Arjun became the second Year 4 fighter in Street Fighter 6 on October 13, 2026. Capcom presents him as a power-focused character from India whose “Bare-knuckle Yoga” style uses exceptional breathing capacity to amplify explosive attacks and pressure blocking opponents with recoverable damage.
When did Arjun release in Street Fighter 6?
Arjun’s release date is October 13, 2026, according to Capcom’s release-day announcement. He follows Yasmine as the second of four Year 4 characters. The announced Year 4 sequence is Yasmine, Arjun, Tifa and Bosch, with characters unlocking sequentially rather than all becoming playable at once.

The release announcement gives a short description of Arjun’s gameplay, not a complete move guide. It does not establish his full move list, frame data, matchup strengths, balance position or competitive tier. Those questions require Capcom’s separate character guide and later player testing.

What is Arjun’s fighting style?
Bare-knuckle Yoga
Capcom calls Arjun’s style “Bare-knuckle Yoga.” The publisher says his exceptional lung capacity and yoga breathing allow him to release explosive physical power. His attacks are designed to pressure guarding opponents while inflicting recoverable damage, according to the launch description.

That wording explains the intended identity of the character, but it is not evidence of tournament performance or a recommendation about his strength. Players should treat practical questions such as pressure reliability, damage output and competitive viability as unsettled until they are supported by frame data and hands-on play.
Who is Arjun in the Street Fighter story?
Arjun is from India and formerly worked as a police officer. After being accused of killing a colleague, he goes into hiding while trying to identify the person who actually committed the murder. His search for the real culprit supplies the central motivation for his appearance in Street Fighter 6.
The backstory comes from Capcom’s official character material. It establishes the accusation and investigation premise; it does not, by itself, explain every story event or how Arjun’s investigation intersects with other fighters.
How do you unlock Arjun?
Year 4 Character Pass
The direct DLC route is the Year 4 Character Pass. It includes Arjun and the other three Year 4 fighters, Outfit 1 colors 3–10 for each character, and 3,000 Drive Tickets. The base game is sold separately and is required before the pass content can be used.

Capcom’s general pass overview says Year 4 characters unlock sequentially, beginning August 3, 2026. Buying the pass therefore grants access to the planned character lineup as each fighter reaches their release date; it does not turn the pass into a copy of the base game.
Buying Arjun separately
Players who do not want the full pass can check the game’s in-game or platform storefront for Arjun’s individual DLC availability. Store names, pricing and availability can differ by region and platform, so the listing shown on your account is the authoritative one before purchase.
How do you unlock Arjun’s Outfit 2?
Capcom says Arjun’s Outfit 2 was available to purchase at launch on October 13, 2026. The announcement also describes an in-game route through Avatar Arcade: obtain Arjun as a mentor, then max the mentor acquisition gauge to unlock the outfit through that mode.

Which platforms support the release?
Capcom’s Japanese release announcement lists Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Steam for Street Fighter 6. It also lists a packaged “Years 1-2 Fighters Edition.” Those details are market-specific: they do not prove that a physical edition exists on every listed platform or that every regional storefront offers the same bundle.
If you are starting from a physical copy, make sure it matches your console and account region, then purchase the compatible Year 4 DLC. The pass cannot be used without the separately sold base game.
What should players know before buying?
- Check ownership: the Character Pass and Ultimate Pass add downloadable content; neither includes the base game.
- Check the platform: a Steam price cannot be treated as the price for PlayStation, Xbox or Switch 2.
- Check the region: Capcom’s $29.99 figure was observed on the North American Steam listing and may not match your currency or store.
- Check the edition: Ultimate Pass cosmetics go beyond the Character Pass, while the exact additional Drive Ticket amount is not stated in the available overview.
- Check the unlock status: Arjun’s release date is October 13, 2026, but the remaining Year 4 fighters arrive on their own sequential schedule.
What is confirmed—and what is not?
Confirmed information includes Arjun’s October 13, 2026 release, his position as the second Year 4 fighter, the Bare-knuckle Yoga concept, his Indian former-police-officer backstory, the Character Pass lineup and the Outfit 2 purchase and Avatar Arcade unlock route. Capcom’s announcement does not confirm frame data, tournament results, tier placement, balance advantages or a complete list of special moves. Those claims should not be inferred from the launch description alone.
