The Anko FDP20-2022R5 is a portable air conditioner. Its manual lists a 2000 W cooling capacity, but that is a published specification—not an independently measured result. Before choosing one, check that you can exhaust hot air through a suitable window, allow the required clearance, and manage condensate from its internal tray.

The Kmart-hosted Anko user manual, revision 1, identifies model FDP20-2022R5 as a portable air conditioner. The manual says the supplied window kit is designed for most standard horizontal and vertical windows, but some installations may need adjustments. Check the window opening and the duct route before relying on the kit to fit your setup.

The exhaust duct and window plates must be installed to direct hot air outside before the appliance is switched on. The manual calls for at least 60 cm of clearance behind and beside the unit. If the appliance was transported or stored lying down, stand it on its wheels and leave it upright for four hours before turning it on.
Does it need a drain hose?
The unit collects condensate in an internal tray. A drain hose is optional and is not supplied. When the tray is full, the manual instructs you to turn the unit off, unplug it, place a vessel of at least one litre beneath the outlet, and remove the plug to drain it.

If using a hose, route it downhill and seal it to the outlet to reduce the risk of backflow or spills. The manual does not state a hose diameter or identify a compatible aftermarket hose, so confirm connector fit before buying one.

How should you maintain it?
The appliance has two mesh intake filters. Clean them weekly while the unit is in use, or more often if needed. The manual allows vacuuming or brushing, or washing in lukewarm soapy water. Let filters dry fully in the shade before reinstalling them; do not put them in a dishwasher.

What safety and warranty details matter?
The manual identifies R290 refrigerant as class 3 flammable refrigerant. It says refrigerant-related work must be handled by a fully qualified and licensed refrigeration mechanic, and that a professional must remove refrigerant before disposal. Do not attempt refrigerant service yourself.
The manual states a 12-month warranty against defects, subject to its conditions. Because it does not establish the current seller policy or applicable jurisdiction terms, check the warranty offered with the particular purchase.

Is this model a good fit?
The manual provides useful setup and specification information, but it is not evidence of real-world cooling performance. This model is worth considering only if its window-kit arrangement, exhaust route, clearance needs, and condensate handling work for your room. The available documented specifications alone do not support ranking it against other portable air conditioners.
