Totenreich has six Cursed Mode relics across the Grim, Sinister and Wicked tiers. Each relic adds a permanent drawback to a run, and each is unlocked by completing a separate trial. The Wrestler’s Belt is now solved: COD Central marked it FOUND on October 16, 2026, after its 18-counter, 900-kill requirement was identified.
How Totenreich relics work
Relics are Cursed Mode modifiers. Unlocking one does not make a run easier; it adds a restriction or randomization that you can select in later Cursed Mode games. Progress is tied to the current run and is not saved between sessions, so do not save and quit while completing a chain unless the specific objective has already registered.

Before starting a relic attempt
- Enter the required Cursed Mode tier and start a fresh run.
- Track objectives in the same session; progress is reported as run-based rather than persistent between sessions.
- Reserve Essence for trials that remove weapons or require purchases between waves.
- Read each trial’s damage rule literally. A kill made with the wrong source can fail the trigger or leave the sequence incomplete.
Grim relics
Power Switch
Power Switch is available from Tier 1 at round 20 or later. Its unlock sequence uses a randomized statue code and a trap-only combat trial.

- Use a scoped weapon to inspect the four deer-skull statues. Record the number shown by each statue; the values reroll every game.
- Match each number to the corresponding bear rug in Blodheim Hall.
- Throw the Combat Axe (tomahawk) at the rugs in ascending order, from the fewest heads to the most.
- Enter the green portal that appears.
- Complete three waves in which fire traps are the only permitted source of damage.
Because the statue values change, a fixed internet order is not reliable. Re-scan the statues on every attempt.

Wrestler’s Belt — solved October 16, 2026
The Wrestler’s Belt is no longer an unsolved relic. COD Central marked it FOUND on October 16, 2026, 169 days after Totenreich launched. The trigger requires 18 hidden counters: 17 wall-buy weapons and the Jotunn Star, with 50 direct kills on each. That is a minimum of 900 qualifying kills.
- Run the Jotunn Star quest to the lighthouse.
- Pick up the Mr. Peeks magazine before taking the wonder weapon. The magazine starts the 18-counter tracking sequence.
- Buy each of the 17 Totenreich wall-buy weapons and make 50 direct kills with each.
- Make 50 direct kills with the Jotunn Star.
- Go to the portal beside the Arsenal in Eidskallen Square.
- Finish the trial. Weapons are removed at the end of each wave, so purchase replacements between waves and keep enough Essence available.
Mystery Box weapons, loadout weapons, equipment, field upgrades and ammo mods do not provide qualifying kills. Treyarch said on June 4, 2026 that the belt was “not bugged and never was”; the missing requirement was the counter sequence.

Stuffed Elephant
Stuffed Elephant requires reaching round 40 without buying or receiving a perk. That includes perks from machines, GobbleGums, T.E.D.D. rewards, Mr. Peeks eggs and random drops.

- Use the portal behind Jugger-Nog on Fishery Island when it appears.
- Inside the trial, shoot the four fixed Mr. Peeks eggs at Skallen Market, Storm Bridge, Dry Dock and Beacon Island.
- Kill the high-value target spawned by each egg. Complete all four objectives.
Perks become safe to buy before entering the trial once the portal has appeared, but taking one before that point invalidates the no-perk gate.

Dancing Arnie
Dancing Arnie’s preparation is an ingredient chain followed by a five-wave melee-only trial. The exact soul and fishing thresholds are inconsistently reported, so use the confirmation events rather than a fixed kill number.
- Carry the pot from Skallen Market to Blodheim Hall.
- Add ale from Eidskallen Square.
- Add Chilly Chunks from Storm Bridge.
- Kill a Necropincer with the Flammenfalle trap and collect the lobster it drops.
- During a later Special Round, catch the red fish.
- Put Chilly Chunks in the pot before building the Jotunn Star. Reversing those two actions can lock the run out of the sequence.
- Feed Mr. Peeks Jotunn Star melee kills until he laughs.
- Enter the portal above Pack-a-Punch on Fishery Island.
- Clear all five waves using melee attacks only.
Reports place the soul requirement at approximately 75 or approximately 100 and the fish trigger around rounds 39, 40 or 41. Continue the Jotunn Star melee kills until the laugh, and treat a round-40-or-later Special Round as the safe fishing target.

Wicked relics
Agarthan Device
Agarthan Device is a Tier 2-or-higher objective that requires Richtofen, completion of the main Easter Egg and a side-quest chain. Its trial uses round-60-strength enemies and allows damage only while you are indoors.

- Play as Richtofen in Tier 2 or higher Cursed Mode.
- Complete the main Easter Egg before beginning the relic chain.
- Find the Mr. Peeks figurine, helmet and walkie-talkie in the randomized secret rooms.
- Buy Melee Macchiato directly from its machine; do not rely on a reward source.
- Complete Richtofen’s side quest.
- Place the three secret-room items on the throne.
- Enter the resulting trial and survive six waves while dealing damage only indoors.
High-value-target bears appear on waves 3 and 6. Do not save and quit during this chain, because the sequence is not designed to resume safely.

Music Box
Music Box opens in Tier II at round 60 or later. The setup uses the Shadow SK and a window-based critical-kill trigger.
- Obtain the Shadow SK from Tyr’s Shoulder.
- At Tyr’s Head, shoot five critical kills through the bay window.
- Watch for Mr. Peeks’ laugh as confirmation. The guide’s wording about whether the kills must be consecutive is disputed, so the audio confirmation is more dependable than counting an assumed streak.
- Enter the red portal in Dry Dock.
- Complete six timed lockdowns in this order: Fishery Island, Tyr’s Foot, Dry Dock, Beacon Island, Eidskallen Square and Skallen Market.
The trial permits only critical damage. Body shots will not progress the required kills or reliably clear the lockdowns.

Common failure points
- Using an old Wrestler’s Belt guide: pages that still call it unsolved predate the October 16, 2026 discovery.
- Counting the wrong kills: for the belt, only direct kills with the specified wall-buy weapon or Jotunn Star count.
- Taking a perk too early: Stuffed Elephant checks all perk sources, not just purchased machines.
- Building the Jotunn Star too soon: Dancing Arnie requires Chilly Chunks in the pot first.
- Leaving the run: relic progress is run-based and is not saved between sessions.
- Breaking the trial damage rule: traps, melee, indoor attacks and critical hits are separate requirements; use the permitted source for the entire relevant wave or lockdown.
