There is no permanent, official list of Animal Crossing: New Horizons Treasure Island codes for October 2026. These are temporary five-digit Dodo Codes created by individual player hosts. A code works only while that host’s gate is open, so even a correctly entered code can stop working without notice.
To visit one, you need Animal Crossing: New Horizons on a Nintendo Switch-family console, an internet connection and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. Use Dodo Airlines, choose online play and enter a recently posted code as soon as possible.
What Treasure Island codes are
“Treasure Island” is a community term for an unofficial island stocked with items such as resources, furniture, clothing, tools or other collectible content. The island owner opens the airport gate and generates a Dodo Code for visitors. Nintendo supports island visits as a multiplayer feature, but it does not publish a Treasure Island directory or endorse third-party code lists.

How to find a working October 2026 code
Look for a recently dated community post or livestream that states the island is open. Public-code communities may moderate posts, and open islands can be difficult to find during busy periods. Try a code promptly and check the listing for operational details rather than relying on the code alone.

No authoritative statistic establishes how many Treasure Islands are open in October 2026, and no permanent master code exists. Treat every community-posted code as temporary and host-controlled.
How to enter a Dodo Code and visit
- Open Dodo Airlines in your island’s airport.
- Choose I wanna fly.
- Select Via online play. This is the internet option; local wireless is a separate mode.
- Choose Search via Dodo Code.
- Enter the host’s five-digit code, confirm the destination and follow the airport prompts to fly.
- When finished, return to the airport and select I want to go home to leave normally.
If the search says the island cannot be found, the code may be mistyped, the host may have closed the gate, the session may have ended or the island may already be full. Recheck the newest host update before trying repeatedly.

The host also starts at Dodo Airlines, but chooses I want visitors, then Via online play, and finally Invite via Dodo Code. The airport generates a five-digit code for that session. Closing the gate or ending the session stops new visitors, so reposting an old code does not reopen the island.

Requirements and connection modes
- Game: Animal Crossing: New Horizons installed on a Nintendo Switch-family system.
- Connection: Internet access for a remote visit.
- Membership: Nintendo Switch Online is required for internet multiplayer.
- Local wireless: Nearby consoles can use local wireless instead, but local visits are a different mode and do not use internet Dodo Codes.
Safety and etiquette on unofficial islands
Treasure Islands are community-run, unofficial spaces. A legitimate host does not need your Nintendo Account password, recovery code, payment details or remote access to provide a Dodo Code. Do not share those details, even if a post claims they are required.
- Read and follow the host’s item, queue and behavior rules.
- Do not disrupt other visitors or ignore stated limits.
- Use the airport’s I want to go home option when leaving instead of disconnecting abruptly.
- Be respectful and kind in chat and community channels.
Normal multiplayer etiquette also helps protect the host’s session: follow directions, avoid exploiting glitches and report a closed or full island through the channel specified by the host.

“Island not found” or an invalid-code message
Confirm each digit and enter the code again. If it still fails, check the post’s timestamp and gate announcement. The host may have closed the gate or ended the session.

The island is full or you cannot get in
Wait for the host’s queue instructions or look for a later update. A listing that was open can fill quickly when several players arrive at once.

You do not see the online-play option
Verify that the console is connected to the internet and that Nintendo Switch Online is active. If you intended to visit someone nearby, select local wireless rather than searching for an internet code.
You are disconnected during a visit
Reconnect through Dodo Airlines using the host’s latest post. Because codes are session-specific, the host may need to issue a new one after reopening the gate.
What to expect in October 2026
Expect a rotating stream of community sessions rather than a stable catalog. The most reliable approach is to monitor a current host announcement, verify that the gate is open, compare the listing’s rules and limits, and attempt the code immediately. Nintendo’s official multiplayer guidance explains the connection process, but it does not verify or maintain third-party Treasure Island codes.
