Its listed features are clear; its independent performance results are not. CHOICE’s public page hides its test scores, and Arlec lists the model while CHOICE marks it discontinued. Check current stock and the installation details before buying.
What the Arlec PA1123BKHA offers
Arlec describes the PA1123BKHA as a black, single-unit portable air conditioner. Its product page lists the following specifications and features:
- Cooling capacity: 3.3kW (11,000 BTU/h).
- Heating capacity: 2.6kW (8,872 BTU/h).
- Airflow: up to 320m³/h.
- Noise: 67dB, as a stated specification rather than an independent noise-test result.
- Power draw: 1,346W.
- Controls: Grid Connect app control over Wi-Fi, a remote, timer, LED touch panel and three fan speeds.
- Smart assistants: Arlec says it integrates with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa; the assistants are sold separately.

Arlec gives the product specifications on its PA1123BKHA product page. CHOICE independently lists reverse-cycle operation, the same cooling and heating capacities, three fan speeds, a supplied remote and window kit, and R290 refrigerant. It gives the unit’s weight as 29kg and dimensions as 87 × 41 × 48cm (H × W × D). Those figures describe the appliance; they do not establish how easy it will be to move through your home or fit your particular window.

Arlec’s product page displays one customer review, rated four stars. The reviewer, identified only as Anthony, wrote: “Mine works excellent very cold i have to turn it off worth 600”. That is one customer’s report, not an independent test or evidence of typical performance.
How loud is it?
Arlec lists noise at 67dB. ApplianceRatings reports 67 dB(A) indoor sound power in its analysis of the E3 registration data. These are published specification and registration figures, not a direct measurement of what you will hear at a particular distance or in your room. CHOICE’s public page does not reveal its high-fan noise test or noise description, so it does not provide a public independent noise verdict.

What does its energy-use data mean for running costs?
ApplianceRatings’ analysis of trans-Tasman E3 registration data attributed to DCCEEW/EECA reports full-load EER of 2.69 and full-load COP of 2.61 for this model. It also reports annual residential energy figures by climate zone. The figures below come from the 2026 dataset, reported as published on 19 September 2026; they are registration estimates under the scheme’s assumptions, not a forecast of an individual household’s bill.

Will it fit your room and window?
The PA1123BKHA is a portable appliance that needs an exhaust arrangement through a window; Arlec says a window kit is supplied. The available product information does not establish which window styles the kit fits, and CHOICE’s public page does not expose its recommended-room-size field. Do not choose it on an assumed room-area figure or assume the kit suits your window.

Is the PA1123BKHA still available?
Availability is not settled by the published pages. CHOICE labels the model discontinued and displays a $599 price, which should not be treated as a current quote. Arlec still lists the PA1123BKHA on its product page, directs shoppers to Bunnings, and includes it in its portable air conditioner collection. A manufacturer listing does not confirm retailer stock. Check with the retailer for availability, current price, warranty and return conditions before ordering.

When comparing this model with another portable unit, look for evidence on cooling effectiveness, energy use, measured noise, suitable room conditions, window and hose compatibility, weight, heating capability, controls, price and current stock. The PA1123BKHA’s public CHOICE page does not disclose its comparative test scores, so those results cannot be used here to rank it against other models. Arlec’s collection lists several other units, but a manufacturer’s product lineup is not an independent performance ranking.

Arlec’s security-update support table includes the PA1123BKHA, but the applicable end date depends on the unit’s batch code. Owners need to check the code on the product rating label against Arlec’s support-period table. The date concerns security-update support; it does not by itself mean the appliance will stop operating.
