Short answer: Stencil Parts are an Epic scavenged material used to apply weapon stencils in ARC Raiders. They appear as random loot in Commercial, Residential, and Industrial areas. No reliable source publishes a spawn percentage, a per-container chance, or a guaranteed location, so the most defensible farming method is to search routes with many qualifying loot opportunities—especially residential-dense sections of Buried City or Blue Gate—while treating that recommendation as a heuristic rather than a proven best route.
As of October 13, 2026, community references agree on the item’s purpose and loot categories, but not on a statistically measured “one route is best” result. The figures and procedures below show what you can do in the live game without pretending that undocumented drop rates are known.
Stencil Parts at a glance
| Question | What is established | What is not established |
|---|---|---|
| What are they? | An Epic basic material used to apply a weapon stencil to a compatible weapon. | They are not the stencil design itself. |
| Where do they come from? | Scavenging loot in Commercial, Residential, and Industrial categories. | No guaranteed building, container, or point of interest (POI) is documented. |
| How often do they spawn? | Current guides describe the loot as random. | No published percentage, average per raid, or “one in X containers” rate. |
| What is the practical route? | Prioritize routes with many qualifying loot opportunities; Buried City and Blue Gate are suggested because of residential density. | No controlled comparison proves either map has the highest yield. |
| How many are needed? | Reported application costs range from 2 to 15, depending on stencil rarity. | Values can change with a patch; check the in-game confirmation prompt. |
The table separates item facts from assumptions that are often repeated as if they were measured. That distinction matters when a patch changes loot tables or when a guide’s suggested route is mistaken for a guaranteed farm.

The ARC Raiders Wiki describes Stencil Parts as an Epic material “Used to apply stencils to weapons.” In practical terms, the part is a consumable payment for a cosmetic application. You first obtain or learn a stencil design, then spend the required number of parts when applying that design to a compatible weapon.
#1 Best Overall
- ARC Raiders Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the following content: The Wanderer Set, including the following cosmetic items: “Valente” Outfit" “Pathfinder” Backpack,“Blanket Roll” Backpack Attachment.
- Plus: Character Cosmetic, Finger Gun Rapid Fire Emote, Cowboy Scrappy Body Type and Skin, 2 400 Raider Tokens.
A part does not unlock every weapon at once. Each application is tied to one weapon. If you want the same design on another compatible weapon, you make another application and pay the cost again. This is why a player collecting several weapons should treat parts as an application budget rather than as a one-time unlock currency.
Stencil Parts versus stencils
- Stencil: the cosmetic design you learn and select.
- Stencil Parts: the Epic material consumed to apply that design to one weapon.
- Weapon compatibility: the target weapon must support the selected stencil; owning parts does not override compatibility rules.
The community item entry lists scavenging as the acquisition method and does not list a crafting or recycling route. Do not plan on manufacturing parts from unrelated materials or recovering them by dismantling a weapon unless a later game update adds such a system.
Are there published Stencil Parts spawn rates?
No. The currently available references do not provide a spawn percentage, a container-by-container probability, an average number per raid, or a guaranteed spawn. The ARC Raiders Wiki lists loot categories, while AllThingsHow and Dot Esports characterize the item as random loot in those categories. Arc Raiders Hub says better farming spots will be added once they are established, which is another indication that a verified yield comparison is not available.

Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteConsequently, claims such as “Stencil Parts spawn every five containers,” “this room always has one,” or “Buried City has a 20 percent rate” are unsupported by the sources available as of October 13, 2026. A run that produces several parts is evidence of that run’s result, not a published probability.
How to read a random-loot result
- A successful pickup confirms that the item can appear in the category you searched; it does not prove a fixed rate.
- A dry raid does not prove that the map is empty or that the item was removed; random tables can produce no parts in a particular run.
- Community screenshots and anecdotal route reports can suggest where to look, but they cannot establish an average without a documented sample and consistent conditions.
Use the absence of a rate as a planning constraint: optimize the number of relevant loot opportunities you can search and extract from safely, not an imaginary percentage.
Rank #2
Where to look: the three loot categories
The item reference names three categories: Commercial, Residential, and Industrial. These labels are more reliable than trying to memorize one building or a single container. They give you a way to design a route on whichever map and rotation you are playing.
Commercial areas
Commercial sections are valid search territory under the item listing. Include shops, business interiors, and other locations the game labels as commercial when you are already passing through them. The evidence does not establish that commercial loot is better or worse than residential or industrial loot; its value is that it expands the number of eligible searches.
Residential areas
Residential loot is the focus of the most specific route advice. AllThingsHow and Dot Esports point to residential-dense portions of Buried City and Blue Gate. Density can make a route practical because you can check more qualifying opportunities without crossing the entire map, but neither source reports controlled runs, sample size, or comparative yields.
Industrial areas
Industrial locations are also listed as valid categories. A route that begins in an industrial section can be sensible when the extraction path is safer or when those buildings are directly along your objective. There is no evidence that industrial loot has a lower or higher Stencil Parts chance.
Category coverage is more useful than a single “hot spot”
If your chosen route includes all three categories, you gain more opportunities to search without depending on an unverified claim about one room. On a residential-heavy map, use commercial and industrial buildings encountered on the way out rather than abandoning them solely because a guide emphasized residential density.

The most practical farming approach
The best-supported approach is a low-assumption loop: enter a map, prioritize dense groups of Residential, Commercial, and Industrial loot, search efficiently, and extract when the risk of losing the haul outweighs the value of continuing. This is a practical optimization, not a measured “best farm.”

Route choices
| Route choice | Why it can help | What the evidence does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Residential-heavy Buried City route | Specifically suggested by current guides; many residential opportunities can shorten travel between searches. | It has not been shown to produce a higher average than other maps. |
| Residential-heavy Blue Gate route | Also suggested by current guides for the same density-based reason. | No controlled yield comparison or guaranteed spawn is documented. |
| Mixed-category sweep | Uses the full Commercial, Residential, and Industrial list and avoids overcommitting to one category. | There is no published category weighting to show that this is statistically superior. |
| Reward Pass collection | Can provide a known bundle when the listed reward is available, without relying on a random container. | It requires the relevant pass progression and rewards can change. |
Choose between the first three based on travel distance, extraction safety, squad objectives, and how much inventory space you can protect. Those are decision variables you can observe every raid; a hidden drop-rate multiplier is not.
A repeatable raid loop
- Pick a dense starting zone. On Buried City or Blue Gate, begin in a residential-heavy section if it does not place you in an obviously dangerous route. Otherwise choose the nearest cluster that includes any of the three listed categories.
- Search by cluster, not by isolated buildings. Clear nearby qualifying loot opportunities before making a long crossing. The goal is more searches per minute, not a particular named room.
- Keep the item when it appears. Stencil Parts are the target material; do not discard them for low-value filler unless your inventory is full and you have a deliberate extraction reason.
- Expand to the next category on your exit path. If a Commercial or Industrial cluster lies between you and extraction, search it. This uses the item’s full category list without adding a separate detour.
- Extract after a meaningful haul. Because no rate is guaranteed, losing a successful pickup to an unnecessary extra fight is a real cost. Set a personal stop rule, such as leaving once you have enough parts for the stencil you intend to apply.
This loop deliberately avoids claiming that any one building always contains parts. It is robust to small map changes because it is based on category labels and travel efficiency.
Step-by-step checklist for a farming run
- Decide your target before deploying. Check the stencil rarity you want to apply and note the required parts in the table below. This prevents you from staying in a dangerous area for an undefined amount of loot.
- Select a map and opening cluster. Favor residential density in Buried City or Blue Gate when the route is safe, or use the nearest mixed-category cluster if another objective controls your deployment.
- Verify the location category. Use the game’s environmental labels and map knowledge to identify Commercial, Residential, or Industrial loot. Do not assume an unlabeled container belongs to a qualifying category solely because it is nearby.
- Search systematically. Move through each building or loot point once, then continue. A consistent sweep makes your own results easier to compare later, even though it cannot create an official spawn rate.
- Protect the haul. Avoid unnecessary detours after finding parts. Inventory management, squad coordination, and extraction timing matter more than chasing an unverified hot spot.
- Record only useful observations. If you track runs, note map, category clusters searched, parts found, and whether you extracted. Label the record as personal experience, not a universal probability.
- Recheck costs before applying. The confirmation screen is the current authority if a patch has changed the material requirement.
Application costs by stencil rarity
AllThingsHow’s October 2026 guide reports the following cost per application. These are not a one-time account-wide unlock fee; each compatible weapon you decorate requires its own payment.
| Stencil rarity | Reported parts per application | Example use |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 2 | One application consumes two parts. |
| Uncommon | 2 | Same reported cost as Common. |
| Rare | 4 | Four parts for one weapon application. |
| Epic | 7 | Seven parts for one weapon application. |
| Legendary | 15 | Fifteen parts for one weapon application. |
Simple budgeting follows from those values: seven parts covers one reported Epic application, while fifteen covers one reported Legendary application. Applying the same design to two weapons doubles the required material because the charge is per weapon. These examples are arithmetic from the reported costs, not a promise that the live game will retain them after a balance update.

Confirming the charge in game
- Open the weapon customization interface.
- Select the compatible weapon you want to decorate.
- Choose the learned stencil design.
- Review the rarity and the displayed Stencil Parts cost.
- Apply only after the confirmation prompt shows the amount you expect.
If the prompt differs from the table, follow the live prompt and treat the older figure as outdated. A patch can change a material cost without changing the item’s name or rarity.

AllThingsHow reports bundles of 3 Stencil Parts at Reward Pass levels 11 and 47. Reward contents and level placement are time-sensitive; verify the live pass before planning a route around them. This is an alternative acquisition path, not evidence that ordinary loot has a known rate.
The same guide lists five designs on the Frozen Trail Premium Reward Pass and associates Dragon’s Breath with the Collector Set DLC. Those are sources of stencil designs or paid content, not additional proof of where material drops. Keep the distinction clear: a paid pass may grant a design or a bundle, while scavenged Stencil Parts pay for applying a design to a weapon.
Common mistakes and how to correct them
Expecting a guaranteed building
No current source establishes a guaranteed spawn. If a familiar room is empty, continue the category-based sweep instead of repeating the same room as if it were fixed.

Confusing parts with designs
Learning a stencil does not mean every weapon is decorated automatically. You still need the material cost for each application, and a second weapon requires a second payment.

Assuming residential is the only valid category
Residential density is a route suggestion, not an exclusive rule. Commercial and Industrial loot are also listed categories and should be searched when they fit your route.
Treating a guide’s “best spot” language as a benchmark
Current guides do not publish sample sizes, controlled runs, or comparative yields. Use Buried City and Blue Gate as sensible starting points, then choose based on safety and search density rather than an invented percentage.
Spending parts before checking the target weapon
Because the cost is per application, verify weapon compatibility and the exact design before confirming. An accidental application can consume material you intended to reserve for a rarer stencil.
Patch sensitivity and source confidence
ARC Raiders is live-service software, so loot categories, costs, and Reward Pass contents can change. The ARC Raiders Wiki item page was last modified October 8, 2026; Arc Raiders Hub’s guide was updated October 8 and marked as still being updated; AllThingsHow’s guide was updated October 13; and Dot Esports published its corroborating guide October 9. None supplies an official Embark drop-rate table.
For a current decision, use this order of confidence:
- In-game prompt and current pass screen: use these for the amount charged and the reward currently offered.
- Consistent item-category listings: Commercial, Residential, and Industrial are the categories repeated across community references.
- Route suggestions: Buried City and Blue Gate are practical residential-density recommendations, not measured optimizations.
- Personal logs: useful for your own risk and travel choices, but not a universal spawn statistic.
Recheck the interface after a major patch, seasonal reset, or Reward Pass change. If a future official table publishes rates, it should supersede the present random-loot description.
Practical decision framework
Use the following questions before each run:
- Do I need a specific amount? For a Common or Uncommon application, two parts is the reported target; Rare requires four; Epic seven; Legendary fifteen.
- Can I reach a dense category cluster safely? If yes, prioritize that cluster over a distant named location.
- Is the Reward Pass currently offering a bundle I can claim? If yes, collect it as a predictable supplement, while remembering that its contents can rotate.
- Would another search expose my current haul? If the answer is yes, extract. No unverified route is worth treating as a guarantee.
This framework produces a transparent choice without pretending that the game exposes hidden probabilities.
