If you want an Anker power bank without carrying a separate lead, four current product candidates stand out: the 10,000mAh Power Bank (10K, Fusion, Built-In Cable) A1637, the 10,000mAh Nano Power Bank A1259, the Canadian-listed Power Bank (20K, 87W) A1383, and the 10,000mAh Nano Power Bank with a retractable cable, A1638.
They are not interchangeable. The cable may be USB-C or Lightning, output figures may describe one port rather than all ports together, and the A1383 listing contains a capacity conflict that must be resolved for the exact market before purchase. Use the comparison below as a model-selection guide, then verify the live regional listing and recall status.
Quick comparison of the four built-in-cable models
| Model | Built-in cable | Published capacity | Published output | Distinctive feature | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| A1637 Power Bank (10K, Fusion, Built-In Cable) | USB-C or Lightning variant | 10,000mAh | 30W two-way fast charging | Foldable AC wall plug | US listing gives 4.25 × 2.0 × 1.22 inches and 0.55lb; choose the cable variant that matches your device. |
| A1259 Nano Power Bank (30W, Built-In USB-C Cable) | Integrated USB-C | 10,000mAh | 30W maximum from one port; 24W maximum total | USB-C and USB-A ports in addition to the cable | 30W is not the combined output when more than one port is active. |
| A1383 Power Bank (20K, 87W, Built-In USB-C Cable) | Integrated USB-C | Product label says 20K; extracted specification also says 10,000mAh | Up to 87W distributed across three devices | Higher-output, multi-device design | Canadian listing; weight is 15.5oz/439g. Confirm capacity, complete specifications and availability for your country. |
| A1638 Nano Power Bank (10K, 45W, Built-In Retractable USB-C Cable) | Retractable USB-C | 10,000mAh | 45W | Cable retracts into the unit | Search results did not expose a complete specification table or establish current US availability. |
These figures come from Anker product pages or result extracts, not controlled third-party tests. Availability, regional configurations and specifications can change.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWhat “built-in cable” actually changes
A built-in lead removes one item from your travel kit and makes an emergency top-up possible without searching for a loose cable. It does not mean every model supports every connector, nor does it indicate how quickly a phone, tablet or laptop will charge. Connector type, the power bank’s port limits and the device’s own charging protocol still determine the result.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Match the connector before comparing capacity
A1637 is sold in separate USB-C and Lightning variants. A1259, A1383 and A1638 use USB-C. An iPhone or other Lightning device therefore needs the Lightning version of A1637 unless you carry a separate cable and use an available port. For a USB-C phone, tablet, handheld console or compatible laptop, the USB-C models provide the most direct match.
Read single-port and total-output numbers separately
“30W” can describe the maximum from one active port. On A1259, Anker lists 30W maximum single-port output but 24W maximum total output when multiple outputs are used. A model with a higher headline wattage is not automatically faster when two or three devices are connected. Check the per-port and shared limits for the exact configuration you plan to use.
Model details and the users each one suits
A1637: the all-in-one option for travelers who also need a wall plug
The A1637 combines a 10,000mAh battery, 30W two-way charging and a foldable AC plug. “Two-way” means the 30W rating applies to charging a connected device and to recharging the power bank, subject to the charger, cable and device involved. The integrated lead is available as either USB-C or Lightning, so the purchase decision starts with the connector rather than the capacity.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Anker’s US listing gives dimensions of 4.25 × 2.0 × 1.22 inches and a listed weight of 0.55lb. Those measurements make the unit a compact combination of power bank, cable and wall charger, but the integrated plug also adds hardware compared with a simple battery pack. Choose it when reducing the number of separate travel accessories matters more than having the lightest possible bank.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Check the product title and photographs carefully before ordering: the USB-C and Lightning versions are not the same cable configuration. If you need to charge a second device, confirm which ports remain available on the exact variant and how Anker specifies shared output.
A1259: a straightforward USB-C bank with extra ports
The A1259 is a 10,000mAh Nano model with a built-in USB-C cable, one USB-C port and one USB-A port. Its 30W maximum single-port output is suitable for devices that can accept that level of USB-C power, while the listed 24W maximum total output sets the ceiling when more than one output is used.
This layout fits a USB-C phone owner who sometimes needs to charge accessories, a second phone or an older USB-A cable from the same bank. The important trade-off is shared power: plugging in multiple devices changes the available budget, so do not use the 30W figure to predict simultaneous charging performance. If you usually charge one device at a time and want a built-in USB-C lead plus port flexibility, A1259 is the least complicated choice in this group.

A1383: potentially the highest-output, multi-device candidate, but verify the listing
Anker Canada presents A1383 as a “20K, 87W” power bank with a built-in USB-C cable. The page says it can distribute up to 87W across three devices, and lists a weight of 15.5oz (439g). That combination points to a substantially larger, heavier unit intended for several devices or higher-power USB-C equipment rather than pocket-first portability.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
There is a material data conflict: the extracted specification summary also states 10,000mAh. Treat the capacity as unresolved, not as a settled 20,000mAh specification. Before buying, open the current listing for your country and confirm the capacity printed in the specifications, the number and type of ports, the per-port limits, and whether the product is actually sold in that market. The Canadian page is not confirmation of US availability.
If the current regional documentation confirms the 20K and 87W claims, A1383 may be the logical fit for a user who values multi-device output over weight. That is a specification-based match, not an independent performance ranking.
A1638: retractable USB-C convenience
A1638 is identified as a 10,000mAh Nano power bank with 45W output and a built-in retractable USB-C cable. Retracting the lead into the body can keep it contained when the bank is in a bag and avoids a loose cable dangling from the unit.

Anker’s result says the cable was tested for 20,000 bends and 20,000 pulls. This is a manufacturer-reported durability test; it is not an independent laboratory result and does not guarantee the service life of every unit. The available search extract did not include a complete specification table or establish current US availability, so verify cable length, auxiliary ports, dimensions, weight, charging protocol support and regional stock on the live page.

A1638 is the natural candidate if a retracting cable is your priority and your device uses USB-C. If you need Lightning, this model’s built-in connector does not match that requirement.
How to choose among them
1. Start with the device connector
- Choose the Lightning version of A1637 when you want the cable itself to connect directly to a Lightning device.
- Choose a USB-C model for USB-C phones, tablets, consoles and other USB-C equipment.
- If your kit includes both connector types, favor a model with an appropriate spare port and carry the second cable rather than assuming the built-in lead can serve both.
2. Decide whether you charge one device or several
For one-device charging, the maximum single-port figure is the relevant starting point. For simultaneous charging, use the maximum total figure and the per-port allocation. A1259 explicitly lists a lower total ceiling than its single-port maximum. A1383’s “up to 87W across three devices” is a shared-distribution claim, so the actual amount each device receives depends on how the bank allocates power.
3. Set a portability target
A1637’s published size and weight are useful when a compact travel format matters. A1383’s listed 439g weight is considerably more substantial on paper, which may be acceptable if you need multi-device output. A1638’s and A1259’s complete dimensions and weights should be checked on the current listing rather than inferred from the Nano name.
4. Pick the convenience feature you will actually use
| Your priority | Most relevant candidate | Why | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| One unit that can plug into a wall | A1637 | Foldable AC plug and built-in cable | Correct USB-C or Lightning variant and regional configuration |
| USB-C cable plus USB-C and USB-A ports | A1259 | Three charging connection options are listed | Shared 24W total limit when multiple outputs are used |
| Higher-output, three-device use | A1383 | Canadian listing claims up to 87W distributed across three devices | Capacity discrepancy, regional availability and current port table |
| Retracting cable storage | A1638 | Built-in retractable USB-C lead | Complete specifications and availability in your market |
Recall and safety checks before purchase
Anker’s global voluntary recall notice lists power-bank models A1647, A1681 and A1689 among affected units. A1681 is a built-in USB-C-and-Lightning-cable design, and A1647 has a built-in USB-C cable, but neither should be selected from product-page information alone.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
- Identify the exact model number printed on the bank, box or retailer listing.
- Open Anker’s current recall notice and follow its model-and-serial-number instructions.
- Do not assume that a similar-looking model is covered or cleared; serial-number guidance is the deciding check.
- If a unit is listed as affected, stop using it and follow Anker’s instructions for the applicable remedy.
The four candidates discussed here—A1637, A1259, A1383 and A1638—do not appear in the recalled-model excerpt used for this comparison. That absence is not a blanket safety certification, so check the current notice for any model you buy.
Buying checklist for a current listing
Because product pages and regional stock change, run this checklist immediately before checkout:
- Confirm the full model number, not just “Anker Nano” or “10K.”
- Confirm the built-in connector: USB-C, Lightning or retractable USB-C.
- Read both maximum single-port and maximum total output figures.
- For A1383, resolve whether the current regional page states 20,000mAh or 10,000mAh and record the exact wording.
- Check dimensions and weight if the bank will travel in a pocket, small bag or airline kit.
- Verify whether a foldable AC plug, auxiliary USB-C port and USB-A port are included on that exact variant.
- Check the seller’s region, return terms and stock status; a Canadian listing does not establish availability elsewhere.
- Run the exact model and serial number through Anker’s current recall guidance.
Practical choices without an artificial “best” ranking
Choose A1637 when an integrated wall plug is as valuable as the battery and you can select the correct Lightning or USB-C version. Choose A1259 when you want a conventional 10,000mAh USB-C bank with an attached cable and additional USB-C and USB-A connections, while accepting its shared-output limit. Consider A1383 only after the current regional page resolves its capacity and availability; its stated multi-device output and listed weight target a different use case from a small everyday bank. Choose A1638 when a retractable USB-C lead is the deciding convenience and the live listing confirms the specifications for your market.

None of these choices is supported by an independent head-to-head test in the available evidence. The sensible comparison is therefore connector fit, published output behavior, physical size, convenience features, regional documentation and recall status—not an unsupported claim that one model charges fastest or lasts longest.
