AMD has not confirmed that RDNA 5 graphics cards will be revealed at or before Computex 2027—or that they will wait until afterward. The timing evidence available points to differing expectations from anonymous graphics-card manufacturers, not a named leaker or an AMD announcement.
What is the reported RDNA 5 timing?
Tom’s Hardware reported on June 7, 2026, that Dutch publication Tweakers had spoken with graphics-card manufacturers at Computex 2026. One manufacturer expected AMD’s next-generation graphics cards in the second or third quarter of 2027; another thought the launch could slip to late 2027 or early 2028. These are partner expectations relayed by Tom’s Hardware, not a confirmed AMD schedule. Tom’s Hardware’s report
| Reported expectation | What it means | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Q2 or Q3 2027 | One manufacturer’s expected window for AMD’s next-generation graphics cards | Anonymous partner expectation, as summarized by Tom’s Hardware from Tweakers reporting |
| Late 2027 or early 2028 | A later possible window described by another manufacturer | Anonymous partner expectation, as summarized by Tom’s Hardware from Tweakers reporting |
The estimates leave open whether cards would be revealed before Computex 2027. They also do not pin down when products would reach stores: an announcement and retail availability can be separated by a delay, as the report notes.

Does this come from a leaker?
The available report attributes the timing range to anonymous graphics-card manufacturers interviewed at Computex 2026. It does not identify a named leaker or establish that a specific leaker made the claim in the headline. Calling the estimates a leaker’s confirmed claim would therefore overstate what the report says.

Has AMD confirmed RDNA 5 or a Computex 2027 reveal?
The official AMD materials cited here document a Radeon launch at COMPUTEX 2025, not an RDNA 5 roadmap or a 2027 appearance. AMD said it launched the Radeon RX 9060 XT and Radeon AI PRO R9700 at that event in its May 20, 2025 announcement. AMD’s COMPUTEX 2025 event page describes Jack Huynh’s presentation and the RX 9060 XT. Those sources show that AMD has used COMPUTEX for Radeon announcements, but a past launch does not establish a future event commitment.
What do the Linux-driver changes tell us?
In September 2026, Tom’s Hardware reported that AMD had added GDDR7 identification and other graphics IP blocks to its open-source Linux driver. The changes could be software preparation for future GPUs, but the report says they do not indicate an imminent launch. They also do not conclusively identify the additions as RDNA 5 or confirm an event date. Treat this as an indirect clue, not a release timetable. Tom’s Hardware’s driver report

When will AMD RDNA 5 GPUs come out?
The sources establish no confirmed release date. The partner estimates suggest a broad possibility of late 2027 through early 2028, with one expectation as early as Q2 or Q3 2027. They do not prove when AMD will reveal cards, when retail sales will begin, or whether the schedule will change.
