Collect treasures in a progression-first order: take the economy and worker-efficiency rewards that help you deploy cats and reach upgrade thresholds, then take health and attack rewards, and finally replace lower-tier drops with Superior versions until the chapter is complete. Treasures are permanent upgrades from main-story stages, so skipping them can leave your account weaker even when your cats and user rank continue to rise.
The practical target is not a stage screen that merely displays “100%.” That percentage represents the chapter set’s maximum power, and maximum power requires every treasure in the set at Superior tier. A partial set can help, but it is not the finished bonus.
What treasures are and why they matter
In The Battle Cats, treasures are permanent rewards earned by clearing main-story stages. Once a treasure is activated, its effect remains available in later stages rather than applying only to the level where it dropped. Phương Hà Nguyễn of AntGames described them as “crucial stage rewards that enhance your units’ abilities” in a guide published September 30, 2025.
Each stage’s treasure can appear in three quality tiers. The tier changes how much power the treasure contributes to its chapter set.

A chapter’s displayed 100% is therefore a measure of set completion or set power, not a literal 100 percent increase to every affected stat. Do not read the number as “your attack or health doubled.” It indicates that the set has reached its maximum contribution under the game’s treasure system.
How treasure drops work
Random rewards after a clear
Treasure is a random reward after completing an eligible main-story stage. A clear can finish the level without giving a treasure, so repeated runs are normal. A guide published by AntGames reports a general treasure chance of 35 percent. That figure is a guide-reported rate; no official PONOS rate table was published to confirm it.

These percentages describe the reported split when a treasure drops, not a guarantee that every group of four runs will produce a fixed number of items. Randomness can produce long dry spells or several good drops in a row.
Improving a stage’s tier
You can replay a stage to improve the quality of its treasure. The cited guide says the game will not award a treasure of the same or lower tier after that stage has already yielded one, so a later successful drop must be higher. For example, after an Inferior drop, a successful replay can improve it to Normal or Superior; after a Normal drop, the next successful drop must be Superior. You still have to trigger a drop, so this rule does not remove the need for stamina and repeated clears.

Treasure Festivals
During a Treasure Festival, the featured chapter’s reported chance rises to 70 percent, roughly twice the general 35 percent figure. The bonus applies to the chapter highlighted by the festival, not automatically to every stage in the game. If you are choosing when to farm, concentrate your runs in the featured chapter while the event is active.
Zombie Outbreak medals can also increase treasure drop rates for their associated stages. Their benefit is tied to the relevant stages, so check which medals and chapter they affect before assuming that every chapter receives the increase.

A Treasure Radar is described as guaranteeing a Superior treasure. Because that guarantee bypasses the normal tier roll, use radars deliberately rather than on a routine first attempt. The guide recommends conserving them for especially valuable item-drop or experience stages. A radar is most efficient when a specific stage is blocking progression, when a festival window is ending, or when an otherwise expensive set of retries has little time to pay off.
Which treasures should you collect first?
There is no single universal ranking that fits every account. Your best order depends on whether you are short on deployment money, worker upgrades, survivability, damage, or a chapter completion requirement. Use three tests for every candidate:
- Immediate battle impact: Will the reward help you survive or finish the next few stages?
- Economy and progression impact: Will it help you deploy cats sooner, support a larger lineup, or reach an upgrade threshold?
- Gate value: Is the treasure part of a set you need to complete before the next chapter becomes comfortable or accessible?
First: economy and worker-efficiency treasures
Start with treasures that improve the flow of a battle: the resources available for deploying cats, the efficiency of your worker, or the thresholds that let you upgrade and field a stronger lineup. These upgrades often produce value in every subsequent stage, so they can outperform a purely offensive reward when you are still building an account.

The Empire of Cats examples specifically named in the AntGames guide are Energy Drink, Giant Safe, Relativity Clock, and Philosopher’s Stone. Treat them as early economy or progression targets rather than as a rigid order among themselves. If one of these stages is much easier for your current roster, farm it first; if another is the chapter gate in front of you, move that one up.
Second: core combat treasures
After your economy is functioning reliably, collect treasures that improve the practical performance of your army. Health-oriented rewards make it easier for a wall of cats to hold a line, while attack-oriented rewards shorten fights and reduce the time enemies have to overwhelm you. The guide names Legendary Cat Sword as an Empire of Cats priority alongside the economy examples.
Do not delay a combat treasure simply because an economy item appears earlier on a list. If a stage is failing because your frontline collapses or a boss survives long enough to enter your base, the combat reward can have the highest immediate value. Conversely, if you cannot afford a useful lineup before the enemy arrives, economy comes first.
Third: finish the chapter set
Once the high-impact targets are secured, clear the remaining stages and improve their drops. A chapter-wide set is more valuable when every piece is active, and some progression paths become uncomfortable if you leave several stages unfinished. Do not stop at a partial collection merely because the map is technically open; complete the set when the chapter is serving as a gate to the next section.
Why Superior treasures are worth finishing
Inferior and Normal treasures are not wasted. They activate a weaker version of the effect and can be enough to clear a difficult stage. The problem is treating that first success as a permanent stopping point. Because the chapter’s maximum set power requires all Superior treasures, leaving lower tiers in place permanently gives up part of the bonus.

The tier-improvement rule makes a sensible farming pattern possible: accept an Inferior or Normal result to gain immediate help, then revisit that stage during a better farming window. A Superior result replaces the lower tier rather than creating a separate bonus, so you are upgrading the same stage’s contribution.
Why skipping treasures can make you feel stuck
Treasure effects persist across gameplay once activated. If you skip several stages, every later battle is fought without those permanent improvements. That disadvantage compounds: weaker economy delays deployments, delayed deployments make fights longer, and longer fights give enemies more opportunities to destroy your base. A lineup that appears correctly leveled can still struggle because the account is missing chapter-wide treasure power.
Skipping also creates a misleading comparison with players who cleared the same story chapter while farming Superior drops. Their cats may look similar on paper, but their permanent set effects can make the difference in money flow, durability, or damage. When progress stalls across several unrelated stages, check treasure completion before assuming that you need a new unit.
A practical treasure-farming routine
- Identify the active chapter and the immediate gate. On the main-story map, note which chapter contains the stage you need for progression and which treasure effects would address your current failure: economy, survivability, or attack.
- Clear priority stages once. Take the first available treasure, even if it is Inferior. The effect can help with the next attempts, and the stage is now eligible for a higher-tier replacement.
- Use a Treasure Festival window. When the festival features that chapter, move your farming there. The guide-reported chance is 70 percent during the event versus 35 percent generally, although PONOS has not published an official rate table confirming them.
- Replay lower-tier stages. Re-run stages showing Inferior or Normal treasure and continue until a higher tier drops. Because the reported rule excludes the same or a lower tier after a successful drop, each successful replacement moves upward.
- Apply relevant Zombie Outbreak medals. If a medal boosts the chapter or stage you are farming, equip or activate it before spending stamina there.
- Reserve Treasure Radars for high-value bottlenecks. Use a radar when a guaranteed Superior result saves a large amount of repeated farming, especially on an item-drop or experience stage the guide identifies as valuable.
- Verify the set before moving on. Check that every treasure in the chapter is present and upgraded as far as practical. If the chapter is a progression gate, continue until the set is complete rather than relying on a few strong pieces.
Choosing between two possible stages
When stamina is limited and two stages are available, use this tie-breaker:

If the two rewards appear equal, prefer the stage that is faster and safer for your current lineup. More completed runs produce more chances at a Superior replacement, while a stage that consumes continues or takes several attempts can erase the benefit of a theoretically better target.

Common mistakes and fixes
Stopping after the first treasure
Symptom: The stage shows a treasure, so you move on even though it is Inferior. Fix: Keep progressing if necessary, but mark the stage for a later Superior run, preferably during a festival.
Reading 100% as a literal stat increase
Symptom: You expect a displayed 100% set value to double a unit stat. Fix: Read it as maximum set power. The actual effect is defined by the treasure set, and full power requires every Superior piece.
Farming the wrong chapter during a festival
Symptom: Drop rates do not improve where you are spending stamina. Fix: Confirm that the festival’s featured chapter matches the stages you are replaying; the event bonus is chapter-specific.

Spending a radar on a low-impact first clear
Symptom: A guaranteed Superior is used on a stage that was already easy. Fix: Save radars for bottlenecks or valuable item-drop and experience stages where avoiding many retries has measurable progression value.
Assuming levels alone will solve a stall
Symptom: Your cats are upgraded, but several story stages remain unexpectedly difficult. Fix: Audit the chapter treasure sets. Missing permanent effects can be the underlying issue, especially when economy and combat problems appear together.
