For a strong early priority in the Anime Zero skill tree, put available upgrades into damage if enemies are taking too long to defeat. Add critical chance when your damage is adequate and you are surviving comfortably; choose defense if boss attacks or repeated losses are stopping progress. Movement speed is a situational pick when positioning or moving through rooms is the problem. Check the live node description and cost before spending: the game is in active development, and fan guides’ figures are not confirmed by the official listing.
Choose upgrades around the problem you are facing
There is no verified universal best build. Community advice is more useful as a way to diagnose your current bottleneck than as a fixed order that every player should follow.
Enemies take too long to defeat: prioritize damage
If slow kills are stretching out runs, damage is the community guide’s recommended starting point. It directly addresses clear speed; a defensive or movement upgrade may not solve the underlying issue.
You survive comfortably: consider critical chance
Once survival is not holding you back, critical chance is a reasonable next offensive direction. Treat it as a follow-up to basic damage rather than an automatic first choice: its value depends on the nodes currently available and their displayed effects.

Bosses or repeated mistakes end runs: add defense
If boss damage or repeated losses are preventing progress, the community guide recommends defense. More damage is less useful when you cannot stay in a run long enough to apply it.
You struggle to reposition or move through rooms: consider speed
Movement speed is a situational choice for players who need room to dodge, group enemies, or travel through rooms more efficiently. The community guide does not frame it as a universal first upgrade.

How to decide before spending
- Name the bottleneck: decide whether your current runs are limited by slow kills, getting defeated, or difficulty repositioning.
- Match the node to the content: consider whether the upgrade will help with the rooms or boss you are currently trying to clear.
- Read the live node details: check the in-game description, cost, and any unlock requirement before confirming a purchase. The official Roblox listing says the game is in active development and may have bugs, performance issues, or incomplete features, so current in-game information is the safest reference.
- Keep investment focused: use the tree that applies to the weapon you currently rely on, if the live interface offers weapon-specific trees, and avoid spending scarce resources without a clear target.
These recommendations are community guidance, not developer-published build rules. An independent progression guide also advises learning a usable weapon and completing a Story run before making scarce-resource commitments; it warns that costs and requirements can change.

What fan guides say about branches and caps
One fan guide describes four branches—Attack, Crit, Defense, and Speed—and weapon-specific trees. It also lists critical-chance nodes of 3%, 6%, 10%, and 15%, a 60% critical-chance cap, a 275% critical-damage cap, and a 40% cooldown-reduction cap. These are claims from that community guide, not figures confirmed in the official Roblox listing or independently verified in game. Do not plan a build around them without checking the current tree.
