The ATK Blazing Sky F1 V3 is a compact, symmetrical wireless gaming mouse built around very low listed weight and a maximum 8000 Hz polling rate. Its small-to-medium-hand sizing and claw-friendly shape are likely to matter more to most buyers than the headline polling number. Choose between the Ultimate+ and Extreme+ carefully: they use different switches, MCUs and batteries, and ATK claims a substantial runtime gap at 1000 Hz.
What the F1 V3 offers
ATK lists the F1 V3 at 118.2 × 62.4 × 38.8 mm and positions it for small-to-medium hands and claw or palm grip. Its listed weight is 37±3 g for Ultimate+ and 36±3 g for Extreme+. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. The one-gram difference in nominal weight is unlikely to matter as much as whether the shape suits your hand and grip.
The two configurations share a PAW3955 Master sensor, wired and 2.4 GHz connectivity, and a maximum advertised polling rate of 8000 Hz. ATK also lists a 10–50,000 DPI range and button latency of 0.174 ms for Ultimate+ and 0.163 ms for Extreme+. Those figures are specifications, not independently verified performance results; the very high DPI ceiling is not a practical advantage for ordinary desktop use.

ATK’s battery-life figures are manufacturer claims at 1000 Hz, not independently measured results. Runtime will vary with settings and use, and higher polling rates can shorten it. On listed specifications, Ultimate+ is the battery-capacity choice; Extreme+ is marginally lighter by nominal weight and has different switches and an MCU. The available hands-on accounts do not establish a universally better click implementation or MCU, so click preference cannot be settled from the model names alone.

How useful is 8000 Hz polling?
Polling rate describes how often a mouse reports its position to the computer. An 8000 Hz maximum is a capability, not a requirement. In Steve Emms’ August 26, 2026 LinuxLinks review, he wrote that “The benefit of 8,000Hz is most apparent with very high refresh rate displays and games where input latency matters.” For ordinary desktop use, he found the difference over 1000 Hz much less noticeable, and preferred 1000 or 2000 Hz for everyday use. He also noted higher CPU activity and reduced battery life at higher rates.
One individual r/MouseReview user reported skips and a laggy feel at 8000 Hz, with instability beginning at 4000 Hz on their setup. That is a useful warning to test settings on your own computer, but one user’s experience does not establish a general defect or failure rate. If you notice instability or do not perceive a benefit, reduce the polling rate rather than assuming the maximum setting is best.

Shape, grip and everyday controls
LinuxLinks reviewer Emms describes a compact symmetrical shell with a modest rear hump and says it suited his claw grip particularly well. He found the matte finish and supplied textured grip pads helpful, and reported little shell flex or creaking in normal use. These are one reviewer’s impressions, not durability testing. The shape is presented for small-to-medium hands and claw or palm grip, but hand size alone cannot guarantee a comfortable fit.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThere is no dedicated DPI switch on the base, according to Emms; sensitivity changes require ATK HUB or its configuration options. That makes setup software more relevant if you frequently change sensitivity profiles. The Ultimate+ product listing includes the GEM 8K dongle, data cable, full-size skates, ten dot skates and grip tape. ATK also displayed optional promotional gifts such as an arm sleeve or mouse pad; offers can change.

Linux compatibility and configuration
In Emms’ August 26, 2026 review, ordinary pointer movement and button functions worked in wired and 2.4 GHz modes on Linux as a standard USB HID mouse, without a dedicated Linux driver. For configuration, he used ATK HUB in a browser after setting up the required hidraw permissions. This is a positive hands-on report, not a guarantee for every Linux distribution or system configuration. The distinction matters: basic mouse operation and access to deeper settings are separate questions.
Clicks, polling stability and battery reports
Hands-on impressions are not uniform. Emms reported accurate tracking and a rigid-feeling shell. By contrast, an individual r/MouseReview post described the main clicks as stiff and heavy-feeling, reported concern about sleep and waking, and found high-rate operation unstable on that user’s setup. These are attributed observations rather than controlled tests, so they identify points worth checking rather than proving a consistent issue across units.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
The same post reported battery use of about 1–2% per hour under that user’s stated 2000 Hz configuration and other performance settings. It is a single setup-specific observation, not a dependable runtime estimate. It also should not be treated as directly comparable to ATK’s 1000 Hz manufacturer claims.

Price and buying considerations
ATK’s official listing showed Ultimate+ at $69.98 USD when accessed October 7, 2026; LinuxLinks’ August 26, 2026 review said Ultimate+ was then priced at $64.98 on ATK’s website. These are dated seller-page observations, not stable street prices, and regional shipping, taxes and warranty terms can change the total cost. There is no controlled side-by-side performance comparison in the available hands-on coverage. When weighing this mouse against another, compare the things that directly affect your use: hand fit and grip, shape and balance, click feel, battery behavior at your intended polling rate, stability on your system, software access and operating-system support, plus delivered price and warranty. The evidence supports a compact, low-weight proposition, but not a claim that it outperforms competing mice.
