly but the laptop is fine

  • Confirm that the phone is connected to a USB-C PD-capable port rather than a low-power USB-A output.
  • Check whether the phone requires PPS and whether the charger lists it.
  • Try a certified cable known to support the phone’s preferred profile.
  • Remember that the phone may deliberately reduce input because of heat or a high state of charge.

Charging stops when the third or fourth device is attached

  • Compare the all-port allocation with the devices’ minimum charging needs. The X757 gives only 7.5W to each auxiliary port in its three-port mode; the 90928 gives about 10.5W to each of its two lowest-allocation ports when all four are used.
  • Disconnect the least important accessory or move it to a separate low-power charger.
  • Reconnect devices one at a time to identify whether a cable, port, or load triggers the reset.

The plug does not fit or the package is missing an expected cable

  • Verify the country-specific SKU; the X757 cited here has a fixed EU plug, while ST-TC100GM is offered in several regional versions.
  • Check the box list for the exact model rather than relying on a review of a related charger.
  • Use only a properly rated travel adapter or replacement cord compatible with the charger’s electrical requirements.

Prices, availability, and what is not established

A September 2026 retail article mentioned a Best Buy offer for a UGREEN Nexode four-port charger and an Amazon offer. Those are dated US retail snapshots, not current prices. Verify the live price, model or SKU, stock, region, warranty, and package contents at the time you buy; the same product family can be sold with different plugs or accessories.

No controlled comparison establishes that one of these chargers is faster, cooler, safer, or more durable than the others. The available evidence consists of manufacturer specifications and a retail buying article, not repeatable measurements. A proper test would need equivalent laptops, phones, and tablets; laptop charging under load; simultaneous multi-device loads; power reallocation after each connection; temperature; cable and outlet conditions; dimensions and weight; and travel usability.

Bottom line

Start with the allocation table, not the 100W headline. The X757 is a compact wall option with a documented 65W+30W laptop-and-secondary-device mode and a supplied 100W cable. The ST-TC100GM offers a 60W+30W USB-C split and several regional plug versions. The 90928 is the desk-oriented choice when three USB-C ports and one USB-A port are more valuable than portability. Whichever you choose, confirm USB-C PD compatibility, use a correctly rated cable, and verify the plug and package for your region.
