Azuga combines GPS tracking, driver-safety tools, fleet software and optional cameras. It is worth considering if your priority is vehicle visibility and safety engagement without a complicated deployment; it is a weaker fit if you need deep logistics or compliance capabilities, flexible contracts or a clear all-in price before a fleet-specific quote. Azuga lists plans from $25 per vehicle per month, but feature tiers, camera costs and contract terms can materially change the total.

What is Azuga GPS Fleet Management?

Azuga is a commercial telematics service that connects vehicle hardware to Azuga Fleet, a browser-based management platform, and the Azuga FleetMobile app. Its tracker plugs into a vehicle’s OBD-II port and can provide GPS location, diagnostic data and driving-behavior information. Managers can use the software to review vehicle activity, trip logs, alerts, reports, driver scores and maintenance information.

Other capabilities described by Azuga include geofencing, trip tagging, asset tracking, driver rewards and safety alerts. Availability depends on the plan, hardware and options selected, so a feature appearing in product materials does not mean it is included in every quote. Azuga says installation can take about 20 seconds; TechRadar describes it as taking under a minute. Those are vendor and reviewer descriptions, not a guarantee for every vehicle or installation.

A separate Azuga quote page advertises a GPS rate of $19.99 per month excluding AI dashcams. Treat that as a headline offer, not a guaranteed total: the quote process asks about fleet size, vehicle type and selected features. Verify eligibility, hardware, taxes or fees, add-ons and contract terms before comparing it with the listed plan prices.

Azuga describes 36 months as its most popular contract term, and TechRadar’s June 3, 2026 review reports a 36-month standard commitment. Check your specific agreement for the actual term, renewal and cancellation conditions; negotiated agreements and promotions may differ.

What do the Azuga plans include?

BasicFleet

BasicFleet is the entry-level GPS tracking tier in Azuga’s pricing. The cited pricing information does not provide a complete feature-by-feature inventory for this plan. Ask which location update interval, reports, alerts, integrations and hardware are included rather than assuming that every capability on the product site comes with the base tier.

SafetyCam and camera options

Azuga’s SafetyCam materials describe Pro and Plus AI dashcams that work with its GPS tracker, Azuga Fleet and FleetMobile. Listed functions include event-based uploads, trip video stored on an SD card and AI safety features. Azuga says the camera does not record with the ignition off and lists triggers such as hard braking and sudden acceleration. Verify the model-specific functions, storage and upload behavior, and the camera’s price and billing basis in your quote.

What is Azuga like to use, and who is it for?

TechRadar’s June 3, 2026 review gives Azuga a favorable assessment for straightforward deployment and its focus on driver safety, particularly for small and midsize fleets without dedicated IT staff. The review also identifies tier-gated features, long contracts and less depth for complex logistics or compliance needs as tradeoffs. These are TechRadar’s evaluation, not results from a controlled comparison of every fleet’s use case.

Azuga is a plausible candidate if you want GPS visibility and safety engagement through a system built around vehicle hardware, a web dashboard and a mobile app. It may be less suitable if your operation depends on unusually deep compliance workflows, complex logistics or broad contract flexibility. The right fit depends on your vehicles, dispatch requirements, selected features and contract—not fleet size alone.

What to verify before requesting or accepting a quote

  • Vehicle and asset coverage: List the vehicle types and any non-vehicle assets you need to track. Confirm hardware compatibility and whether each asset requires a separate device or subscription.
  • Location cadence: Get the update interval for the exact plan and hardware. Decide whether it is frequent enough for your dispatch workflow.
  • Safety requirements: Confirm which driver scores, coaching, distraction monitoring, panic alerts and video functions are included, and which require a higher tier or add-on.
  • Integrations and compliance: Ask about the specific fuel-card, API, ELD or compliance connections your business needs. Do not infer that an integration exists because the platform offers integrations generally.
  • Full recurring and upfront cost: Request an itemized quote covering subscriptions, cameras, hardware, installation if applicable, fees, taxes and optional features. Confirm whether camera pricing is per vehicle and how it is billed.
  • Contract terms: Ask for the minimum term, renewal process, cancellation conditions and any consequences of ending service early.
  • Support and implementation: Identify which support and onboarding services are included in your selected plan, including whether the dedicated Customer Success Manager is limited to CompleteFleet.

Are Azuga’s safety and savings claims independently proven?

Azuga markets safety and risk-reduction outcomes, but those claims should not be treated as a promised result for an individual fleet. The available cited materials do not establish a named, dated independent statistic for typical customer savings or safety improvements. Results depend on the fleet, how the system is configured and whether managers and drivers act on the information.

Azuga also reports 400,000 devices in market, 3 billion annual miles of data collected and 300 million trips tracked annually. The cited company page does not state a year for these figures; they are Azuga-reported scale claims, not independently audited counts.

How does Azuga compare with what your fleet needs?

Before comparing vendors, write down the operational requirements that would make a system useful day to day. A low starting subscription rate is not decisive if the needed update frequency, camera, integration or compliance function requires an upgrade.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Choose a tracking-first shortlist if the primary need is location visibility, trip history and basic fleet oversight.
  • Prioritize safety-tier details if you need driver coaching, distraction monitoring, panic alerts or video evidence. Confirm the exact plan and hardware combination.
  • Look closely at dispatch and compliance depth if you manage complex routing, regulated operations or existing fleet systems that must exchange data. Validate each required workflow and integration directly.
  • Compare total commitment, not a headline rate by using written quotes that specify devices, options, term, renewal and cancellation terms.

Verdict

Azuga’s clearest appeal is an approachable combination of GPS tracking and driver-safety features, with optional cameras and a mobile app. Its listed plan prices make an initial comparison possible, but the real decision hinges on tier-specific functionality, camera billing, update frequency, integrations and a contract that may run for 36 months. Get a written, itemized quote and test it against your fleet’s actual workflows before committing.
