The Bellini BRA603SX-F is a discontinued 60 cm stainless-steel slimline rangehood. Bellini’s documentation describes its installation and lists its specifications, but the independent CHOICE listing hides its performance, usability and noise scores behind member-only access. Those scores therefore cannot support a verdict that the model is either good or poor.
What the Bellini BRA603SX-F is
Bellini identifies the BRA603SX-F as the stainless-steel version of its 60 cm slimline rangehood. Its official manual also associates the appliance with Fineline model 5120216 in Australia and New Zealand. Bellini marks it as a past model, and CHOICE lists it as discontinued.
The manufacturer’s manual specifies two 100 W motors, three fan speeds, two 40 W incandescent lights, metal grease filters, a 120 mm outlet and a 220–240 V, 50 Hz power supply. The 60 cm version has two grease mesh filters and a 1.5 m power cord.

What the published performance figures do—and don’t—tell you
Bellini’s catalogue reports airflow of 400 m³/h and noise of 53 dB at fan setting 1. These are manufacturer-published catalogue specifications, not independent test results; the catalogue PDF carries a 2019 publication date in search metadata. They do not establish how the hood performs in a particular kitchen or at other fan speeds.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
CHOICE lists dimensions of 15 × 59.5 × 50 cm. Bellini’s catalogue gives body dimensions of 598 × 500 × 150 mm. These figures describe the appliance, not the space required for ducting or installation.
CHOICE’s listing includes the model, but its Expert Rating and performance, ease-of-use and noise scores are member-only. Without those results, a comparative performance verdict cannot be substantiated. The available evidence supports checking fit, installation requirements and condition rather than treating the catalogue figures as a complete review.

Should you use ducted or recirculating mode?
| Mode | What it requires | Practical trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Ducted | A ducting route that discharges outdoors; the manual allows top or rear ducting. Flexible exhaust pipe is not included. | It needs a suitable outdoor exhaust route and ducting materials, but does not rely on charcoal filters for recirculation. |
| Recirculating | An outlet cover and charcoal filters. Bellini identifies CF110 / Fineline 5102399; CHOICE lists two filters and replacement every three months. | It avoids an exhaust pipe to the outside, but requires the correct filters and ongoing replacement. |
For ducted installation, Bellini advises keeping the exhaust duct short and straight, without reducing or restricting its size. The manual warns: “Failure to observe these basic instructions will reduce the performance and increase noise levels of the range hood.” Exhaust must discharge outdoors, not into a roof cavity.

CHOICE’s listing specifies replacement every three months; its page does not state a publication date.

How high should it be above the cooktop?
Bellini’s installation manual, version 8 from September 2018, specifies a minimum clearance of 600 mm above an electric cooktop and 650 mm above a gas cooktop, with a maximum of 750 mm. If the cooktop manufacturer requires a greater minimum clearance, follow that requirement. Check local building, gas and electrical requirements as well.
What to check before installing or buying a used unit
- Mounting and route: The manual allows wall or cabinet mounting. Confirm the hood’s position, outlet direction and a practical path to an outdoor discharge if you plan to duct it.
- Clearances: Check the cooktop’s instructions alongside Bellini’s stated minimum and maximum distances.
- Parts and condition: Inspect the motors, lights, fan controls, grease filters, outlet and any included ducting or outlet cover. For recirculation, verify that the two required CF110 filters can be sourced.
- Warranty and support: Bellini’s older manual describes a three-year in-home warranty, and its past-model page says “3 Year Warranty Support.” A historical catalogue lists one year for the BRA603SX-F entry. These statements differ by source and context and do not establish coverage for a used appliance or any particular purchase. Confirm the warranty attached to the individual unit and ask Bellini about current support.
- Fit with alternatives: Before choosing this discontinued hood over a current 60 cm model, compare the installation dimensions and outlet arrangement, independent extraction and noise results, warranty for the specific purchase, condition and long-term consumable costs. The available listings do not establish current stock or a verified replacement recommendation.
Is the Bellini BRA603SX-F any good?
The available information is enough to identify its basic configuration and installation requirements, but not to judge its real-world extraction, noise or ease of use against other rangehoods. The 400 m³/h and 53 dB figures are Bellini catalogue specifications; CHOICE’s independent scores are not publicly visible. For an existing unit, condition, correct installation and filter availability are the most actionable checks. For a purchase, base the decision on the exact unit’s condition, fit, support and independently available test results rather than assuming the model’s listing provides a performance verdict.
