Asphalt Legends’ limited-time TEKKEN 8 Spotlight runs from 14 October through 11 November 2026. The Gameloft event transforms a conventional Asphalt track into a ring-like arena for best-of-three crash battles, adds a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Tekken 8 Edition, and offers decals featuring Jin, Kazuya, Reina, Lili and Yoshimitsu.
What is the Tekken 8 event in Asphalt Legends?
The collaboration is a branded Spotlight event in Asphalt Legends, not a separate Tekken game mode or a full fighting-game port. Your playable character remains a car. Tekken 8 supplies the visual identity, fighter-themed decals and the ring concept, while the driving model becomes the basis for direct vehicle combat.

Gameloft describes the feature as a “Tekken-inspired mode” that “turns the track into a ring.” Instead of racing to a finish line, competitors attack one another by crashing. A match is decided either by knockouts or by remaining life when the clock expires.
When does the Asphalt Legends Tekken event start and end?
The official event calendar schedules the TEKKEN 8 Spotlight for 14 October 2026 through 11 November 2026. That is a four-week, limited-time window. Access, rewards and any event-specific progression should therefore be treated as time-limited; the published announcement does not state that the content will return after 11 November or explain post-event unlocks.

- Ram opponents to deal with the combat objective. Crashes can produce a knockout, making aggressive positioning and collision timing central to winning.
- Win on life if the timer expires. If neither side is knocked out before time runs out, the vehicle with the most remaining life takes the round.
The announcement does not publish damage values, arena layouts, vehicle-stat modifiers, matchmaking rules or a detailed reward track. Those practical details may be shown in the live event interface and can change independently of the headline schedule.

The headline vehicle is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Tekken 8 Edition. The event calendar also lists these cars as event vehicles:

What is Tekken 8, and where can you play it?
TEKKEN 8 is Bandai Namco’s 3D fighting game and the newest main installment in the Tekken series. Bandai Namco’s 26 February 2024 release says it launched on 26 January 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. The same release identifies Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima as central story characters and describes a roster of 32 graphically refreshed fighters.

The official release does not establish current retail prices, regional editions, stock status or performance settings. Check the relevant platform store for live availability and pricing before buying. The Asphalt crossover itself does not replace or include the full Tekken 8 game.
Why the crossover matters
Bandai Namco reported that Tekken 8 surpassed 1 million copies worldwide on its first day and 2 million copies worldwide in its first month. Those are publisher-reported figures from 2024, not independent sales measurements. The release also reported a 90 Metascore and said Tekken 7 had exceeded 11.8 million copies worldwide by the end of December 2023.
