Frontier is the general-purpose model. Its dual microphones include noise filtering, and its small body can be worn on a supplied wristband or attached to clothing. Eclipse takes a different approach: it sits against a compatible phone and is intended to capture phone calls as well as nearby conversations when you activate it.
Both current product pages list iOS and Android apps. That is important because older Pioneer documentation described an early Android build that was unsupported; that older note should not be used to judge the current Frontier or Eclipse listings.

- You need both iOS and Android compatibility and do not want to choose a phone platform before buying.
- IP67 water resistance is useful for your normal carrying conditions, while still avoiding deliberate immersion or charging the device while wet.
What Frontier does not establish

- You regularly need notes from phone calls and want a device designed specifically to capture both participants.
- You already use a MagSafe-compatible phone or case, or are willing to use a MagSafe ring for a non-MagSafe setup.
- You prefer a slim phone-mounted accessory to a wristband or clothing clip.
- You can wait for availability to be confirmed in your region.
Availability matters
The announced $99.99 price is not the same as a confirmed in-stock offer. The official page says Eclipse will be available soon, so verify that orders are actually being accepted, that your country is eligible, and that the displayed price has not changed before treating it as an immediate alternative.
Bee Basic versus Bee Pro
What is included without a subscription
Amazon says every purchaser receives conversation processing, conversation summaries, recaps, and 14 days of memory at no additional recurring cost. This is the Bee Basic experience. You can therefore buy the hardware and continue receiving the core summary workflow without paying monthly, provided the service terms in your account remain the same.
Basic is most suitable if you review recent conversations, export or act on summaries promptly, and do not need desktop access or extensive integrations. Its defining storage limit is 14 days of history.
What the 30-day Bee Pro trial provides
New devices include 30 days of Bee Pro, according to Bee’s plan information. The trial lets you evaluate features that are not part of Basic before deciding whether the recurring charge is worthwhile.

How to choose between Frontier and Eclipse

Account deletion is therefore a consequential action: use it only when you intend to remove that information rather than merely clear one summary.
Audio deletion is not the same as zero data
The statement about audio refers to the raw audio stream. The service still creates transcripts, summaries, insights, to-dos, and personal context, which are separate data types. Review and delete those outputs when appropriate, and understand that connected services may have their own retention rules.
Consent and recording etiquette
Get consent before recording other people in meetings, interviews, calls, or informal conversations. Laws differ by location and can require all participants to agree. Tell participants what is being recorded and how the resulting notes will be used. A green or white recording LED helps communicate device status, but it is not legal advice and does not substitute for permission.
