For a flexible Anime Origins lineup, start with Bluma (often searched as Bulma) for farm income, then choose a carry to match your mode and placement needs. The detailed August 24, 2026 roster snapshot rates Madaro (Madara), Cursed Lover (Yuta), and Valcrad (Alucard) among its S-tier carry options. Bon (Ban) is a hybrid who can cover support, farming, and carrying. These are guide recommendations, not official developer rankings or measured DPS results—and the September 2026 Update 2 added units that the older detailed list does not benchmark comparably.
How to use this Anime Origins tier list
There is no single best unit for every team. Choose in this order: game mode, placement type, the job your lineup lacks, and whether you can obtain and invest in the unit. A high-ranked carry does not solve a missing farm, support, control, or coverage slot.
The recommendations below draw on two different snapshots. The detailed roster and role list was checked August 24, 2026. MrGuider’s Update 2 page was last updated September 24, 2026, and reports that Update 2 released September 19. Treat tier letters and role labels as editorial or community guidance, not official rankings.

Best Anime Origins units by role
Best farm and beginner support: Bluma
Bluma, commonly searched as Bulma, is the clearest economy pick in the detailed roster snapshot. That guide places her in S tier for farming and support and recommends her for beginners. If your team already has enough damage but struggles to fund placements or upgrades, prioritize the farm role before adding another carry.

Best flexible hybrid: Bon
Bon, commonly called Ban, is listed as a hybrid support, farm, and carry for Raids and Infinite. That role compression can free a team slot when you need multiple jobs covered. It does not establish that Bon replaces a dedicated damage carry in every mode or lineup.
Carry shortlist: Madaro, Cursed Lover, and Valcrad
- Madaro (Madara), Edo Tensei: S-tier in the August 24 list, with carry, boss, area-damage, and control roles.
- Cursed Lover (Yuta), Pure Love: S-tier, tagged for carrying, area damage, and support.
- Valcrad (Alucard), Unleashed: S-tier, tagged for carrying, boss damage, and control.
These labels make them a useful shortlist, not a proven ordering among the three. The source does not provide standardized damage tests or comparable DPS figures, so it cannot establish which one deals the most damage in a controlled comparison.

Choose units for your game mode

This mode framework comes from the August 24 roster guide; it is a role-selection aid, not a guarantee that a particular lineup clears a stage or raid.
Placement and team-role checks
The detailed list distinguishes ground, hill, hybrid, and unknown placement. It also assigns jobs such as carry, boss damage, area damage, farming, support, and control. Read those separately: a unit’s tier does not tell you where it can be placed, and a role label does not prove it covers every target or mechanic.

- Check placement: Confirm that the unit can occupy the ground or hill position your lineup needs. Where a source marks placement unknown, do not assume coverage.
- Check the missing job: Another carry may add less value than the farm income, area damage, support, or control your team lacks.
- Check overlap: Several units can share a carry or boss role while leaving a different team need uncovered.
- Check access and investment: The detailed roster includes obtain and evolution notes, so factor in the route and progression needed for a candidate rather than comparing tier labels alone.
What changed in Update 2
MrGuider reports that Update 2 released September 19, 2026 and added seven units: Gilgamos, Arturia, Inanna, Scathy, Sunji, Psychy, and Clown Guy. Its page was last updated September 24, 2026. The guide organizes recommendations into Meta Overall, Meta Ground, Meta Hill, Meta Support, and Farms; it describes these as versatile picks, ground-target picks, hill-platform picks, assistance, and resource or currency farming, respectively.
That newer page gives trait recommendations for the additions, but the reviewed material does not establish comparable, independently measured DPS or a verified side-by-side performance ranking for them. The August 24 detailed list predates Update 2, so its S-tier carry shortlist should not be treated as a complete ranking of the post-update roster. Treat the Update 2 guide’s trait suggestions as that guide’s advice, not official performance data.

How reliable are tier and DPS claims?
The rankings available here are editorial or community judgments. MrGuider describes its list as subjective. Anime Origins Wiki calls its roster community-reported and cautions that exact drop rates are not developer-published. A separate August 22 roster guide also says placements are community-reported and advises checking the current banner in-game.
No named, independently published performance statistic or standardized DPS comparison is established in the reviewed sources. A trait modifier reported by a guide is not the same as a measured damage result. Use tier lists to identify candidates, then verify current availability and in-game details before committing resources.
