The Kmart Anko SL593C is a rechargeable stick vacuum with a removable 22.2 V battery, but the published information does not establish its real-world runtime or pickup quality. CHOICE lists test categories for the model, yet its public page does not show the scores. The model is labelled discontinued, so replacement-part availability is also uncertain.

What the SL593C specifications tell you
Kmart’s SL593C Rev 2 instruction manual identifies it as a “Rechargeable Hand – Stick Vac.” It lists a removable lithium-ion battery pack rated at 22.2 V DC and 2200 mAh, a dust canister, motorised floor head, extension tubes and a supplied charger. The specified charger is model ZD12D260050AU, with 100–240 V input and 26.0 V, 500 mA output. The manual notes that specifications or components may change without notice. CHOICE lists two speed settings, a five-hour claimed charging time, a 0.3 L measured dust collector and a weight of 2.32 kg. It also lists the supplied accessories as a powered brush head, dusting brush, crevice tool and charger. Does it clean well, and how long does the battery last?
Those are the most important questions for judging a cordless vacuum, but the accessible evidence does not answer them with measured results. CHOICE’s public page names test categories including hard-floor pickup, carpet cleaning, pet-hair removal, car cleaning, noise, ease of use and running time. The scores are available only to members, so it would be misleading to assign the SL593C a test result or rank it against other vacuums from that page.
Owner feedback is mixed and self-selected. ProductReview.com.au displays 36 reviews and a 3.2 rating at the time accessed; both the count and rating may change. Some users describe convenient handling and easy emptying, while others report weak suction or debris needing multiple passes. For a meaningful comparison with another cordless stick vacuum, look for independent pickup results on hard floors and carpet, runtime measured separately for each power setting, and verified battery and filter availability. The SL593C specifications alone cannot settle those performance questions.

Filter care is especially important. The manual says to clean filters regularly to preserve suction and reduce the risk of overheating or damage. Replace a filter that is broken or worn, and let washed filters dry completely before reinstalling them. It states: “Never use the vacuum cleaner with a wet or damp filter or without the filter fitted.”

Before maintenance, cleaning or replacing parts, remove the battery. The rotary brush can be taken out to clear hair, threads and debris. The manual also says the appliance is for household use, should be used only with its supplied charger, and must not be used to vacuum liquids, hot material, or large, hard or sharp objects.
Where to ask about a charger, filter or other spare part
The manual gives Kmart customer-service numbers for accessory failures: 1300 105 888 in Australia and 09 8870 447 in New Zealand. It directs owners to customer service about filter replacement. Confirm that a part is in stock and compatible with SL593C before ordering; the manual’s numbers and warranty terms apply to its stated market and version, so check your own purchase documents and local consumer rights.

The manual identifies the supplied charger as ZD12D260050AU. If replacing a charger, use that model number when asking customer service to confirm a compatible replacement rather than choosing a charger based only on its plug or voltage. The manual directs owners to use only the supplied charger.
Questions on the ProductReview.com.au page also ask about a crevice tool, filters, spare parts, wall bracket, brush head and charging lights. Kmart replies direct questioners to customer service; some users mention H.E. Group. Those posts show that owners have sought help, but they do not confirm current stock or official compatibility. ProductReview.com.au currently labels the model discontinued, and the sources do not establish whether replacement filters, batteries, chargers or motorised heads are presently available.

Warranty and buying considerations
The SL593C manual states a 12-month Kmart warranty. CHOICE also lists a one-year warranty and a page price of A$149, but that price is a listing, not a verified current offer or confirmation of availability. Check the warranty terms supplied with your own purchase and the current retailer information.
If you are considering a used unit or already own one, inspect the battery, filter, brush head and charger, and ask about replacement-part availability before committing to repairs. The detachable battery and named charger make model identification easier, but they do not guarantee that compatible parts remain on sale.
Verdict: the evidence is not enough for a performance recommendation
The SL593C’s documented basics are clear: a removable 22.2 V, 2200 mAh battery, two listed speed settings, a 0.3 L dust collector and a 2.32 kg listed weight. Its actual cleaning performance and runtime are not established by the public test information, while owner reports vary. With the model labelled discontinued and parts availability unconfirmed, verify service and consumables before relying on it as a long-term vacuum.
