The ₹6.27 crore amount is not confirmed by the company’s filing for this Jaipur appellate order. The primary disclosure located reports ₹3.45 crore as the alleged gross demand, inclusive of the ₹31.53 lakh penalty. No primary record located for this order substantiates ₹6.27 crore, so that figure should not be treated as established.

A separate disclosure dated April 1, 2026 concerns a Madhya Pradesh GST assessment under Section 74 of the MPGST Act. It is a different proceeding, not confirmation of the Jaipur order’s amount. Read the separate Madhya Pradesh disclosure.
What is the tax dispute about?
Bajaj Electricals described the Jaipur case as an alleged short payment of tax identified by comparing the company’s GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns for FY 2018–19. GSTR-1 reports outward supplies, while GSTR-3B is a summary return used to report tax liability and make payment. A discrepancy between the returns can lead to a tax demand, but the filing’s account does not establish that the company ultimately owes the amount.

How does the appellate order relate to the original assessment?
The company said the original assessment order was issued on April 30, 2024, by the Additional Commissioner, Jaipur under Section 73 of the GST law. The March 27, 2026 order is a later appellate decision under Section 107. Bajaj Electricals also said its submissions were not considered by the appellate authority; that is the company’s characterization in its disclosure.

The April 7 disclosure says management was evaluating legal options, including an appeal before the appropriate appellate tribunal and/or a writ petition before the High Court. It does not confirm that either filing was made. Nor does it establish whether a stay was granted, the demand was paid, or the order was later set aside.

What did the company say about the impact?
Bajaj Electricals said any financial impact, if the order materialises, would be limited to the demand and penalty. It also stated: “There is no impact on the operational, financial, or other activities of the Company on account of this order/assessment.” That was the company’s position at the time of its disclosure, not an independent assessment of the order’s eventual effect.
