Banana Gun lets you observe a public wallet and, separately, configure your own funded wallet to copy its trades. Copying is not a guarantee of matching the target’s price or earning a profit: your result can differ because of timing, slippage, liquidity, and trade size. Start by tracking the address, inspect its behavior, and set strict spending limits before enabling automated buys.
Tracking a wallet is not the same as copying it
On-chain wallet tracking means watching activity associated with a public address. Banana Gun’s explainer describes adding and labeling an address in its tracker so you can view its activity and open a trade setup from a trade. That observation does not itself place a trade.
Copy trading is a separate step: you configure Banana Gun to respond to trades from a selected target wallet using your own funded wallet and chosen limits. The target’s transactions and yours are distinct. Your order may be submitted later, at a different price, or not execute as expected. How to set up a copy trade
Banana Gun’s Pro manual documents this setup flow. Labels and available options can vary by chain and may change, so confirm the live interface before funding or enabling a copy.

- Choose the chain and funding wallet. Confirm that the selected network supports the copy-trading feature you intend to use, and select the wallet that will pay for copied transactions.
- Enter and label the target address. Add the public wallet address you want to follow and give it a recognizable name. Check the address carefully; copying the wrong wallet can trigger real trades.
- Set exposure limits. Enter a maximum buy amount and a total spend limit. These are different controls: the maximum buy caps an individual copied purchase, while the total spend limit caps cumulative spending under the configuration.
- Choose a sizing mode. The manual lists Buy Only Once, Buy Exact, Buy %, and Buy Fixed in its advanced controls. Buy % bases your purchase on a fraction of the target’s trade size; Buy Fixed uses the same configured amount per copied trade. Buy Exact follows the target’s amount, while Buy Only Once limits repeat buying. Confirm the precise behavior shown for the selected chain and mode.
- Review execution and exit settings. Adjust slippage and duration, and review the MEV tip if that option is enabled. The manual also documents take-profit and stop-loss conditions. These controls affect execution or order behavior; they do not ensure a favorable price or prevent losses.
- Confirm only after checking the summary. Verify the target address, chain, funding wallet, per-buy maximum, aggregate spend limit, and any exit conditions before activating the setup.
The manual also documents Simple, Advanced, and Advanced Presets modes. Its options are not necessarily present on every network. A separate Banana Gun guide for Robinhood Chain describes market-cap filters and repeat-buy limits; treat those as chain-specific documented options, not universal controls.
Review a target wallet before copying
A visible history or attractive past PnL does not establish that a wallet is trustworthy or that its trades will remain profitable. Banana Gun’s manual warns: “Some target wallets may become malicious and try to drain your funds by aping into pump and dumps or honeypots. Use a wallet scanner to review recent trades by the target wallet and check whether they’re using copy traders as exit liquidity.”

Before committing funds, inspect recent trades and look for patterns rather than relying on headline returns. Banana Gun’s guide for its newly supported Robinhood Chain suggests examining trade count, consistency of position sizing, behavior during drawdowns where available, and activity on other chains. Those are the vendor’s evaluation suggestions, not a validated scoring model. A wallet with limited history on a new network is especially difficult to assess.

- Look for abrupt changes in position size or behavior, and investigate what happened during losing periods where that history is visible.
- Check whether a copied purchase would be large relative to the available liquidity and your own risk limit.
- Do not treat speed, a scanner, or a stop-loss setting as proof that a trade is safe.
Why your copied entry can differ from the target’s
A copy instruction follows activity; it does not give you the target’s original execution. By the time your transaction is submitted, the token price may have moved. Slippage settings, liquidity, network conditions, and the size of your order relative to the target’s can all affect execution. In a low-liquidity token, even a modest purchase may receive a substantially different price or fail to complete within the chosen limits.

That gap matters on exits as well as entries. A target can sell before your copy executes, or the market can move while you are trying to sell. Historical results therefore cannot be assumed to transfer to a follower, particularly if the follower’s trade size or timing differs.
Check chain support and fees in the live interface
Banana Gun’s homepage currently names ETH, SOL, BSC, BASE, ROBINHOOD, STABLE, HYPEREVM, and MEGAETH as supported networks. Its cross-chain bot announcement describes copy trading on Ethereum, Solana, Base, BNB Chain, and MegaETH. These lists describe different product pages and are not evidence that every feature is available on every named network. Check the chain selector and copy-trading options in the interface you plan to use.

The homepage states general rates of 0.5% for manual trades and 1% for snipes on successful transactions. Those figures do not establish the fee for every copy-trade action. Review the current transaction summary and fee information for your specific chain and trade before confirming.
Banana Gun’s own usage figures also should not be confused with evidence of profitability. Its August 17, 2026 launch announcement reported more than $16 billion in cumulative trading volume and more than 1.2 million registered users. The homepage accessed October 7, 2026 instead claimed 26M+ lifetime trades, $16B+ lifetime volume, and 1.5M+ lifetime BANANA users. These are company-reported figures with different wording and dates; neither demonstrates that copy traders make money.

When not to copy a wallet
Do not activate copying if you cannot identify the target address, understand the sizing mode, or afford the configured maximum exposure. Pause if the wallet’s recent activity looks manipulative, its trades rely on liquidity too thin for your intended size, or you cannot verify that the selected chain and fee treatment are correct. If you cannot tolerate an entry that is later or worse than the target’s, tracking without copying is the lower-commitment choice.
