- Measure the intended space at the floor, at worktop height and near the ceiling. Walls and cabinets are not always square.
- Reserve at least the listed 189 × 101 × 80 cm installation envelope, then check the manual and rating plate for any region-specific requirement.
- Measure the narrowest doorway, hallway, lift, stair turn and balcony or entrance route. Record both width and height with doors, trims and handrails included.
- Check door swing. A 91 cm-wide cabinet can still be impossible to position if a door cannot open far enough to clear a wall or island.
- Confirm that the floor can support the loaded appliance and that it is level enough for the doors and seals to align.
- Ask the carrier whether the unit will be transported upright and whether door removal is permitted under its delivery policy.
Do not assume that a 70 cm listed depth equals the clearance you need. Handles, hinges, plumbing and the rear ventilation space can extend beyond the cabinet. The related X variant is listed at 70.5 cm deep, illustrating why the exact suffix matters.

GN162320W versus GN162320X: keep the variants separate
Beko’s official product page available for this family is for the GN162320X, not the GN162320W. It is useful as family context only. The X page describes a no-frost side-by-side model with a plumbed water dispenser and automatic ice production, and lists 620 L gross capacity, 544 L net capacity, dimensions of 179 × 91 × 70.5 cm and 471 kWh per year at 25 °C. None of those figures should be presented as confirmed W specifications.

- Confirm that doors close fully and that the cabinet remains level.
- Keep the rear and side ventilation areas clear of dust and stored items.
- Check shelves and drawers for cracks before loading heavy containers.
