Steam currently lists Annihilated for Windows 10/11 with 1 GB of available storage. The game is not available to install yet; the listing shows a planned release date of November 10, 2026. Steam does not currently publish minimum CPU, RAM, graphics-card, or DirectX requirements, so storage and Windows version are the only confirmed PC checks.

What the 1 GB storage requirement actually means
Steam’s wording is “1 GB available space.” That is a free-space requirement, not a measured download-size statement. It also is not confirmation that the finished installation will occupy exactly 1 GB after files, updates, saved data, or other installation activity are accounted for.

The safest interpretation is that Steam expects the target drive to have at least 1 GB available for the installation process when the game is released. Do not describe the number as “the download is 1 GB” or “the game takes exactly 1 GB installed”; neither point is established by the listing.

Check the free space on the drive where your Steam library is installed, not merely the capacity printed on the drive or the amount of space on another disk. If Steam later lets you choose among libraries, check the destination library’s drive specifically. A drive with 1 GB free may satisfy the published minimum, but the listing does not state whether additional temporary space will be needed during downloading or updating, so leaving practical headroom is sensible without assigning an unsupported amount.
Can you install Annihilated now?
No. As checked October 13, 2026, the Steam page identified the game as not yet available and displayed November 10, 2026 as the planned release date. The date is not a guarantee of availability or of unchanged requirements.
The page includes an earlier postponement notice from Flashlight Games, the publisher:
“This is Flashlight Games, publisher of Annihilated. We regret to inform you that Annihilated, previously scheduled for July 22, 2026, has been delayed to Q4 2026…”

That announcement is historical context. A later publisher announcement dated October 7, 2026 confirmed the November 10 date shown on the current listing. Since release information is volatile, use the live Steam page as the final authority when the date approaches. A changed date, a newly published requirement, or a “coming soon” status is possible even if your PC already meets Windows 10/11 and has 1 GB free.
How to check your Windows version before release
The listing names Windows 10/11, so verify the operating system on the computer you intend to use.
- Open Settings from the Windows Start menu.
- Select System, then About.
- Read the Windows specifications section. Confirm that the edition is Windows 10 or Windows 11.
- For a quick version dialog, press Windows key + R, enter
winver, and press Enter.
This check answers only the published operating-system requirement. It cannot establish whether your processor, memory, or graphics hardware will be sufficient, because Steam has not provided those specifications.
How to check whether you have enough storage
Using File Explorer
- Open File Explorer.
- Select This PC in the navigation pane.
- Find the drive that contains your Steam library. Its free-space figure appears beneath the drive bar.
- Confirm that the drive shows at least 1 GB available.
Using Windows Storage settings
- Open Settings and choose System.
- Select Storage to view used and available space by drive.
- Identify the drive used for the Steam library and note its available capacity.
These checks report current free space. They do not predict the final installed size, because Steam has not published a verified download or post-install footprint for the unreleased game.

What to do if the target drive has less than 1 GB free
Do not start by uninstalling software at random. First identify which drive Steam will use, then reclaim space on that drive.
- In Settings > System > Storage, review temporary files and large categories so you know what is consuming capacity.
- Remove temporary data only after checking the categories Windows presents; do not delete personal documents, photos, or project files simply to meet a number.
- Uninstall applications you no longer need through Windows’ installed-apps settings rather than deleting their folders manually.
- Move personal media or other large files to a trusted storage location if you have verified the copies before removing the originals.
- After cleanup, recheck the free-space figure on the actual Steam-library drive.
The published requirement does not justify buying a larger drive by itself. It is only 1 GB, and no final installation footprint has been reported. Decide on an upgrade only after the released game provides a clearer installed-size figure or your broader storage needs warrant it.
Why the missing CPU, RAM, GPU and DirectX details matter
The Steam page does not state a processor, system-memory, graphics, video-memory, or DirectX minimum. That omission prevents a complete compatibility verdict. A PC can run Windows 10 or 11 and have 1 GB free while still failing a future CPU, RAM, or graphics requirement that has not yet been published.

The game is described on Steam as a story-driven roguelite RPG, but its genre does not reveal a reliable hardware minimum. Do not use another game’s specifications, screenshots, or genre assumptions as a substitute for an official Annihilated requirement.

What to recheck when the game launches
Before purchasing or installing, open the live Steam page and compare the current requirement panel with your computer. Pay particular attention to changes in four places:
- Operating system: confirm that Windows 10/11 is still supported and note any edition or architecture qualification that may be added.
- Storage: distinguish “available space” from any separately listed download size or installed size.
- Hardware: look for newly published CPU, RAM, GPU, video-memory, and DirectX minimums, plus any recommended tier.
- Availability: verify that the page offers the game for purchase or installation rather than showing only a planned date.
If Steam adds requirements after the October 13 check, use the newer listing values. The current 1 GB and Windows 10/11 figures describe the page at that check date, not an unchangeable specification.
Installation checks once Steam lists the game as available
- Open the game’s Steam store page and read the updated system-requirements panel.
- Confirm that your Windows version and hardware match every newly stated minimum, not just the storage line.
- Start the installation and select a Steam library on a drive with sufficient free space.
- Before confirming, review the space indicator Steam displays for the selected library. Treat that current installer estimate as more specific than the pre-release listing if the two differ.
- After installation, check the game’s properties and the library drive’s remaining space. Record the actual folder size if you need to plan future updates, but do not mistake your result on one installation for an official requirement for every system.
Troubleshooting likely pre-install problems
Steam reports insufficient disk space
Recheck the selected library’s drive rather than another disk. Free space, not total capacity, is what the published requirement addresses. If the drive is below the current installer requirement, clear verified temporary or unused data, choose another suitable library, or postpone installation until you can make space safely.
Your PC is on an unsupported Windows version
The current listing names Windows 10/11. Updating Windows may change the operating system, but it does not establish that your hardware meets any future CPU, RAM, or graphics minimum. Read the complete requirement panel after the game becomes available.

The page adds hardware requirements you cannot meet
Do not assume that the original 1 GB figure overrides a later CPU, RAM, GPU, or DirectX requirement. The latest official listing controls. If no official requirement is available for a component, there is no evidence-based way to promise that a particular upgrade will make the game run.
The release date changes again
Treat the Steam page’s current availability status and date as authoritative at the time you check it. The earlier July 22, 2026 date was already postponed to Q4 2026 before the later November 10 announcement, demonstrating why a planned date should not be treated as a guaranteed installation day.
Pre-release checklist
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 is installed on the intended PC.
- The Steam-library drive has at least 1 GB free, with additional practical headroom where possible.
- You have recorded your CPU, RAM, and graphics adapter so you can compare them when Steam publishes the missing specifications.
- You understand that the current 1 GB number is available-space guidance, not a confirmed download or installed size.
- You have checked the Steam page near November 10, 2026 for a changed date, availability status, or revised requirements.
At present, the only confirmed technical checks are Windows 10/11 and 1 GB of available storage. Everything else required for a complete hardware-compatibility decision remains to be published by Steam.
