Yes, in some situations—but it depends on what you mean by “transfer.” If you are moving your own AT&T home internet to a new address, use AT&T’s move-service process. If another person is taking financial responsibility for the service at the same address, AT&T’s separate billing-responsibility transfer may apply. It keeps the service at that address, and all AT&T home internet, TV, or digital phone services there must transfer together.
First, choose the right kind of transfer
“Wi-Fi” usually means the home internet subscription in this question, not just the router or wireless signal. AT&T treats moving service and changing who is financially responsible as different processes.

AT&T’s moving page says internet service is linked to the account holder and “cannot be transferred.” That guidance concerns transferring service through a move; AT&T separately provides a process for transferring billing responsibility at the existing service address.

The current account owner starts the request, and the recipient must accept it. AT&T directs the owner to att.com/tobr to sign in, choose “Start transfer,” and follow the prompts. Tell the recipient which email address was used to submit the request so they can identify the invitation.

- Current owner: Sign in at att.com/tobr, select “Start transfer,” and complete the requested information.
- Recipient: Open AT&T’s emailed or texted link, enter the verification code, and choose to accept the transfer.
- Recipient: Review the services, plans, charges, and terms, then complete the prompts. A satisfactory credit evaluation may be required; AT&T may require an advance payment depending on the evaluation.
Check eligibility before starting
- The current owner must authorize the transfer. AT&T’s initiator page says the account must have been active for at least 60 days.
- The account must be active and not past due. If wireless and home services are combined, AT&T says wireless must be separated before an online request; a combined account may require help from AT&T.
- The recipient must meet AT&T’s minimum age requirement: 18 in most states, 19 in Alabama, and 21 in Puerto Rico.
- The service address cannot change as part of a billing-responsibility transfer. If the address has multiple AT&T home services, they must all transfer at the same time.

What the new account owner takes on
Accepting the transfer makes the recipient financially and contractually responsible for the services they accept, including applicable one-time and recurring charges and equipment obligations. AT&T says the recipient may have to return equipment if service is later canceled or pay applicable non-return fees. The first bill may include partial-month charges or credits.

Do not assume the old monthly price, plan, discount, or promotion will remain. AT&T says plans, features, and pricing can change based on service terms or offer eligibility, and discounts or offers may not transfer. The recipient should review the terms and charges shown during acceptance before completing the request.
If you are moving to a different home
Use AT&T’s move-service guidance instead of trying to transfer billing responsibility. Check whether AT&T internet is available at the destination, then arrange the move. AT&T will tell you whether self-installation is available or a technician is needed, and what to do with existing equipment. Bring equipment only as AT&T directs; do not assume it should be returned, reused, or replaced.

If you are a new resident taking over a home, the billing-responsibility process may be an option only if the service remains at the same address and the account and services meet AT&T’s conditions. Otherwise, AT&T’s moving page directs new residents to check availability and open a new account.

Being able to manage an AT&T account online does not by itself make someone financially responsible for the service. AT&T lists primary and secondary online access separately from the account owner’s financial responsibility. To change who is responsible for bills and contractual obligations, use the billing-responsibility process rather than simply adding online access. See AT&T’s account-management roles.
