If Anime Zero skill points appear missing, unusable, or ineffective, first make sure you are viewing the skill tree for the same weapon that gained levels. - Weapon-level requirement: note any level threshold in the description. Leveling a different weapon does not satisfy a requirement attached to the selected weapon.
- Current effect text: read whether the upgrade is passive, triggered, conditional, or limited to a particular attack. A cost and a purchase state alone do not explain when an effect should be observable.
Record the exact values, not an approximation. “The node looked cheap” is less useful than “the interface showed a cost of X, a balance of Y, and a lock message requiring Z.” The labels can change as the game is updated, so a screenshot or transcription dated with your session is valuable.
Step-by-step troubleshooting
1. Identify the weapon that actually gained the level
- Recall the weapon equipped when the level-up occurred, or check the weapon’s current level in the game interface.
- Open the skill-tree menu and select that exact weapon.
- Compare the displayed point or token balance with the tree you were previously viewing.
- Only after confirming the match should you decide that the points are absent.
This is the highest-value check because the community-described mechanic is weapon-linked. Switching to a different weapon can change which tree and balance you see; it does not demonstrate that points were deleted.
2. Inspect the node instead of relying on a guide screenshot
- Select the node you want to buy.
- Read the current description, including its cost, prerequisites, level requirement, and any wording about activation or conditions.
- Confirm that the node is visibly unlocked and that the selected weapon has enough points or tokens.
- Check whether an earlier node in the path must be purchased first.
Do not infer a requirement from a third-party build page if the live description says something different. The exact labels and values can change while Anime Zero is being developed.

3. Separate an unavailable purchase from an ineffective upgrade
If the purchase button is disabled or fails to respond, capture the node name, displayed cost, point balance, weapon, and weapon level. If the purchase succeeds but the effect is not obvious, record the intended trigger instead: a damage change, cooldown change, passive bonus, or an effect that activates only under a particular condition.
Test only the behavior described by the node. A passive effect may not produce a dramatic animation, and a conditional effect may require a specific attack, enemy, health state, or timing. If the description promises a direct change and the result remains unchanged under the stated condition, classify it as “purchased but no visible effect” rather than “cannot spend.”
4. Recheck the interface after a fresh session
Leave the experience and join again, then open the same weapon tree and node. This is a general troubleshooting step, not a documented Anime Zero repair. It can show whether the display was stale for one session, but it cannot restore points that the game never recorded.
Before leaving, note the value shown on screen. After rejoining, compare the weapon, tree, point balance, node state, and effect description. If one of those values changes, include both observations in your report rather than claiming that rejoining fixed the account.

5. Check for an update-related mismatch
Compare the current node text with the date and wording of any guide you used. The October 5 skill-tree guide and October 7 beginner guide are useful orientation, but they are not guaranteed to describe every later change. A renamed node, adjusted cost, or revised effect can make an older walkthrough look like a broken system.
Use the in-game menu as the final authority for what your current build requires. If the interface shows a requirement that the guide does not mention, follow the interface and preserve a screenshot of the difference.

- Weapon tree opened when the problem appeared.
- Node name, displayed cost, lock state, and description.
- Point or token balance before and after the attempted purchase.
- Whether the purchase control was missing, disabled, unresponsive, or appeared to succeed.
- What combat test you performed if the upgrade had no visible effect.
- Platform, approximate time, and whether the behavior remained after leaving and rejoining.

The official Roblox listing warns that active development can bring bugs and incomplete features, but it does not publish a skill-point workaround or identify a particular support destination in the material available here. Use a support or community route only after verifying that it is currently linked from the game or its official listing.
Submit the details you recorded, along with screenshots or a short video when possible. State what you expected, what actually happened, and whether the issue affects one weapon or several. Avoid presenting a community theory as a confirmed cause.
Why an active-development game may show inconsistent skill behavior
The official Roblox description identifies Anime Zero as an anime dungeon-crawler RPG by LY* and explicitly says, “Anime Zero is currently in active development.” It continues: “As a result, you may encounter bugs, performance issues, or incomplete features.” That status changes how you should interpret a failed purchase or missing effect: a correct weapon-tree check can rule out a common mismatch, but it cannot prove that the game data is healthy.

How to perform a useful combat test
When a node appears purchased but ineffective, avoid changing several variables at once. Use the same weapon, attack, enemy type, and approximate situation before and after the purchase where practical. If the node names a trigger, meet that trigger deliberately rather than judging the effect during unrelated combat.
Record what can actually be observed: damage numbers, cooldown timing, duration, activation icon, or the absence of any stated indicator. A passive bonus may be too small to identify from one hit, while a conditional bonus may never activate outside its specified state.
