ASUS’s March 2025 Vivobook S14/S16 announcement is the closest match to the claims in the headline, but it does not list a “Core 7 350” processor for those models. The 144Hz screen is an option on certain 16-inch IPS configurations, and the “up to 20 hours” battery figure comes from a controlled video-playback test—not a guarantee of everyday battery life. ASUS’s separate January 2026 Vivobook announcement covers different models with 60Hz displays.
Which ASUS laptops match the 144Hz and 20-hour claims?
The closest match is ASUS’s March 13, 2025 announcement of the Vivobook S14 and S16 series, covering the S3407VA/CA and S3607VA/CA families. ASUS describes 14- and 16-inch laptops, a 70Wh battery, and up to 20 hours of battery life. Those are series-level claims; the exact processor and display depend on the model and panel configuration.
ASUS cautions that specifications and availability can vary by country. The announcement does not establish one configuration that combines a “Core 7 350” processor, a 144Hz screen, and 20 hours of battery life.

Does the ASUS Vivobook S16 have a 144Hz screen?
Some 16-inch S16 configurations do: ASUS lists a WUXGA IPS 144Hz option in the March 2025 series specifications. The same family also has an OLED option listed at 60Hz. For the 14-inch S14, the listed WUXGA IPS panel is 60Hz.

| 2025 family and panel | Refresh rate listed by ASUS |
|---|---|
| 14-inch S14, WUXGA IPS | 60Hz |
| 16-inch S16, WUXGA IPS option | 144Hz |
| 16-inch S16, OLED option | 60Hz |
These refresh rates apply to the panel options identified in ASUS’s 2025 announcement; they should not be read as a specification for every S14 or S16. Check the exact SKU and display type before buying.
Which processor is in the ASUS Vivobook S14 and S16?
ASUS lists different processors for the VA and CA variants of the March 2025 S3407/S3607 families:
Rank #2
- UNLEASH EFFORTLESS PERFORMANCE — Power through any task with Windows 11 Home, a blazing-fast AMD Ryzen 9 processor with a 45+ TOPS NPU,24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a spacious 512GB SSD
- STUNNING, SMOOTH VISUALS — 14” 3K (2880 x 1800) 120Hz ASUS Lumina OLED display delivers extremely smooth and vivid visuals, with a taller 16:10 aspect ratio that allows you to see more. - VA variants: Intel Core i5-13420H or Intel Core i7-13620H.
- CA variants: Intel Core Ultra 5 225H or Intel Core Ultra 7 255H.
None of those processor options is named “Core 7 350” in the S14/S16 announcement. ASUS did use the name AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 in a separate January 2025 announcement covering other Zenbook and select Vivobook products. That does not confirm a Ryzen AI 7 350 configuration for the S3407/S3607 models.
ASUS’s January 7, 2026 Vivobook 14/16 announcement is another, separate product generation. It identifies X1407AA and X1607AA models with up to Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 3 processors and WUXGA IPS displays listed at 60Hz. It does not resolve the “Core 7 350” wording or confirm the 2025 S-series 144Hz and battery claims for those later models.

How long does the Vivobook S14 battery last?
ASUS advertises up to 20 hours for the 2025 S14/S16 series, but its supporting test was specific: ASUS tested a Vivobook S14 S3407CA with a 2K IPS panel, Intel Core Ultra 5 225H, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, and a 70Wh battery. In February 2025, it played 1080p video with Wi-Fi and keyboard backlighting disabled, Windows Power Mode set to Balance, and brightness at 150 cd/m².
That is a vendor-reported result under those conditions, not an independently verified measurement or a prediction for mixed everyday use. ASUS says actual battery life may vary with configuration, usage, operating conditions, and power-management settings, and that battery life declines over time. The release also states a fast-charge claim of 60% in 49 minutes; that, too, is an ASUS-published product claim rather than an independent test result.
Rank #4
- Aspect Ratio:16:9
- 14” Full HD NanoEdge bezel display with stunning 85% screen-to-body ratio
- 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 Quad Core Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.2 GHz, with IPU)
- Windows 10 Home
- 8GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD
What to check before choosing a configuration
Because the series includes different processors and display options, compare the exact model rather than relying on a headline or family name. Confirm the country-specific retail listing, since ASUS notes that specifications and availability may differ by country.
