March 4, 2027 is not confirmed by the official Nintendo and Neos pages available for these games. Nintendo lists Shin chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation – The Endless Seven-Day Journey as a Nintendo Switch game released in 2022, while Neos says Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town came to Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2024. Nintendo’s New Zealand eShop does list both games together in a Switch bundle, but that is not evidence of a Switch 2 release on the claimed date.
Are the Shin chan games coming to Switch 2 on March 4, 2027?
The official listings cited here do not confirm either game for Nintendo Switch 2 on March 4, 2027. They establish earlier Nintendo Switch editions and an existing two-game eShop bundle. Until Nintendo or Neos announces a Switch 2 edition and release date, treat March 4, 2027 as unverified.
Nintendo’s product page for Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation identifies it as a digital Nintendo Switch release published by Neos, with an August 11, 2022 release date. Neos’s page for the game provides its official information and trailers. Neos says Shiro and the Coal Town released on Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2024, but that announcement does not establish a Switch 2 edition.

What games are in the existing Shin chan bundle?
Nintendo’s New Zealand eShop lists a digital bundle containing Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation and Shiro and the Coal Town. Nintendo says the games are also sold individually, and the regional bundle listing specifies 4.1 GB of required space. That listing is for the existing Switch bundle; it does not establish a Switch 2 bundle or the availability of the same offer in other countries.

What are the games, and which platforms are listed?
Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation
Nintendo describes a single-player adventure set in Asso, Kumamoto, where Shinnosuke’s family is staying. Shinnosuke receives a mysterious camera and encounters Professor Akuno. Nintendo lists German, Spanish, Portuguese, and American English as supported languages on its US product page. Neos identifies Kazu Ayabe, director of the My Summer Vacation game series, in its official game information.
Shiro and the Coal Town
Neos’s news page places the game’s release on Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2024. Neos reported that the Shin chan game series had surpassed 900,000 copies sold in 2025. That is a series-wide figure, not sales for Shiro and the Coal Town or either individual game.

Does the existing bundle listing mean a storage card is required?
No. The 4.1 GB figure is the space listed for the New Zealand eShop bundle, not proof that every player needs an expansion card. Actual free-space requirements can vary. Nintendo says Switch 2 supports microSD Express cards for expandable storage; a compatible card is relevant if the console does not have enough available space. Nintendo also advises that users can remove software or add compatible storage when they need more room.
