The ASKO DBI565IK.S.AU is a 16-place integrated dishwasher with a flexible three-basket layout, automatic door opening for drying, built-in Wi-Fi and published figures of 10.6 litres of water per reference programme and 40 dB(A) maximum noise. Those specifications make it worth considering if capacity and a quiet-running design matter, but they do not establish how well it cleans or how reliable it is: the publicly visible CHOICE page does not show its test scores. Before buying, check the cabinet opening against ASKO’s exact dimensions and confirm the current price, warranty terms and independent test information.
What the ASKO DBI565IK.S.AU offers
ASKO lists the DBI565IK.S.AU as a built-in/built-under Logic dishwasher in its XL 82 cm size. Its headline capacity is 16 place settings, arranged across three baskets. That is a substantial stated capacity, but whether it suits your household depends on the size and shape of the items you wash and how the racks work with your usual load.

The upper Premium rack includes two foldable wine shelves and a foldable glass support; the lower rack has foldable pin rows. These give you some flexibility for glasses and larger items. The cutlery basket can be removed. ASKO also lists Super Cleaning System+, Sensi Clean, Turbo Combi Drying and TotalDry as product features. They describe the manufacturer’s design, not independently verified cleaning or drying results.

ASKO’s exact-model product sheet lists 4.5 energy stars and six water stars. It gives estimated annual electricity use of 216 kWh, water consumption of 10.6 L, and a reference-programme energy use of 0.571 kWh. The reference programme is listed as 178 minutes. Treat these as published specifications, not results from an independent review or a guarantee of the consumption you will get: actual use depends on the selected programme, load and household habits.

The maximum noise figure is 40 dB(A), as published by ASKO. That is useful when comparing specifications, particularly for an open-plan kitchen, but it is not a substitute for an independent noise test in your home.
Programmes, options and safety
The exact-model sheet lists nine programmes and nine options. Named options include Green, Speed and Night modes, Super Rinse, and delayed start of up to 24 hours. The machine has visual and sound end-of-cycle indications, a time-remaining display and programme memory.

Check the opening, not just the appliance’s headline size. ASKO gives the DBI565IK.S.AU appliance dimensions as 596 mm wide × 819 mm high × 554 mm deep, with a maximum height of 872 mm. Its stated minimum niche is 600 mm wide and 820 mm high; the required depth including wall spacing is 555 mm. The door-open depth is 1,191 mm.

Measure the cabinet opening and available clearance carefully, including room for the door to open. ASKO’s exact-model product sheet is the appropriate reference for this S.AU variant; confirm the current installation guide before committing, especially if the cabinetry is close to the minimum dimensions.
What do independent reviews and warranty listings establish?
CHOICE has a page for the exact DBI565IK.S.AU model. Its publicly visible content includes specifications, but the Expert Rating and washing, reliability and satisfaction scores are member-only. The visible listing therefore does not establish whether the machine performed well or poorly in CHOICE testing. Do not infer a test verdict from its specification display.

CHOICE displayed a price of $2,499 when its page was accessed in 2026; this is a dated listing, not a guaranteed current price. The page also lists a two-year warranty field. Betta has listed the exact model and states a two-year manufacturer warranty, but that retailer listing is not the full warranty document and does not explain coverage or exclusions. Check ASKO’s current warranty terms, installation conditions and service arrangements before buying.
Who should consider the DBI565IK.S.AU?
- It may suit you if you want a stated 16-place capacity, three baskets and adjustable rack supports, and its minimum niche dimensions match your kitchen.
- Its features may appeal if automatic door opening, Wi-Fi, a time-remaining display or a delayed start are useful in your routine.
- Compare carefully if your decision depends on proven cleaning performance, reliability, satisfaction, current price or full warranty coverage. Those points are not settled by the publicly visible evidence described above.
For a like-for-like comparison with another integrated dishwasher, compare capacity and rack layout alongside the cabinet dimensions, published water and energy figures, noise specification, drying approach, public test results, warranty and installation terms. A similar headline capacity alone is not enough to establish which appliance is better value for your kitchen.
