The Optimum 9400X is a high-speed commercial-grade blender with a 1.8 L jug, configurable digital controls and a manufacturer-rated 2,200 W motor. Its headline specifications and an older test award make it worth considering, but neither establishes how well it will blend in your kitchen or how loud it will be there. This review separates the maker’s claims from the limited independent evidence and highlights what to verify before buying.
What the Optimum 9400X is
Optimum Appliances markets the 9400X as a commercial-grade high-speed blender. It is a kitchen appliance, not a computer processor. The specifications below come from the manufacturer’s product page, rather than independent measurements.

These figures are vendor-listed specifications, not a substitute for measured performance. In particular, idle RPM and motor wattage do not tell you how smoothly the blender handles a particular ingredient or recipe. The noise figures are not accompanied by an independent measurement protocol, so they should not be treated as a guarantee of quiet operation in a specific room.

The manufacturer lists the blender base, a 1.8 L jug with lid and cap, a tamper and a manual. The sound cover is optional, not part of the listed standard contents. Check the exact regional package and seller listing before ordering, especially if noise reduction is central to your decision.

Controls and advertised uses
The 9400X combines five customizable buttons with manual speed, time and pulse controls. That gives it both preset-style access and hands-on adjustment, although the feature list alone cannot establish how intuitive the interface will feel. Consult the English 9400X manual for operating instructions and safety guidance before using it.
Optimum lists smoothies, soups, nut butters, frozen desserts, ice, dips, grinding nuts and grains, and dough among possible uses. These are advertised capabilities, not results independently verified for this review. If you plan to use it for a particular task, consult the manual and consider whether the jug capacity, controls and cleaning routine suit that workload.

Can the 9400X blend meat?
In a reader Q&A, Optimum Appliances says boneless meat can be blended and advises using small quantities, pulse and high speed, with the tamper as needed. That is manufacturer advice reproduced on ProductReview.com.au, not an independent test. Follow the manual’s instructions and food-safety guidance, and do not assume the advice applies to bone-in meat.
How strong is the independent evidence?
Testberichte.de reports that ETM Testmagazin issue 1/2022 rated the 9400X Extreme 94.5% and named it test winner, first among five models. This is a historical result reported secondarily; the original test methods were not reviewed here. What to confirm before buying
- Usable capacity: 1.8 L is the listed jug capacity; check the manual for fill limits relevant to the foods and recipes you intend to make.
- Noise setup: determine whether your package includes the optional cover, and treat the listed decibel range as a manufacturer claim rather than a comparable independent test.
- Counter fit: check the dimensions and clearance requirements in the current manual or seller listing; dimensions are not stated in the cited product-page facts here.
- Cleaning and workload: read the manual for cleaning, operating and safety instructions, especially if the blender will see frequent or commercial use.
- Ownership terms: verify the warranty applicable in your region, current price, stock and replacement-part access with the seller. The product page lists five years for domestic use and one year for commercial use, but regional terms should be confirmed.
Verdict
The Optimum 9400X offers a large set of manufacturer-listed capabilities, manual and customizable controls, and a sound cover option. The strongest outside performance signal in the available evidence is a test result reported for 2021/2022, which is too old and too limited to settle a current buying comparison. Consider it if its capacity and control options match your work, but base the decision on the manual, local warranty and package contents—not wattage, idle speed or an unverified expectation of quiet operation.
