The Aurzen BOOM air is a compact Full HD projector with Google TV, fast automatic setup and a built-in adjustable stand. It can produce a clean-looking image in a dim room at a sensible size, but its 300 ANSI lumens are not a basis for expecting a bright daytime picture, and an independent review found sharpness and brightness less even toward the edges. It makes the most sense when portability and streaming convenience matter more than uniformity, stereo sound or large-screen performance in ambient light.
What kind of image does the BOOM air produce?
Aurzen lists a native resolution of 1920 × 1080 (Full HD) and HDR10 support. Its “4K” claim means the projector can accept 4K input over HDMI; the image it displays remains 1080p. The product page also lists a 40% NTSC color gamut and a 500:1 contrast ratio. Aurzen’s specifications and explanation of 4K input
Brightness is the main constraint on where and how large to project. Aurzen rates the BOOM air at 300 ANSI lumens and says it performs best in dim or moderately lit environments. The manufacturer’s suggested image sizes vary with darkness:
| Room conditions | Aurzen’s recommended image size |
|---|---|
| Dim indoor light | 40–60 inches |
| Darkened room | 80–100 inches |
| Completely dark room | 100–200 inches |
These are manufacturer recommendations, not guarantees that every image size will look equally bright or detailed. In a June 2026 review, Son-Vidéo.com tested on a white wall with streaming video and PS5 games, reporting image sizes of roughly 42–65 inches at about 1.2–1.8 metres. The reviewer found center detail stronger than edge detail and observed brightness variation on uniform colors. Those flaws were less noticeable with moving content at modest sizes, particularly around 70–75 inches or below. Son-Vidéo.com’s June 2026 review and test observations

Does automatic setup improve the experience?
The BOOM air has a 110° adjustable stand, ToF real-time focus and real-time keystone correction. Son-Vidéo.com found automatic focus and alignment quick and convenient, which helps when the projector needs to be moved or set up casually.
For the cleanest image, prioritize placement
When image quality matters more than speed, the reviewer advises switching off automatic keystone correction and placing the projector squarely in front of the projection surface. Digital keystone correction can reduce effective image area and detail; if the projected image is shifted, illuminated areas outside it can also form a bright border. The stand can help aim the unit, but correcting a steep angle in software is not cost-free.

What streaming, ports and power does it include?
Aurzen lists Google TV, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. Its product page names streaming apps including Netflix and YouTube. For wired connections, the listed ports are one HDMI, one USB and one USB-C input for power. The product listing describes the HDMI connection as the route for 4K input; it does not change the projector’s native Full HD output. Aurzen BOOM air product details

How portable is it, and what is in the box?
Aurzen lists dimensions of 115 × 103 × 270 mm and a net weight of 1.23 kg (2.71 lb). A 1/4-inch mounting screw offers another way to position it. The listed box contents are the projector, remote, AC adapter, power cord, cleaning kit and manual. Aurzen’s page is inconsistent about remote batteries: its descriptive contents say two AAA batteries are not included, while the specifications do not clarify battery inclusion. Confirm the package details for your region if that matters. Aurzen product specifications and box contents
How good is the built-in sound, and how noisy is it?
Aurzen lists a 10W Dolby Audio speaker, but that specification does not establish stereo playback. Son-Vidéo.com describes one built-in driver, with clear vocals but no stereo imaging, and suggests Bluetooth audio for more impact. If sound separation or fuller audio is important, plan on an external speaker rather than treating the projector’s audio branding or wattage as proof of a stereo system.

Noise figures also depend on whose measurement you use. Aurzen lists a maximum noise level of no more than 26.5 dB. In its 2026 test, Son-Vidéo.com measured 35 dB at one metre in Eco mode, approximately 40.5 dB in Standard mode and 43–44 dB in High mode; it reported 34 dB of background noise in the test room. These figures come from different sources and measurement contexts, which are not established as equivalent, so they should not be collapsed into one expected operating level. Who is the BOOM air best suited to?
- Consider it if you want a compact, easy-to-position Full HD projector with built-in Google TV for a room you can dim.
- Be cautious if you expect a bright image with lights on, consistently crisp detail all the way to the edges, or a very large picture without darkening the room.
- Plan for an accessory if you need outlet-free operation or stronger sound: portable use requires a compatible 65W USB-C PD power source, and the single built-in driver is not stereo.
Son-Vidéo.com’s comparison with the Xming Page One is limited to that publication’s assessment: it found the Aurzen lighter and more compact, with a built-in adjustable stand and faster automatic setup, while describing the Xming as more consistent in sharpness and brightness, quieter, and equipped with true stereo sound. That comparison is useful for those specific trade-offs, not a broad ranking of current projectors.
