No official five-feature list exists yet. As of October 16, 2026, Rockstar and Take-Two have confirmed several activities for Grand Theft Auto VI, but neither has identified five Grand Theft Auto IV mechanics that are returning. Claims about dating, the phone, internet, bowling, taxis or restaurants remain unconfirmed unless Rockstar names them directly.
The “five features” claim is not officially supported
Readers asking which five GTA 4 features are coming back in GTA 6 are currently being given a more definite answer than the official material allows. No located Rockstar or Take-Two announcement publishes a five-item list of returning GTA IV features.

That distinction matters because a trailer, screenshot or interview can show a new activity without proving that an older game’s complete system has returned. Seeing a character play pool, use a phone-like interface or visit a venue would not, by itself, confirm the same mechanics, progression, online functions or availability from GTA IV.

Take-Two’s 2026 announcement and Rockstar’s official store list Grand Theft Auto VI for November 19, 2026. The announced launch platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two lists a $79.99 price; that figure is tied to the announcement and does not establish the price of every edition, region or retailer offering.

Current reporting on a September 2026 Game Informer interview identifies the following activities in GTA VI. These are confirmed activities in the new game, not proof that they are returning GTA IV systems.

Rockstar has not officially named the following as returning GTA IV features:

- Restaurants and comparable social venues
Some of these may appear plausible to fans because they fit the open-world format or because trailers show characters interacting with phones, vehicles and locations. Plausibility is not confirmation. A feature should be called an official return only when Rockstar or Take-Two explicitly identifies it as such.

How to evaluate any future “returning features” list
- Check the source. Give priority to a Rockstar announcement, official trailer description, Take-Two filing or direct interview transcript. A fan list or unsourced repost is not confirmation.
- Separate the feature from the appearance. A visible prop, venue or minigame may not reveal its rules, rewards, accessibility or permanence in the final game.
- Identify the feature’s role. Record whether it is a story system, side activity or general world interaction. Calling all three “mechanics” can make unlike features seem equivalent.
- Check launch status. Distinguish content confirmed for the November 19, 2026 release from content discussed as planned, shown in development material or potentially reserved for later updates.
This framework also prevents a common error: treating eight newly reported GTA VI activities as a list of eight GTA IV features. The evidence supports the first description, not the second.

Is dating returning in GTA 6?
There is no official confirmation that GTA IV’s dating or relationship system is returning. Do not present it as part of a confirmed five-feature list.

Will GTA 6 have GTA 4’s phone and internet?
Rockstar has not officially confirmed the return of the GTA IV phone and internet systems. Any interface shown in promotional material is evidence of an interface, not proof that the older systems and their functions are reproduced.

Pool is among the activities reported for GTA VI, but that confirms an activity in the new game rather than a direct return of GTA IV’s implementation.

The directly relevant physical product is the PlayStation 5 version of Grand Theft Auto VI.
