The claim that two new PS5 horror games have near-perfect user-review scores cannot be verified from the available reporting: the games have not been identified, and no scores or rating counts can be attributed to them. Nearby coverage discusses other games, but it does not establish which pair the headline means.
Which two games does the headline mean?
That remains unresolved. An exact-title search and a broader search for PS5 horror games with high user scores did not locate the originating report or identify its two games. Without the names, there is no sound basis for checking their release dates, horror subgenres, PlayStation Store ratings, rating counts, or physical-edition availability.

Two nearby stories do not fill that gap. ComicBook.com’s April 24, 2026 coverage discussed Mouse: P.I. For Hire, Hades II, and Vampire Crawlers; it described Vampire Crawlers as a gothic-horror casual survival game, but did not present those three as the headline’s pair. A separate ComicBook.com article dated February 15, 2026 named Romeo Is a Dead Man and Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma in a PlayStation Store rating comparison with God of War: Sons of Sparta. It did not identify them as the two horror games either.

No score verified for the headline’s unidentified games supports that description. The figures available for other horror-related PS5 titles are not substitutes: Metacritic’s Until Dawn page showed a 6.9/10 user score from 650 ratings, classified as Mixed or Average. A consulted overview of Code Violet reported a PlayStation Store score of 2.93/5 from 1,530 reviews. Those are different games, measured on different services, and neither corroborates the headline.

Includes Bonus Game – The Shore: Andrew ventures into the unknown to find his lost daughter, exploring a forbidden island of nightmarish entities and solving puzzles that test his sanity.
- Languages: English in-game voice. English, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Ukrainian in-game text.
Likewise, ComicBook.com reported high PlayStation Store ratings for its separate April 2026 list: 4.9/5 stars and more than 3,700 user reviews for Mouse: P.I. For Hire; 4.93/5 and more than 4,000 reviews for Hades II; and 4.94/5 and more than 1,000 reviews for Vampire Crawlers. These figures belong to those games and should not be assigned to the unidentified pair.

- Game identity: Confirm the exact titles rather than inferring them from nearby coverage or a genre label.
- Platform and service: A PlayStation Store rating and a Metacritic user score are different measures; compare like with like.
- Rating count and date: Record how many users rated each game and when the score was checked. Both the score and its sample can change.
- Release and availability: Verify release date, horror subgenre, gameplay format, and whether a physical edition exists from game-specific listings.
User ratings reflect audience feedback, not critic scores. A high score can be useful context, but its rating count and platform matter when judging how representative it may be.
