To add Amazon Music to a Samsung Galaxy Watch, search for the app in Google Play on the watch itself. If it is available for your exact model and region, install it, sign in, and use its on-screen options to play or download music. Availability is not established for every Galaxy Watch, so check before relying on the app.
Check whether Amazon Music is available on your Galaxy Watch
Galaxy Watches running Wear OS install watch apps through Google Play. On the watch, open the app list, launch Play Store, and search for Amazon Music. Samsung notes that screens and steps can vary by device: Samsung’s Wear OS Google services instructions.
Use the store listing on the watch as the practical compatibility check for your model. The available evidence does not establish support across every Galaxy Watch generation, software version, or regional store. An Amazon staff reply in an April 8, 2023 forum thread said the Galaxy Watch app supported offline downloads at that time, but that historical statement is not a guarantee of current availability or features: Amazon forum discussion. Amazon’s current Google Play listing for Alexa on smart watches describes access to linked services such as Amazon Music on some watches, while listing a Galaxy Watch model as unsupported; it does not establish universal Galaxy Watch support for Amazon Music: Amazon Alexa for Smart Watches listing.
If the app does not appear as installable for your watch, do not assume that installing it on your phone will add it to the watch. Install and use the watch app
- On the watch, open Play Store from the app list and search for Amazon Music.
- Install it if the store offers it for that watch. If it is not offered, the sources here do not establish a supported workaround for that model.
- Open Amazon Music and sign in to the account you intend to use, then follow the app’s playback controls and any download options shown on the watch.
Playback may depend on whether the watch is connected to the phone, has its own network connection, or has music downloaded in the watch app. Follow the app’s displayed options rather than assuming one mode is available on every watch.
Can you listen offline?
Offline listening on the watch depends on the watch app being available and offering downloads for your account. The 2023 Amazon forum reply confirms that offline downloads were supported in the Galaxy Watch application when that reply was made; it does not verify that the same option remains available on every current model or app version.

Amazon’s Android help page distinguishes offline allowances by plan: Prime members can download All-Access Playlists, while Amazon Music Unlimited and Amazon Music Standard allow downloads of songs, albums, and playlists. Amazon says subscription downloads and All-Access Playlist songs remain accessible only inside the Amazon Music app and cannot be exported to another app or external storage. Plan names and terms can change, so check the current help page and your account: Amazon Music offline playback help.
That restriction matters if you are considering Samsung’s Music app as an alternative: Amazon Music subscription downloads are protected app content, not ordinary audio files that can be copied to the watch.

Transfer ordinary music files as an alternative
If you have compatible, unencrypted audio files, Samsung documents transferring them from an Android phone through Galaxy Wearable. The listed file formats are MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG, and WMA. This route transfers files you can access as ordinary files; it does not export Amazon Music streaming downloads.
- Open Galaxy Wearable on the Android phone paired with the watch.
- Go to Watch settings > Manage content or Add content to your watch > Add tracks. The wording can differ by device.
- Select the compatible music files, then tap Done.
- On the watch, open the Music app to find and play the transferred tracks.

Connect Bluetooth headphones or earbuds
For private listening, pair Bluetooth headphones with the watch and confirm that media audio is enabled. Samsung’s US instructions are:
- On the watch, open Settings > Connections > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth on.
- Put the headphones into pairing mode.
- Select the headphones when they appear in the watch’s Bluetooth list.
- Open the headphones’ settings on the watch and make sure Media audio is enabled.
