What the Bear Elite Ultra Hybrid is
Bear describes the Elite Ultra as its most feature-rich hybrid option. Its listed construction combines foam, microcoils and a zoned coil support core. The queen is listed as 60 by 80 by 13.5 inches and 115 pounds; the product line also includes Twin, Twin XL, Full, King, California King and Split King. Bear offers three firmness choices and rates them on its own 10-point scale. Its position guidance is a starting point rather than a guarantee: body weight, sleep position and personal comfort all affect how a mattress feels.

Bear markets the Elite Ultra to hot sleepers and people looking for responsiveness or pressure relief. The company also says it may not be the right match for people who want deep, slow all-foam contouring or heavier sleepers who sleep strictly on their stomach. These are Bear’s fit recommendations; the available product information does not establish universal comfort outcomes.
Does it sleep cool?
The Elite Ultra includes Bear’s CoolForce phase-change layer. Bear says the material draws heat away and reports that testing showed it can help a sleeper sleep “up to 4 degrees cooler for 12 hours.” The product-page information does not explain the test method in enough detail to independently assess that figure, so treat it as Bear’s stated result—not a promised temperature change. Bear’s help center says cooling can vary with room temperature, bedding, protector use and personal body temperature. It also points to the mattress’s phase-change material, Celliant cover and airflow through its hybrid construction as cooling features. Bear’s cooling FAQ, dated May 6, 2026
Bear also describes Celliant as converting body heat to infrared energy and associates it with recovery benefits. The product page notes that results from a referenced pilot study were not achieved by all subjects and that further studies are warranted before drawing conclusions about Celliant and sleep benefits. That language does not establish a medical or recovery benefit for an individual sleeper.

Bear’s 2026 lineup comparison distinguishes the Elite Ultra from the Elite Hybrid mainly by the included cooling layer and microcoils. Warranty coverage depends on purchase date
For eligible mattresses bought from Bear or an authorized retailer on or after February 1, 2025, Bear’s limited lifetime warranty applies to the original purchaser while that person owns the mattress. Bear describes years 1–10 as non-prorated and replacement charges from year 11 onward as prorated. The policy applies to purchasers in the United States, excluding territories, and Canada; it is nontransferable. Earlier purchases are subject to earlier terms. Bear recommends a firm, flat, sturdy base. Its stated compatible options are a platform or frame with slats less than 5.5 inches apart, or an adjustable base. Bear’s product page identifies the mattress as fiberglass-free, GREENGUARD Gold certified and made with CertiPUR-US foam, and says it is made in America using foreign and domestic components. These are claims published by Bear; readers who need to verify certification status should consult the certifying organizations’ current directories.
Is the Bear Elite Ultra Hybrid worth considering?
It is most relevant to shoppers who want a hybrid with selectable firmness, microcoils, zoned coils and a cooling layer included rather than offered only as an upgrade. The key trade-offs are that firmness guidance and cooling performance come from Bear, while the product page’s trial duration is inconsistent. Compare the feel you want with Bear’s suggested firmness, check your foundation, and verify the applicable return and warranty terms before ordering.
