As a practical selection guide, consider the amount of food you usually cook and the pan’s stated 2.5L capacity on the CHOICE listing. The listed 1.9kg weight may also matter if you regularly lift a full pan; the lid’s weight is not separately stated in the cited listing.
Is it suitable for induction and other cooktops?
Bessemer says the saucepan suits all cooktops and specifies a magnetic stainless-steel induction plate. What is the oven-safe temperature?
The published limits conflict: Bessemer’s product page says oven-safe to 180°C, while CHOICE’s listing gives 220°C. The available listings do not explain whether the difference comes from changed documentation, different model versions or an error. Do not assume the higher figure applies to your saucepan. The manufacturer’s dimensions exclude the lid, and the product information says a separate 20cm non-stick universal lid can be paired with the saucepan for its oven-effect cooking feature.
