There Is Only War is a three-level Novoza branch in Boltgun 2: The Trenches, Munitions Mayhem and Chaos In The City. Across that route are 17 Secrets and three separate Purity Seals. Use the level-by-level locations below, and collect each item before moving past the listed trigger or transition.
Choosing There Is Only War locks the alternate Novoza branch for that campaign. To play the other branch, start a new campaign; after it is unlocked, the levels can be replayed through Level Select.
There Is Only War collectible overview
The route’s three maps have different collectible patterns. Some Secrets open after shooting a hidden skull or activating a switch, while others depend on checking walls, climbing, or taking a side route. Purity Seals are not included in the Secret count.

How to avoid missing collectibles
- Search before transitions: inspect side rooms, upper ledges and lower trench sections before crossing into the next major area.
- React to triggers: a gate may require a shot skull, a wall may need to be pressed, and a jump pad may only appear after a switch is activated.
- Separate Seals from Secrets: each level’s Purity Seal has its own route and does not increase the Secret number.
- Use Level Select for cleanup: once the branch is available, replay an individual level rather than restarting the whole campaign.
What happens if you chose the other Novoza branch?
The campaign choice is exclusive for that playthrough. If Novoza sent you to the trenches, There Is Only War is the selected branch and its alternate route is unavailable in that save’s current run. Start a new campaign to choose the other path; after the route is unlocked, Level Select allows replaying the relevant levels for missed collectibles.
