What the 2026 Great Indian Festival means for monitor buyers

Amazon’s Great Indian Festival 2026 opened to all customers at midnight on October 8. Amazon advertises discounts of up to 80% on electronics and a 10% instant discount for eligible SBI cards. The event hub confirms that the sale is live on Amazon.in. Amazon reported over 100% year-over-year order growth during the opening period and said 72% of visits came from beyond the top nine metros (Amazon India, 2026). Those figures are Amazon’s own event statistics, not independent market research.

Amazon Staff described the event as bringing “the lowest prices of the year” across categories including electronics. Sale pricing, however, is not guaranteed to remain available: sellers, inventory, bank eligibility and delivery fees can alter the amount shown at checkout.

Best gaming monitors under ₹20,000

1. Acer ED270U S3 — best balanced QHD value

Acer India lists a special price of ₹16,499 for the ED270U S3. It combines a 27-inch curved VA panel with 2560×1440 (QHD) resolution, 180Hz refresh, 1ms VRB, HDR10 and AMD FreeSync. The monitor has 178-degree viewing angles, VESA support and an HDMI cable in the box.

This is the easiest recommendation for a mixed-use gaming setup: QHD provides visibly more desktop space and image detail than 1920×1080, while 180Hz suits fast games when your graphics card can render at high frame rates. It also leaves roughly ₹3,500 of the ₹20,000 budget for a monitor arm, better cable or other peripherals. Treat the ₹16,499 figure as Acer’s promotional snapshot, then verify the live listing.

  • HDR10 provides brighter highlights and nuanced shadow for added depth - making every scene feel more vivid and realistic
  • The 180Hz refresh rate minimizes lag for gameplay with ultra-smooth action. Plus, the 1ms response time helps capture your moves in real-time, allowing you to react fast for gaming precision

  • Ergonomic stand allows for tilt, pivot and height adjustments to maximize gaming comfort

2. MSI MAG 27CQ6PF — QHD alternative near the budget ceiling

MSI lists the MAG 27CQ6PF at ₹18,799. It is a 27-inch curved Rapid VA monitor with 2560×1440 resolution, 180Hz refresh, a quoted 0.5ms GtG response time, Adaptive-Sync and anti-flicker features.

Dell 27 240Hz Gaming Monitor - SE2726HG - 27-inch FHD (1920x1080) Display, in-Plane Switching (IPS) Technology, AMD FreeSync Premium, TÜV 3-Star, 2X HDMI, DisplayPort 1.4, Tilt
  • Smooth motion: 240Hz refresh rate and fast 0.5ms response time provide crisp visuals and fluid movement with less input lag.
  • Seamless gaming: FreeSync Premium and HDMI VRR eliminate tearing for smooth, responsive PC and console gameplay.
  • Fast IPS: Faster 0.5ms response with excellent color accuracy across wide IPS viewing angles.
  • Rich color: 99% sRGB color coverage delivers vivid, detailed imagery with strong accuracy.
  • Eye comfort: TÜV Rheinland 3‑star certified display lowers blue light while preserving color quality.

3. MSI MAG 32C6X — large-screen, high-refresh choice

The MAG 32C6X costs ₹18,699 on MSI’s listed price snapshot. Its 32-inch curved VA panel runs at 1920×1080 (FHD), with a 250Hz refresh rate, 1ms MPRT, Adaptive-Sync and anti-flicker.

This model prioritizes physical size and competitive refresh over pixel density. At 32 inches, FHD is less detailed than QHD on a 27-inch monitor, but the lower resolution can be easier for a graphics card to drive at very high frame rates. It is most appropriate for players who value motion smoothness and a large view, and who sit far enough away to be comfortable with the pixel density.

4. Acer ED270 X0 — budget high-refresh pick

Acer lists the ED270 X0 at ₹11,499. It is a 27-inch curved VA FHD monitor with 200Hz refresh, 1ms VRB, AMD FreeSync and HDR10. Connectivity includes two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Choose it when keeping money available for a graphics-card upgrade, arm or peripherals matters more than QHD sharpness. Its 200Hz specification is unusually high for this price class, but FHD at 27 inches will look less crisp for text and detailed single-player games than a 27-inch QHD screen.

How to choose between FHD, QHD, 180Hz and 250Hz

Resolution versus graphics-card load

QHD (2560×1440) renders substantially more pixels than FHD (1920×1080), making games and desktop text sharper and providing more usable workspace. FHD requires less GPU power, which makes it easier to sustain 200Hz or 250Hz in competitive titles. Select QHD if image detail and general-purpose use lead; select FHD if your priority is the highest frame rate your existing GPU can deliver.

What the response labels mean

Refresh rate states how often the panel can update: 180Hz, 200Hz and 250Hz are not interchangeable. Manufacturers also quote different response metrics. GtG means grey-to-grey transition, MPRT is a motion-response measurement often associated with backlight-strobing modes, and VRB is Acer’s terminology. A smaller number under one method cannot be directly compared with a number measured under another, and these specifications are not independent motion tests.

VA panels and curved screens

All four shortlisted models use VA technology and curved designs. VA panels are generally selected for stronger native contrast than common IPS alternatives, while curvature can feel more immersive at a desk. Viewing comfort is personal; check your seating distance, reflections and preferred viewing angle rather than assuming a curve is automatically better.

Features to verify before ordering

  • Variable refresh: FreeSync or Adaptive-Sync can reduce tearing when enabled with a compatible graphics card and connection.
  • Ergonomics: Confirm whether the exact listing offers height adjustment, pivot and tilt. The evidenced Acer ED270U S3 specifies VESA support, but stand adjustments vary by model.
  • Ports and cable: Check HDMI and DisplayPort versions, included cables and which input supports the advertised maximum refresh rate.
  • HDR expectations: HDR10 on a specification sheet does not establish measured brightness or HDR performance.
  • Sale total: Recheck seller identity, stock, SBI-card eligibility, delivery fees, warranty terms and the final amount immediately before payment.

Where LG UltraGear fits

LG India is promoting UltraGear monitors during the festival and highlights model-dependent features such as 144Hz or 240Hz refresh, 1ms GTG, FreeSync, HDR10, and adjustable tilt, height and pivot. The promotion does not provide a model-level sub-₹20,000 price, so treat LG as an alternative category to investigate and verify the specific Amazon offer before relying on a model or price.

Quick buying decisions

  • Most balanced: Acer ED270U S3 for QHD, 180Hz and the lowest listed price among the QHD options.
  • QHD near ₹20,000: MSI MAG 27CQ6PF if its Rapid VA features and Adaptive-Sync justify the higher spend for you.
  • Biggest and fastest: MSI MAG 32C6X when 32 inches and 250Hz matter more than QHD sharpness.
  • Spend the least: Acer ED270 X0 for 200Hz FHD while preserving budget for other hardware.
