Arvica Cloud is planning a modular, liquid-cooled GPU colocation facility in Brisbane or South East Queensland, with an initial target of approximately 1 MW and a possible expansion path to approximately 2–3 MW. It is not built or operational: Arvica says it has not secured a site or power allocation. Its Q1 2028 availability or commissioning date is a conditional target, not a confirmed opening date.

What Arvica Cloud is proposing

Arvica describes a high-density GPU colocation development using prefabricated intelligent-compute micro-modules. Its stated plan is to deploy modules in phases as demand is confirmed. The company gives an initial facility target of approximately 1 MW and a design expansion path of approximately 2–3 MW. Those are planning figures that depend on a site, utility capacity, engineering, and development approvals—not confirmed capacity.

The proposed design combines an 800V HVDC power architecture with direct-to-chip liquid cooling and coolant distribution units (CDUs). Arvica describes rack directions from multi-tens of kilowatts to more than 100 kW, and more than 250 kW for its highest-density liquid-cooled configurations. These are design directions only; the module count, supported rack density, and power and cooling capacities remain subject to final engineering.

How the proposed liquid cooling would work

In the described cooling path, cold plates attached to GPUs and CPUs carry heat away from those components. Rack-level supply and return manifolds distribute coolant. CDUs transfer heat from the IT coolant loop to a separate facility water loop.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Not every server component would be liquid-cooled. Power supplies, memory, network interface cards, and storage are among the components Arvica says would remain air-cooled in the rack environment. Actual supported density would depend on the GPU platform and server configuration as well as the cooling-loop design, available utility capacity, and commissioning requirements.

Development status: planned, not operational

Arvica says it is assessing candidate sites in the Brisbane / South East Queensland region against power, connectivity, and expansion criteria. Utility capacity is being assessed for both the initial target and the potential expansion path, but no power allocation is secured. Electrical and liquid-cooling design is at concept stage; construction and fit-out are planned after approvals.

The company lists Q1 2028 as a target for availability or commissioning, conditional on approvals and commissioning. The date should therefore be treated as a planning milestone, not a guaranteed service start. Arvica’s project page is undated; its figures and status statements are attributed to the company and are not independently verified. (Arvica Cloud project page)

What an expression of interest means

Arvica is accepting expressions of interest (EOIs) in four planning bands. They indicate the scale of a prospective requirement, not inventory that can currently be ordered or reserved.

Planning band What it represents
50–100 kW EOI planning band; not confirmed available capacity
100–250 kW EOI planning band; not confirmed available capacity
250–500 kW EOI planning band; not confirmed available capacity
500 kW+ EOI planning band; not confirmed available capacity

Arvica says submitting an EOI creates no payment obligation and does not reserve capacity. The stated next steps are a requirements review and discussion, followed by a written proposal when the site, utility, and engineering positions allow. Capacity is reserved only under a signed agreement. The project page asks prospective customers to state residency needs in the EOI so that locations for compute, storage, and support access can be addressed in a proposal.

Colocation or GPU compute: which service path fits?

The main distinction is who supplies the GPU hardware. In the planned colocation service, the customer brings and owns its GPU equipment; Arvica plans to provide facility infrastructure such as power, cooling, rack space, network, remote hands, and an Australian facility environment. By contrast, Arvica’s GPU cloud and dedicated GPU capacity are separate services in which Arvica supplies compute capacity. The project page does not establish final commercial terms or service specifications for any of these paths. (Arvica Cloud; Arvica Cloud enterprise services)

What prospective customers should verify

Because the development is at an early stage, a prospective customer should distinguish stated design intent from confirmed commercial and technical commitments. Before relying on a target date or planning a deployment, ask Arvica to confirm:

  • Whether a site has been selected and what approvals remain.
  • Whether utility power has been allocated, and what capacity and delivery timing are supported.
  • The final facility capacity, expansion schedule, and rack-density limits for the intended GPU and server configuration.
  • Cooling-loop requirements, including which equipment is liquid-cooled and what must remain air-cooled.
  • Network options, remote-hands scope, residency arrangements, service terms, pricing, and deployment dates in a written proposal.

These details matter because the planned design depends on site, utility, engineering, and commissioning outcomes. The announced project does not yet establish that a particular customer configuration can be deployed.
