Prefer not to run the server on your own PC? Godlike.Host offers hosted ARK: Survival Evolved servers with free DDoS protection and up to three free backups a day.
To use admin commands in ARK: Survival Ascended, open the console with ~ (or ` on some keyboard layouts), authenticate on a multiplayer server with enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword>, and then run commands with the cheat or admincheat prefix. Single-player sessions do not require the password. The tables below cover player, movement, creature, item, world, and moderation commands, while flagging syntax that is inconsistent or only partially working in ASA.
Before using ASA admin commands
Admin commands can permanently alter a save, remove creatures, change player progress, or affect every connected player. Test unfamiliar commands in a copy of your save or a private server first. Run SaveWorld before changes that would be difficult to undo.

The older ARK Fandom console-command page documents ARK: Survival Evolved, not Survival Ascended. Do not assume an ASE command works unchanged in ASA.
How to enable admin mode
Single-player
- Load the world and press
~(or`). - Enter a command, usually with the
cheatprefix. For example, typecheat god. - Press Enter. A command that succeeds normally produces an immediate game-state change rather than a separate confirmation window.
Multiplayer server
- Join the server as an account with the administrator password.
- Open the console.
- Authenticate by entering
enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword>, replacing the placeholder with the exact password configured on the server. - Run commands with
cheatoradmincheat. For example,cheat fly.
If authentication fails, check capitalization, spaces, and the server’s current password setting. A password for the game panel, operating system, or hosting account is not necessarily the in-game ServerAdminPassword.

Enjoy an endless stream of new ARK content as the creativity and talent of the community is fully unleashed for the first time ever across gaming platforms!
Whitelisting administrators
ASA servers can whitelist administrators by an EOS ID, a 32-character alphanumeric identifier, so approved users do not have to enter the password on every connection. The exact management workflow depends on the server configuration; confirm the current procedure in the wiki’s administration section before editing a live server.
Player status and Creative Mode commands
These commands affect the player who runs them unless a target-specific variant is specified.

cheat god |
Prevents combat damage. | One guide reports that drowning can still hurt you; combine it with cheat infinitestats when survival underwater matters. |
cheat infinitestats |
Keeps health, food, water, oxygen, and weight full. | Toggle it again to return to normal resource behavior. |
cheat fly |
Enables flight. | Use cheat walk to return to ordinary ground movement. |
cheat walk |
Disables flight and restores walking. | If you are inside terrain, use cheat ghost to get out before walking. |
cheat ghost |
Lets the player pass through terrain and structures. | Use it carefully near foundations, caves, and map boundaries; repeat the command to toggle it off. |
cheat GCM or cheat GiveCreativeMode |
Toggles Creative Mode. | GiveCreativeModeToTarget and GiveCreativeModeToPlayer are related target variants. |
cheat addexperience <amount> 0 0 |
Adds experience to the current player. | The command’s optional parameters control sharing and tribe behavior; test the values on a private save. |
cheat giveengrams |
Unlocks all engrams for the player. | This changes progression broadly and may not be desirable on a competitive server. |
cheat ResetSkills |
Resets the player’s skills. | Reallocate points only after confirming the reset occurred. |
Descriptions of GCM differ between guides. One describes it as a combination of god mode, flight, infinite stats, and instant crafting, while another treats it simply as the Creative Mode toggle. Verify which effects your current ASA build applies rather than assuming every Creative-related benefit is enabled.
Teleportation and player movement
Coordinate teleport
cheat setplayerpos X Y Z moves your character to world coordinates. Replace X, Y, and Z with numeric coordinates; keep a safe backup because an incorrect position can place a player inside terrain or outside the playable area.
Latitude, longitude, and altitude
cheat tpcoords <latitude> <longitude> <altitude> uses map-style coordinates. The values are not interchangeable with the three axes in setplayerpos; use the coordinate system shown by the map or your server’s tools.

Finding and joining another player
- Run
cheat ListPlayersto display connected players and their identifiers. - Use
cheat teleporttoplayer <playerID>with the identifier returned by the list.
Identifier formats are a recurring source of errors. The command references disagree about whether moderation and player-targeting operations expect a SteamID or an EOS ID. If the command returns no target, copy the identifier exactly as displayed by your server and check the ASA-specific entry in the community wiki.
Creature spawning, taming, and cleanup
Spawn a wild creature
cheat Summon <blueprint> creates a wild creature at the point you are aiming. Blueprint names must be exact. For example, a Rex blueprint is commonly written as Rex_Character_BP_C; verify the current blueprint spelling before using a different species.
Spawn a tamed creature at a chosen level
cheat GMSummon "<blueprint>" <level> spawns a tamed creature at the specified level. Example: cheat GMSummon "Rex_Character_BP_C" 150. Keep quotation marks around blueprint strings that contain characters the console might parse as separators.
Tame the creature you are looking at
cheat ForceTameinstantly tames the creature in your crosshair.cheat DoTametames an eligible conscious creature directly in front of you.
These commands do not replace ordinary taming requirements in every situation. Aim at one creature, confirm that it is the intended target, and keep other creatures out of the crosshair.
Remove wild or tamed creatures
| Command | Scope and recovery |
|---|---|
cheat DestroyWildDinos |
Removes all wild creatures on the map. New wild creatures respawn over time, so this is a population reset, not a permanent wipe. |
cheat DestroyAllEnemies |
Removes non-player creatures. The world continues spawning replacements. |
cheat DestroyAllTames |
Removes all tamed creatures. Treat this as an irreversible destructive command unless you have a restorable backup. |
cheat CryoMyTarget |
Places the creature you are looking at into a new cryopod. |
cheat PlayersOnly |
Stops creature movement and crafting. Run it again to resume those systems. |
Items, blueprints, and engrams
GFI item grants
cheat GFI accepts an item short name, quantity, quality value, and a blueprint flag. Guides disagree on the exact argument order, so do not paste a GFI line from an ASE list without checking the ASA syntax. A safe approach is to test one item and one quantity in a private world, then verify the inventory result before issuing a large grant.

- Design your survivor, shape the trunk and tame, train, multiply and ride dinosaurs in a vivid ecosystem
- Public online mode for up to 70 players, private multiplayer mode for up to 8 players + local split screen for 2 players
Numeric item grants
cheat GiveItemNum grants an item by numeric item ID rather than a short name. Numeric IDs and their parameter order are also version-sensitive; use the command entry for your ASA build instead of assuming an ID from an older ASE table.
For a broad unlock, cheat giveengrams unlocks all engrams for the executing player. It is separate from giving a physical item: an engram unlock changes what can be crafted, while a GFI or numeric grant places an object in the inventory.
Saving and server-wide administration
Force a save before risky work
cheat SaveWorld forces an immediate world save. Use it before mass creature removal, large inventory changes, or maintenance. If a command has an unexpected result, stop issuing further commands and restore the last known-good backup rather than trying to reverse several changes at once.
Manual backup caveat
One guide reports an ASA-only SaveBackup command that creates an additional manual backup. This behavior is documented by a single secondary source, so test it on a disposable server and confirm that a backup file is actually created before relying on it for production recovery.

Message every connected player
cheat Broadcast <message> sends a server-wide announcement. Put the message after the command and keep operational notices specific, such as a restart time or a warning that a population reset is about to run.
Rank #4
Open the administrator panel
cheat ShowMyAdminManager opens the in-game administration panel when supported by the current build. If no panel appears, use direct console commands and check the ASA command status in the community wiki.
Moderation commands and player identifiers
| Command | Purpose | Identifier warning |
|---|---|---|
cheat KickPlayer <ID> |
Disconnects a player. | Sources differ on whether the argument is a SteamID or another platform identifier. |
cheat BanPlayer <ID> |
Bans a player. | Copy the exact ID format your server exposes and verify the target before executing. |
cheat UnbanPlayer <ID> |
Reverses a ban. | Use the same identifier system used when the ban was created. |
Do not guess an identifier from a display name. Names can change or be duplicated, while the platform ID is intended to identify the account. The community wiki discusses EOS IDs for administration, whereas some secondary guides describe SteamID arguments; that conflict has not been resolved universally for ASA. Record the ID shown by your own server and test moderation on a private account before using it in production.
Map-specific and partially working commands
FindMutagenDrops is map-limited: the command is documented as working only on Genesis: Part 2. A command that returns nothing on another map may be correctly restricted rather than broken.
ASA support is not binary for every command. The community wiki marks some entries as partially working, and third-party guides can lag behind patches by many months. A command that worked in ASE or an earlier ASA build may accept different arguments, affect only part of its intended scope, or fail silently.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.A safe command workflow
- Identify the environment: single-player, dedicated server, or hosted multiplayer; then determine whether the command is listed for ASA rather than ASE.
- Save first: run
cheat SaveWorldand confirm the save has completed. - Authenticate: on multiplayer, run
enablecheats <ServerAdminPassword>once for the session. - Use the prefix: enter
cheatoradmincheatbefore the command when the server requires it. - Start with one target: test one creature, one item, or one player before a map-wide command.
- Observe the result: check inventory, location, creature ownership, or player connection status immediately.
- Toggle temporary powers off: use
walk, ghost, god, orinfinitestatsagain as appropriate when testing is complete. - Keep an audit note: record the command, time, target, and result so another administrator can diagnose an unexpected change.
Troubleshooting failed commands
The console does not open
Try both ~ and `, check the keyboard layout, and confirm that the console is enabled in the game’s controls or settings. Laptop keyboards may require the key’s function-layer combination.
“You do not have permission” or no effect
On multiplayer, authenticate again with the exact ServerAdminPassword and add the command prefix. If a whitelist is configured, confirm that the account’s EOS ID is the one approved by the server.
The command runs but the result is wrong
Check capitalization, quotation marks, blueprint spelling, and argument order. GFI, teleport, and moderation syntax are especially prone to differences between guides. Re-test with a minimal value and consult the ASA-specific entry at ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Console_commands.
A creature or item cannot be found
Confirm that the blueprint or item identifier belongs to ASA and that the map supports the feature. For map-restricted commands such as FindMutagenDrops, move to the supported map rather than repeatedly changing the syntax.
Quick reference: common recipes
- Become invulnerable for a build:
cheat god, thencheat infinitestatsif hunger, oxygen, or drowning is a concern. - Fly to inspect a base:
cheat fly; finish withcheat walk. - Escape a cave wall:
cheat ghost, move to open space, then runcheat ghostagain. - Spawn a level-150 tamed Rex:
cheat GMSummon "Rex_Character_BP_C" 150. - Reset wild spawns: save first, then run
cheat DestroyWildDinosand allow time for respawns. - Find a player ID:
cheat ListPlayers, then use the displayed ID with a target command. - Announce maintenance:
cheat Broadcast <message>.
What to trust when guides disagree
Give priority to entries that explicitly identify ASA and show the command’s current game-status marker. The ARK Official Community Wiki is user-edited rather than an official Studio Wildcard command list, but it is more useful for distinguishing ASA from ASE and for flagging partial support. Hosting guides can provide practical examples, yet they may be outdated or use different assumptions about identifiers and argument order. Because no official, complete Studio Wildcard command catalog was identified, treat every destructive or server-wide command as something to verify in your own build.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does god mode make me immune to drowning in ASA?
Not reliably. One command guide states that god blocks combat damage but may not prevent drowning; use infinitestats as well when testing underwater.
Why did DestroyWildDinos not permanently clear my map?
The command removes the current wild population only. New creatures spawn again over time, so it is intended as a reset rather than a permanent population lock.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsShould I use SteamID or EOS ID for moderation?
The available ASA references disagree. The wiki discusses EOS IDs for administration, while some guides describe SteamID arguments. Copy the identifier shown by your server and test KickPlayer or BanPlayer privately before relying on it.
Is every ARK: Survival Evolved command valid in Survival Ascended?
No. ASA has different support for some commands, and the older Fandom list is for ASE. Check the ASA-specific status in the community wiki and test uncertain syntax on a private save.
