As of October 15, 2026, the standard Official ARK: Survival Ascended profile is reported at 1x for XP, harvesting, taming, baby maturation, egg hatching, imprinting and the mating interval. That is the normal baseline, not a guarantee that every day will be 1x: Studio Wildcard can apply EVO or weekend bonuses, and special server types use different profiles. A live tracker refreshed October 12, 2026, so verify the in-game listing before planning a long tame or breeding project.

The current official-rate answer

“Official rates” does not describe one permanent setting. ASA has a standard Official network, temporary event modifiers, and distinct profiles such as Small Tribes, ARKpocalypse and Conquest. The table below separates the current standard snapshot from the special profiles documented in Studio Wildcard notices.

Profile or window XP Harvesting Taming Breeding Lifecycle and qualification
Standard Official PVP/PVE 1x 1x 1x 1x across the reported maturation, hatch, imprint and mating-interval fields Persistent standard profile; live snapshot refreshed by DinoIndex on October 12, 2026
Official event window cited by Wildcard in 2026 2x 2x 2x Not stated for this specific event line Temporary PVP/PVE event values; the event notice, not the permanent baseline
Small Tribes bonus window cited by Wildcard 4.5x 4.5x 4.5x 4x Temporary values in the cited notice; Small Tribes also has its own tribe and transfer rules
ARKpocalypse bonus window cited by Wildcard 5x 5x 5x 5x ARKpocalypse is a monthly-wipe profile with higher-than-usual rates and curated monthly mods
Conquest Increased, season-specific Increased, season-specific Increased, season-specific Season-specific Large-scale PVP profile; consult the current season announcement or server listing for exact numbers

The 1x row is the answer to “Is official ASA 1x or 2x?” under ordinary conditions: standard Official is 1x. A player seeing 2x, 4.5x or 5x is usually looking at an active event, a special profile, or a different season rather than the normal Standard Official settings.

How ASA multipliers work

Gain and speed settings

For XP, harvested resources and taming effectiveness, 1x is the baseline result. A 2x setting produces twice the corresponding gain under otherwise identical conditions; 4.5x produces four and a half times the baseline, and 5x produces five times the baseline. These are multipliers, not percentages: 2x means 200% of baseline, not a 2% increase.

The same principle applies when a setting makes an activity faster. A higher speed multiplier reduces the real-world time needed for that activity. Actual play still depends on the creature, item, server rules, food, resource node and other game mechanics, so the multiplier is not a promise that every task takes exactly a fixed number of minutes.

Intervals run in the opposite direction

Mating interval is a cooldown, so lower numbers are faster. At 1x, the cooldown is the baseline duration. At 0.5x, the cooldown is approximately half as long and a pair can breed again sooner. Reading a lower interval as “slower” is a common mistake: interval values modify waiting time, while gain and speed values generally increase output or activity speed as they rise.

When comparing a server, keep the breeding fields separate. Maturation, egg hatch or gestation, imprint timing and mating interval affect different parts of the breeding cycle. A server can accelerate one field without changing another.

What the standard Official profile includes

The current tracker snapshot reports 1x for all of the main standard fields: XP, harvesting, taming, baby maturation, egg hatch, imprint and mating interval. “1x breeding” therefore does not mean breeding is disabled; it means those timers and related settings use the baseline profile rather than a built-in acceleration.

ARK: Survival Ascended - Compatible for PS5 - UK PAL
  • Brand new UK Import PAL version. Game in English. UK PSN store account required to use any online features
  • XP: Character and creature experience use the baseline gain.
  • Harvesting: Resource collection uses the baseline yield.
  • Taming: The standard taming rate is 1x; food and creature species still determine the practical duration.
  • Baby maturation: Growth proceeds at the baseline rate.
  • Egg hatch or gestation: The reported hatch field is 1x.
  • Imprinting: Imprint timing uses the baseline setting.
  • Mating interval: The cooldown is the baseline duration, so there is no standard-profile interval reduction.

These values come from a tracker refreshed October 12, 2026, and should be treated as a dated snapshot. Wildcard can change a profile or activate an event after that refresh.

How the special official profiles differ

Small Tribes

Wildcard’s cited 2026 bonus notice lists 4.5x harvesting, taming and experience, with 4x breeding. Those figures describe the announced bonus window, not a promise that every Small Tribes server remains at those values permanently. Small Tribes also has tribe-size and rule restrictions, so a faster multiplier does not make it equivalent to Standard Official PVP.

Use the profile when your priority is faster resource and character progression while still playing within a restricted-tribe environment. Confirm the current notice and the in-game server details before transferring characters or starting a multi-day breeding line.

ARKpocalypse

Studio Wildcard describes ARKpocalypse as “monthly-wipe servers with higher than usual rates and monthly curated mods.” The cited 2026 notice lists 5x harvesting, taming, experience and breeding for its bonus window. The defining trade-off is the wipe cycle: progress is intentionally temporary, unlike a persistent Standard Official server.

Studio Wildcard ARK: Survival Ascended (PlayStation 5)
  • Ark graphics and worlds are completely recreated and designed to use the latest video game technology, Unreal Engine 5
  • Advanced new physical systems such as dynamic water and fully interactive physical leaves
  • Design your survivor, shape the trunk and tame, train, multiply and ride dinosaurs in a vivid ecosystem
  • Public online mode for up to 70 players, private multiplayer mode for up to 8 players + local split screen for 2 players

ARKpocalypse suits players who want rapid progression and a fresh competitive start. It is a poor fit for a permanent base, long-term trophy collection or a breeding project that must survive indefinitely. Check the announced wipe date and the current curated-mod list because both the season and rules can change.

Conquest

Wildcard describes Conquest as a large-scale PVP profile introduced to ASA by Snail Games, with increased rates and cross-platform availability. The exact multiplier is season-specific; there is no single permanent Conquest number to substitute for the current season listing. Read the season announcement for rates, transfer restrictions, map rotation and any other rule changes before choosing a server.

Why guides disagree about “official rates”

Temporary EVO and weekend bonuses

Wildcard periodically applies EVO or weekend modifiers to the Official Network. A guide written during a 2x event can accurately report 2x harvesting, taming and experience for that window while being wrong about the normal profile. Event announcements have an effective period; once it ends, standard servers can return to 1x.

Different server types

Small Tribes, ARKpocalypse and Conquest are not alternate names for Standard Official. Their rates, wipe schedules, tribe rules, transfer policies and PVP structures differ. Comparing only the headline multiplier hides the more important question: how long your progress remains available and what rules govern it.

Old ARK: Survival Evolved information

Historical Official-network policies changed over time, including what Wildcard treated as a base rate. An old Survival Evolved guide can therefore describe a former policy rather than current ASA settings. Always check the date, game edition and profile name before applying a number to ASA.

How to verify the live rate before you commit resources

  1. Identify the profile. In the server browser, read the complete name and tags: Standard Official PVP/PVE, Small Tribes, ARKpocalypse or Conquest. Do not rely on a community nickname.
  2. Check the current event notice. Look for an active EVO or weekend announcement and its start and end times. An event modifier can override the ordinary 1x expectation temporarily.
  3. Inspect the in-game server listing. Compare the displayed rates and rule notes with the profile you intend to join. For Conquest, use the current season information rather than a number from an older season.
  4. Test a low-cost action. Gather a small, known resource amount or record a short XP gain before committing to a large build or tame. This catches a profile mismatch without wasting valuable materials.
  5. Record the date. Write down the profile, event name and date when planning a long project. Rates can change while a creature is maturing or while a server is approaching a wipe.

Third-party trackers are useful for spotting changes, but they are snapshots. The live in-game listing and the current Wildcard announcement take priority when they disagree.

Choosing a profile: a practical comparison

Your priority Most relevant profile or condition What to verify
Permanent base and long-term collection Standard Official PVP or PVE Whether an event is active; ordinary settings are 1x
Rapid progress with a restricted tribe size Small Tribes Current bonus values, tribe limits and transfer rules
Fast progression and a fresh competitive season ARKpocalypse Monthly wipe date, current rates and curated mods
Large-scale competitive PVP Conquest Current season multipliers, cross-platform rules and map or transfer changes
Short-term acceleration on a standard server Active EVO or weekend event Exact event start and end times; which activities receive the bonus

There is no universally “best” rate. Faster harvesting can reduce routine grinding but can also make a fresh server’s economy and PVP escalation much quicker. A wipe schedule may matter more than whether a profile is 4x or 5x.

Breeding: the settings that matter most

Maturation and hatch or gestation

Maturation controls how quickly a baby reaches adulthood. Egg hatch and gestation control how long you wait before the baby exists. They are separate checkpoints, so a breeding multiplier should not be assumed to change every checkpoint identically unless the server listing says so.

Imprinting

Imprint timing determines when care actions become available and how much attention a baby requires. A faster maturation rate without a compatible imprint schedule can make full imprinting harder, not easier, because the baby may grow between care windows. Check both values rather than judging a server by its headline breeding number.

Mating interval

The interval is the post-mating cooldown. Lower is faster: 0.5x is roughly half the baseline wait. A 1x interval on Standard Official means the pair waits the full baseline cooldown. This setting affects how many breeding attempts you can make in a given day, independently of how quickly existing babies mature.

Planning around events

An event can end before a baby matures. Treat the event’s end time as a hard planning boundary and leave enough margin for ordinary rates afterward. For a permanent breeding line, use the standard profile unless you are prepared for the special server’s wipe or season rules.

Common mistakes and fixes

  • Mistake: calling every Official server “2x.” Fix: distinguish the 1x standard profile from a dated event notice.
  • Mistake: treating 4.5x or 5x as permanent. Fix: attach the number to the specific Small Tribes or ARKpocalypse notice and its bonus window.
  • Mistake: reading a lower mating interval as slower. Fix: remember that interval is a cooldown; lower values shorten the wait.
  • Mistake: using an old Survival Evolved guide for ASA. Fix: confirm the game edition, profile and publication date.
  • Mistake: comparing rates without comparing server lifecycle. Fix: put persistent Standard Official, monthly-wipe ARKpocalypse and seasonal Conquest in separate categories.
  • Mistake: starting a long project from an unverified tracker value. Fix: check the in-game listing and current Wildcard announcement on the day you begin.

What “official” does and does not guarantee

Official status identifies the network and its publisher-controlled rules; it does not guarantee one universal multiplier, a permanent event, or identical settings across profiles. Rates can be temporary, seasonal or tied to a wipe cycle. The safest statement for October 2026 is therefore precise: Standard Official ASA is currently reported at 1x on the main fields, while special profiles and active events can be substantially faster.
