Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game should be checked against Steam’s listed minimum hardware, but those figures only establish a compatibility baseline. Steam specifies a 64-bit Windows system, an Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 2600 processor, a GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon RX 570 graphics card, DirectX 11 and 3,600 MB of free storage. Steam does not publish a complete recommended configuration, graphics preset guidance, RAM requirement, resolution target or frame-rate benchmark, so no honest source-based FPS promise can be made.

Official PC requirements at a glance

The following values are the requirements currently shown on the Steam listing for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. They are the game listing’s specifications, not the result of a laboratory performance test.

Component Steam minimum Steam recommended section
Architecture 64-bit processor and operating system 64-bit processor and operating system
Operating system Windows 7 (64-bit) Not stated
Processor Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 2600 Not stated
Graphics GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon RX 570 Not stated
DirectX Version 11 Not stated
Memory (RAM) Not stated Not stated
Storage 3,600 MB available space 3,600 MB available space

The recommended column is unusually sparse. Apart from a 64-bit processor and operating system and the same 3,600 MB storage figure, Steam gives no recommended CPU, GPU, RAM amount, display resolution, graphics preset or frame-rate target.

How to interpret each requirement

64-bit processor and operating system

A 64-bit CPU and operating system are mandatory in the listing. A 32-bit installation is therefore outside the documented baseline even if the processor itself is physically capable of 64-bit operation. In Windows, open Settings > System > About and inspect System type to confirm that the installed operating system is 64-bit.

Windows 7 minimum versus the Steam client’s current support note

The game page names Windows 7 (64-bit) as its minimum operating system. Separately, Steam states that its client supports Windows 10 and later from January 1, 2024. That client notice should not be presented as a revised game requirement: it describes the Steam application’s support policy, while the game listing still displays Windows 7 (64-bit) as the minimum. In practical terms, a person using an older Windows installation must satisfy both the game listing and whatever operating-system version the Steam client can currently run.

Processor

The listed CPU alternatives are Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 2600. They are two reference points, not a statement that every processor with a similar name will perform identically. Laptop chips, low-power variants, thermal limits and system configuration can change real behavior. If your CPU is not one of these models, the published information does not provide a formal equivalency table; treat the listed parts as the comparison points Steam supplies rather than as a guaranteed performance tier.

Graphics card

Steam lists a GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon RX 570. These are the only published GPU references. The listing does not state a target resolution, visual preset, texture setting, display refresh rate or frame rate associated with either card. A card that appears newer by model number cannot automatically be translated into a guaranteed result without a tested comparison.

DirectX 11

DirectX Version 11 is part of the minimum specification. Windows includes DirectX components, but the installed runtime, graphics driver and hardware feature support still need to function correctly. If a game fails during startup with a graphics or DirectX message, record the exact error and check whether the driver recognizes the GPU before assuming that a faster card is required.

Storage

The listing requires 3,600 MB of available space, roughly 3.6 GB in decimal terms. “Available” means free capacity at installation time; the drive also needs room for temporary files, updates and the operating system. Steam does not state a separate patch reserve, so keeping additional headroom is sensible, but the only documented number is 3,600 MB.

RAM is not specified

Neither the minimum nor recommended section gives a memory amount. Do not turn the absence of a number into an invented recommendation. If the game loads slowly, stutters or closes, note total installed RAM, memory use from other applications and the exact behavior, but understand that the official listing does not identify a RAM threshold.

Can your PC run Avatar Legends?

Use this check in order. It distinguishes a documented compatibility match from a performance guarantee.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Confirm 64-bit Windows. In Settings > System > About, verify the system type. The Steam game listing requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
  2. Check the operating-system situation. Compare your Windows version with the game listing’s Windows 7 (64-bit) minimum, then account separately for Steam’s client support note covering Windows 10 and later from January 1, 2024.
  3. Identify the CPU. In Settings > System > About or Task Manager > Performance > CPU, record the exact model and compare it with the i5-7500 and Ryzen 2600 references in the table.
  4. Identify the GPU. Open Task Manager > Performance > GPU or Device Manager > Display adapters and record the precise model. The published graphics references are GTX 970 and RX 570.
  5. Check DirectX and free space. Run dxdiag from the Windows search box to inspect the DirectX version and driver information, and check the Steam library drive for at least 3,600 MB of free capacity.
  6. Separate “meets minimum” from “runs well.” Matching every listed item means your configuration aligns with the stated baseline. It does not establish a particular frame rate, resolution, preset, loading time or online experience.

Why Steam’s recommended requirements do not answer the performance question

Many PC listings provide two complete profiles, such as minimum for low settings and recommended for a target resolution. This one does not. Steam repeats only the 64-bit processor-and-operating-system requirement and 3,600 MB storage in the recommended section; it supplies no faster CPU, stronger GPU or memory figure.

That omission matters when deciding whether a computer is suitable for a high-refresh monitor or a specific visual preset. There is no official basis here for saying that the GTX 970 delivers a particular number of frames per second, that the Ryzen 2600 is sufficient for a named resolution, or that a certain amount of RAM is “recommended.” Any such claim would go beyond the published specification.

Performance settings: what is documented and what is not

No official settings matrix or benchmark is published

The reviewed official product material does not document a PC graphics-settings menu, explain which options affect performance or publish benchmark results. It therefore cannot support a settings-by-settings tuning guide, a guaranteed FPS range or an upgrade hierarchy. The safest approach is to inspect the options available in your own installation and change one setting at a time while observing the result.

A practical, evidence-aware test routine

  1. Launch the game with the system connected to AC power if you are using a laptop, and close unusually heavy background workloads so the result reflects the game rather than a competing task.
  2. Write down the initial display mode, resolution and any quality controls shown by the installed build. Do not assume that a control exists because another PC game uses the same name.
  3. Play the same short local scenario after each single change. Record visible symptoms such as inconsistent animation, delayed input, a crash or a display-mode failure instead of assigning an unsupported FPS number.
  4. Restore the previous value if a change makes the experience worse. Because no official benchmark target is supplied, your own repeatable observation is more meaningful than a made-up “ideal” preset.
  5. Check whether a problem occurs offline and online. A local rendering issue and a network synchronization issue require different investigation.

Do not confuse game updates with new graphics requirements

Official announcements show continuing development, but the updates described do not state that they changed the minimum CPU, GPU, DirectX or storage requirements. A patch can alter behavior without changing the specification table. Recheck the current Steam listing after a major update rather than assuming that a new feature automatically raises the hardware requirement.

Rendering performance is different from online connection quality

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is described as a 1v1 fighter with hand-drawn 2D animation, rollback netcode and cross-play. Those features explain the type of experience, not a PC frame-rate target. Rollback networking can make a match feel responsive by correcting synchronized game state, but it cannot make an underperforming graphics card render frames faster. Conversely, a computer can render a local match smoothly while a poor connection produces delay or visible corrections.

When diagnosing an online complaint, first determine whether the symptom appears in a local match. If local animation and input are consistent but online play shows delay or corrections, record the connection conditions and match behavior separately from GPU or CPU observations. The available official material does not provide a network-speed threshold, latency target or cross-play troubleshooting table.

Recent official updates to keep in context

October 7, 2026 announcement

An official announcement dated October 7, 2026 describes an update introducing Open Lobbies and spectating. It also discusses story-difficulty changes and gameplay adjustments. The announcement does not say that those additions changed the PC system requirements or added a new graphics preset.

July 29 keyboard-remapping update

An earlier official announcement says a July 29 update added keyboard-control remapping. That is a control feature, not evidence of a new processor, graphics or memory requirement. If your installation exposes remapping, use the controls shown by the current build rather than relying on descriptions from an older version.

Troubleshooting by symptom

The game will not start

  • Confirm the 64-bit operating-system requirement and compare your CPU and GPU models with the published baseline.
  • Run dxdiag and note the DirectX and display-driver information shown there.
  • Check that the Steam library drive has more than the required 3,600 MB available, including room for an update.
  • Capture the exact error text. Without that detail, it is not possible to distinguish an operating-system, driver, file, permission or hardware problem reliably.

The game starts but rendering is inconsistent

  • Use the in-game options exposed by your installed version and change one control at a time.
  • Record whether the issue is constant, limited to a particular scene or associated with a display-mode change.
  • Compare local play with online play so network behavior is not misdiagnosed as rendering performance.
  • Do not infer a required upgrade solely from a single symptom; the official materials publish no benchmark that identifies a failing component.

Online matches feel delayed

  • Test a local match first. If the local experience is stable, document the online-only symptom separately.
  • Remember that rollback netcode and cross-play describe the game’s networking design, not a guaranteed latency or connection result.
  • Because no official latency or bandwidth target is stated, avoid treating an unofficial number as a system requirement.

Should you upgrade your PC?

Your situation What the published information supports
Every listed minimum is met The PC matches the documented baseline; actual performance still needs to be observed on that system.
CPU or GPU is below the listed reference Compatibility is uncertain from the available specification. No official comparison identifies how far below is acceptable.
CPU and GPU meet the references but the OS is 32-bit The system does not satisfy the 64-bit requirement.
Storage is below 3,600 MB free Free space must be increased before installation or an update can be expected to complete.
You want a specific FPS or resolution The listing does not provide a target or benchmark, so a purchase decision requires testing the actual system or obtaining independent measurements.

There is no evidence-based order in which to replace parts. The official pages do not establish whether a CPU, GPU, RAM or storage upgrade produces the largest improvement for a particular fault. Upgrade only after identifying the symptom and confirming that the replacement addresses it; do not treat the minimum list as a shopping recommendation.

What to verify before installing or troubleshooting

  • Exact title: Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, not another Avatar-branded game.
  • 64-bit processor and operating system.
  • Windows version, with the game listing and Steam client policy considered separately.
  • Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 2600 CPU reference.
  • GTX 970 or RX 570 GPU reference.
  • DirectX 11 support and functioning display drivers.
  • At least 3,600 MB of available storage.
  • Current in-game options and the exact symptom you are trying to measure.

Bottom line

Steam’s published baseline is clear enough to answer “Can my PC run Avatar Legends?” at a compatibility level: verify 64-bit Windows, the listed CPU and GPU class, DirectX 11 and 3,600 MB of free space. It is not detailed enough to promise a frame rate or prescribe settings. Because the recommended section omits CPU, GPU, RAM, resolution, preset and FPS targets, use the table as a minimum check, inspect the options in your installed build and judge performance from repeatable behavior on your own hardware.
