ASKO’s documents give slightly different maximum-height figures, and CHOICE marks the model discontinued. Width and depth are listed consistently as 596 mm and 559 mm. Height is not: ASKO’s specification sheet gives 819 mm and a maximum product height of 869 mm, while the manual states a range of 819–872 mm. These figures should not be silently treated as identical. Before purchase, check the actual installation guide, the adjustment range for the unit you are considering, the available cavity and the cabinetry or door-panel requirements. If measurements are tight, confirm them with ASKO or the seller rather than relying on a retailer summary.

The specification sheet gives a maximum water-inlet temperature of 70 °C. Check that your plumbing connection and the instructions for the specific installation meet the manual’s requirements.
What the cycle and rating figures tell you
The manual identifies Eco as the standard program used for energy labelling and gives its program time as 2 hours 50 minutes. The specification sheet lists the reference program at 169 minutes—the same duration expressed in minutes. This is a long cycle by clock time, so consider whether the Eco program’s schedule suits your routine; the supplied material does not establish durations for other programs.

These are published ratings and claims, not a substitute for an accessible independent wash or drying score. CHOICE reports the DFI654B.AU as discontinued. An indexed retailer page for the exact model does not confirm current stock or price. If you find a new, refurbished or used listing, verify that the unit is actually available, establish the seller’s warranty and return terms, and confirm that installation parts and service support can be obtained before committing.

The available information does not establish a model-compatible replacement part number for the integrated kick-plate brackets. One owner asked about missing brackets, and a reply said they came with the dishwasher and a new set would be needed if missing; that exchange does not verify a compatible part. Ask ASKO or an authorised parts supplier to identify the exact item against the model and product code before ordering.
What owners’ comments can—and cannot—show
Individual owner posts mention an F56 message, cleaning, basket movement and service, while one favorable account mentions loading, drying and noise. These are self-selected, small-sample anecdotes, not controlled tests or evidence of typical performance or a failure rate. For an F56 message or another fault, use the DFI654B.AU manual’s model-specific instructions and contact ASKO support if the listed steps do not resolve it.

Care and practical troubleshooting
- Before loading: Scrape off large food particles and avoid stacking items; stacked dishes may not wash properly.
- After each wash: Clean the coarse filter, following the model manual’s procedure.
- Filter maintenance: ASKO recommends cleaning the stainless filter every three months, or sooner depending on use.
- Drying: ASKO says rinse aid aids drying; use dishwasher-specific detergent.
- Basket rolls out: ASKO says this may mean the dishwasher is not level and recommends adjusting the rear leg to level it.
- Door will not close properly: ASKO says incorrect installation may be the cause; check the use and care guide or contact ASKO service.
For filter removal, fault codes, installation adjustments and other model-specific steps, follow the DFI654B.AU manual rather than relying on generic dishwasher advice.

How to judge a listing against another dishwasher
Do not decide on the published energy, water or noise figures alone. Compare the actual installation fit, independently measured wash and drying performance, cycle times, label figures, noise, warranty and service arrangements, and current price and availability.
