Choose Pizza Tower if you want movement mastery, exploration, secrets, score attacks and a tower of replayable levels. Choose ANTONBLAST if you want hammer-driven destruction, huge bosses and a timed escape from each stage. Both are fast, cartoon-styled 2D platformers on PC and Nintendo Switch, but their priorities are different enough that the right choice depends on what you want to do moment to moment.
Quick verdict
These games share a retro presentation, high speed and momentum-focused platforming, yet they create very different kinds of pressure. Pizza Tower asks you to learn routes, search rooms and optimize scores. ANTONBLAST asks you to break through environments, survive oversized boss encounters and finish an escape sequence before the clock expires.

What each game is asking you to do
Pizza Tower: movement, discovery and score attack
Nintendo describes Pizza Tower as “a fast paced 2D platformer, with an emphasis on movement, exploration and score attack.” You control Peppino Spaghetti while working through a tower containing up to five floors and many levels. The basic invitation is not simply to reach the exit. You collect toppings, fight monsters, look for secrets and decide how aggressively to pursue a high score.

That emphasis changes how a level feels. A first run can be about understanding its layout and finding alternate rooms. Later runs can become deliberate route-planning exercises: which path keeps your movement flowing, where a hidden collectible fits into the route and how much risk is worthwhile when chasing a better result. Steam also presents the game as suitable for either high-score attempts or exploration, so you are not forced into one pace.
#1 Best Overall
- Featuring Pizza News Network (PNN), the first newscast about all things pizza.
- Over 100 customers with unique pizza orders and personalities.
- Pizza toppings including pepperoni, sausage, onions, and more.
- Equipment upgrades to help you become the master ovenist.
- Simple, fun and challenging cooking gameplay.
The presentation reinforces that structure. Steam highlights highly stylized pixel art inspired by 1990s cartoons and an energetic soundtrack. Those are not merely cosmetic details; they signal a game built around quick visual reads, exaggerated animation and repeated attempts in familiar spaces.
ANTONBLAST: demolition, bosses and the escape clock
Nintendo calls ANTONBLAST “a fast-paced explosive action platformer that’s all about destruction.” You play as Dynamite Anton or Annie, wielding the Mighty F’n Hammer to demolish bizarre worlds. The stated mission is concrete: set Brulo’s detonators, find Anton’s Spirit and escape before Happy Hour ends.
Destruction is therefore the organizing idea rather than a side activity. Steam emphasizes massive destructible environments, brutal bosses and dynamic play that can support rushing for time or exploring. You can investigate a stage, but the level ultimately points toward a deliberate escape sequence. The timer gives a successful run a different emotional shape from a score-attack platformer: discovery matters, but you must eventually commit to a fast exit.
ANTONBLAST is also more overtly boss-driven. Nintendo describes large, screen-filling encounters, while Steam stresses brutal bosses. If spectacular fights and the feeling of tearing through a stage are your main reasons to play, its design makes that preference central.
Movement feel: similar speed, different purpose
Why Pizza Tower feels like a route-planning game
Pizza Tower’s movement is the tool you use to connect discoveries and preserve momentum. Because the official pitch foregrounds movement and score attack, the natural challenge is learning how a level can be traversed efficiently. You are evaluating lines through rooms, deciding when to explore and deciding whether a detour improves the run enough to justify its cost.

- Play on the go in handheld or tabletop modes
- Includes Super Mario Mash-Up, Natural Texture Pack, Biome Settlers Skin Pack, Battle & Beasts Skin Pack, Campfire Tales Skin Pack; Compatible with Nintendo Switch only
That creates a layered learning curve. The first layer is simply reaching the end. The second is recognizing the level’s structure and secret locations. The third is executing a cleaner, faster route for a higher score. The game’s tower-and-floor organization gives those efforts a visible framework: progress is divided into themed sections rather than one uninterrupted world.
Why ANTONBLAST feels like a pressure-release loop
ANTONBLAST uses movement to build impact. The hammer lets you attack and demolish, while destructible environments make forward motion feel consequential. Instead of preserving a route primarily for a score, you are often asking which obstacles can be smashed, how quickly you can reach the next objective and whether you have enough time left for the escape.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIts flexibility matters. Steam says the game supports both rushing for time and exploring. A cautious player can inspect a strange environment before committing to the objective; an experienced player can treat the same stage as a fast demolition run. The escape timer gives both approaches a deadline, so exploration is always balanced against the need to leave.
Exploration versus destruction
| Design question | Pizza Tower | ANTONBLAST |
|---|---|---|
| What draws you through a level? | Movement chains, collectibles, secrets and the possibility of a better score. | Destructible routes, objective markers and the need to reach the escape before time expires. |
| How does replay value arise? | Learning layouts, finding missed content and optimizing a scoring route. | Improving demolition runs, handling bosses more efficiently and escaping with less hesitation. |
| What is the main kind of risk? | Taking a detour or awkward route that hurts your score or breaks momentum. | Spending too long exploring and reaching the escape phase with insufficient time. |
| What is the strongest visual promise? | 1990s-cartoon-inspired pixel art, energetic presentation and a theatrical tower setting. | Massive breakable spaces, explosive attacks and oversized boss spectacles. |
Neither game is simply “faster” in a way that settles the comparison. Pizza Tower’s speed serves discovery and optimization. ANTONBLAST’s speed serves impact and urgency. If you enjoy memorizing a route and shaving inefficiencies from it, Pizza Tower’s structure is likely to hold your attention longer. If you prefer seeing an environment react to your attacks and then sprinting out under pressure, ANTONBLAST is the more direct match.
Objectives, scoring and replay
Pizza Tower’s score-first replay
Pizza Tower explicitly supports score attack. That means replay is not an afterthought added after the story path; it is one of the game’s stated purposes. Once you know where levels go, you can focus on linking movement, collecting what you missed and choosing a route that produces a stronger result.

- Please note that although this game is Region Free or Region Unlocked and will work on all systems, this is the international version and may differ from the local version in age rating, labeling or instructions.
This structure favors players who enjoy self-imposed targets. You might replay a level to uncover a secret, then replay it again to avoid a slow section, and later return when you understand how to combine those discoveries into a cleaner run. The game does not require you to treat every attempt as a perfect speedrun, but it gives that approach a reason to exist.
ANTONBLAST’s objective-and-escape replay
ANTONBLAST gives every level a sequence of tasks: set Brulo’s detonators, find Anton’s Spirit and escape before Happy Hour ends. That sequence provides a clear beginning, middle and finale. Replay comes from making the sequence more decisive, learning where demolition is most useful and reducing the time lost before the escape.
The timer is not just a display of performance. It changes your decisions while playing. Exploration can reveal more of a bizarre world, but lingering too long conflicts with the requirement to finish the escape. Players who like a visible deadline and a run that culminates in a frantic exit will find that structure motivating; players who dislike clocks may prefer Pizza Tower’s less explicitly timed scoring loop.
Combat and bosses
Pizza Tower includes fighting monsters, but its official description does not present boss spectacle as the primary identity. Combat sits inside a broader platforming framework in which movement, exploration and score attack lead the design. The important question is whether an encounter helps or disrupts your route and how it affects the score-focused flow.
ANTONBLAST puts combat and bosses much closer to the center. The hammer is the defining tool, environments are built to be demolished and both Nintendo and Steam emphasize large or brutal bosses. Expect the game’s biggest moments to come from combining movement with direct destruction rather than from quietly threading through a level for maximum exploration value.

- Ferocious Competition - At the heart of Puyo Puyo Tetris is the fighting spirit of players competing against each other to be most clever, cunning, and quick-witted one to set up devastating attacks on opponents. It's the classic easy-to-learn puzzles mashed up into a multiplayer battle like no other!
- Adventure Mode - The game also has a single player mode with ten unique acts, eatch with ten stages. They feature different characters from the Puyo Puyo or Tetris universes and have unique challenges to learn and master game mechanics that players must overcome!
- Arcade Modes - Online play has Puzzle League, which tracks players' ratings, players can save replays to upload and share, and more.
- There's also an in-game shop players can use their points to unlock different Puyo and Tetrimino skins, background music, stages, and more.
That distinction is useful when choosing between them. A player who wants platforming first and combat as part of the route may favor Pizza Tower. A player who wants the attack itself to be the main verb—smash, trigger, survive and escape—should lean toward ANTONBLAST.
Multiplayer and solo play
The Nintendo Switch listing for Pizza Tower supports one to two players on one system. That makes it the only one of these two games with an officially listed local multiplayer option. If you are buying for a household or want a same-console activity, verify the current store listing for the exact mode and controller requirements before purchase, but the one-to-two-player support is part of Nintendo’s published specification.
Nintendo and Steam list ANTONBLAST as single-player. Its objectives—setting detonators, locating Anton’s Spirit, fighting bosses and escaping before Happy Hour ends—are designed around one player’s run. Choose it for a focused solo experience rather than an in-person co-op session.

Pizza Tower arrived on PC first and reached Switch more than a year later. ANTONBLAST’s PC and Switch launches were much closer together, with the Steam version released ten days before the Nintendo version. Pizza Tower PC requirements
Steam’s displayed minimum requirements list Windows 7 or later and 300 MB of storage for Pizza Tower. That is a very small installation by modern standards, but the requirement is a minimum specification, not a guarantee for every configuration. Confirm that your operating system and available storage meet the current listing, especially if you are using an unusual Windows setup or a handheld PC.
Best Value
- Explore each stage and then find even more secrets by making your way through the stage backwards on the flip side
- Overcome varied enemies and obstacles, like Zombie Guys, Skelesaurus, Ukiki, and Monty Mole as you seek out hidden collectables; ESRB Content: Mild Cartoon Violence; Genre: Action, Platformer
- Pass a Joy Con controller to a friend for 2 player cooperative exploration
- Clad Yoshi in collectable, protective, handicraft costumes as he makes his way through each stage
ANTONBLAST PC requirements
Steam lists Windows 10 or later, DirectX 12 and 2 GB of storage for ANTONBLAST. The larger storage requirement and newer graphics API make its minimum platform baseline more demanding than Pizza Tower’s published minimum. If DirectX 12 support is uncertain on your machine, check the graphics hardware and driver documentation before purchase rather than assuming the game will launch.
Choosing a platform
Switch is the practical choice when you value a console interface, portable play or Pizza Tower’s listed local two-player support. PC is the practical choice when your system already meets the Steam requirements and you prefer playing through a desktop library. Neither listing establishes a performance comparison between platforms, so do not infer frame-rate or resolution differences from the storage figures alone.

If “more like Wario Land” means a fast 2D platformer built around momentum, exaggerated character movement and a route through compact stages, Pizza Tower is the closer conceptual match. Its official emphasis on movement, exploration and score attack points toward the kind of repeated, route-conscious play that Wario Land fans often seek.

Choose by the kind of player you are
Pick Pizza Tower if you…
- Prefer searching levels for secrets instead of following a single obvious route.
- Enjoy learning a stage, then replaying it to improve movement and score.
- Want a tower structure with up to five floors and many levels to work through.
- Like a retro presentation inspired by 1990s cartoons and an energetic soundtrack.
- Need the option of one-to-two-player local play on Nintendo Switch.
Pick ANTONBLAST if you…
- Want destruction to be the central action rather than a supporting feature.
- Enjoy using a signature hammer to break through large, bizarre environments.
- Prefer prominent, screen-filling or brutal boss encounters.
- Like a clear objective chain followed by a timed escape.
- Are looking for a deliberately single-player experience.
Buy both if your priorities alternate
These games are complementary rather than redundant. Pizza Tower gives you a discovery-and-optimization loop; ANTONBLAST gives you a demolition-and-escape loop. Buying both makes sense when you want one game for careful route learning and another for explosive solo runs. It is less sensible if you know that either timers or score chasing consistently make platformers feel like work.
A practical decision process before purchase
- Decide whether you want exploration or destruction to be the main verb. Choose Pizza Tower for secrets, collectibles and score routes; choose ANTONBLAST for hammer attacks and breakable environments.
- Decide how you feel about time pressure. Pizza Tower’s documented emphasis is score attack and exploration. ANTONBLAST requires an escape before Happy Hour ends, so its late-level pressure is explicit.
- Check player count. Pizza Tower’s Switch listing supports one to two players on one system. ANTONBLAST is listed for one player.
- Check your platform. On PC, compare your system with the published minimums: Windows 7 or later and 300 MB for Pizza Tower; Windows 10 or later, DirectX 12 and 2 GB for ANTONBLAST.
- Check the current storefront page. Prices, regional availability, editions and technical requirements can change. The release dates and file sizes above are useful identification details, not a promise that every storefront will show the same information forever.
What is not established by the available listings
The cited Nintendo and Steam pages establish the release dates, player counts, descriptions and minimum PC requirements summarized here. They do not establish a reliable audience-size comparison, sales ranking or permanent price difference between the games. Steam review totals and prices are volatile, and a current purchase decision should use the live store pages for your region.
Likewise, storage requirements are not performance benchmarks. A 300 MB minimum for Pizza Tower does not prove that it will run identically on every computer, and ANTONBLAST’s 2 GB listing does not by itself quantify visual quality or frame rate. Treat those figures as installation and compatibility checkpoints.

For most players asking which one to buy, the deciding sentence is simple: Pizza Tower is the exploration-and-score platformer; ANTONBLAST is the destruction-and-escape platformer. Start with Pizza Tower if you want the closer Wario Land-style route-planning experience, secrets and optional local Switch multiplayer. Start with ANTONBLAST if hammer combat, destructible stages, imposing bosses and a timed finish sound more exciting than optimizing a score.
