RimWorld Together exposes console commands for player control, administration, chat, events, backups, whitelisting and server shutdown. The command names below cover the commands documented for current server guides, including the 25.12.13.1 administration change that requires a player’s username rather than their UID for op and deop. Because command arguments can differ by server build or hosting panel, run help on the server you are actually operating before using an unfamiliar command.
What you need to know before using commands
These commands are entered through the RimWorld Together server console or the console exposed by your host. They affect the live multiplayer server, so treat administrative and persistence commands as production controls rather than chat shortcuts.

Player management commands
ban, unban and kick
Use kick for an immediate disconnect when you do not want to block a player’s next connection. Use ban when the account must be prevented from returning, and unban to reverse that restriction. Do not assume that kicking changes a ban list: the commands represent separate actions.
When a command asks for a player identifier, copy the exact spelling shown by the server. Spaces, capitalization and platform-specific names can matter. If the command fails, run help and inspect the syntax rather than repeatedly guessing.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
op and deop
op grants administrative rights; deop removes them. For version 25.12.13.1, the official wiki guidance is explicit: use the username from the player’s join message, not the UID. A practical workflow is:
- Have the player join or reconnect so the server prints the authoritative username.
- Copy that username exactly from the join output.
- Run
opordeopwith that username in the argument position shown byhelp. - Have the player reconnect or retry the administrative action if the permission change is not recognized immediately.
Grant operator rights only to accounts that need them. Operator access can include destructive actions such as forced shutdowns and player removal.

list and deeplist
Use list when you need a quick view of connected players. The command is documented as a connected-player listing. Use deeplist when you need the richer player information exposed by the server; Shockbyte and BisectHosting document that command, while the exact fields are determined by the running build. Neither listing should be treated as a permanent player database.

Messaging and event controls
Sending messages with broadcast and chat
broadcast is intended for a server-wide announcement, such as a scheduled restart or a warning that a save is about to occur. chat is the console-side chat command. The command names are stable, but the way a message is passed as an argument can vary; check help before putting spaces, punctuation or quoted text into a command.
- Announce maintenance before running a backup, save or shutdown.
- Keep operational notices separate from ordinary player conversation so they are not missed.
- After sending a message, verify it appears to connected players before proceeding with a disruptive action.
Discovering and triggering events
Run eventlist first to see the event identifiers available on your server. event triggers an event, while eventall is the broader variant intended to apply an event to all relevant players or colonies. Do not copy event names from a different game version without checking your own list; unavailable names or changed arguments can produce an error or an unintended result.
Saving and backups
forcesave
forcesave requests an immediate save of the current server state. Use it before planned maintenance, configuration changes or a normal shutdown when you want the latest progress persisted. Wait for the console to finish reporting the save before issuing another state-changing command.

backup and backupuser
backup creates a server backup. backupuser targets a user’s data. The distinction matters: a user backup is not a substitute for a complete server backup when you need to recover the world, configuration and shared state. No exact argument names or storage location are specified; use the usage line printed by help and confirm that the resulting backup completed successfully.
A safe maintenance sequence is to announce the work, run forcesave, create the appropriate backup, verify completion, and only then stop or modify the server.
Stopping the server safely
quit: the normal shutdown
quit saves and shuts down the server and is the preferred command for a controlled stop. The host panel’s Stop button is the other recommended normal-stop path. Warn players first, allow active actions to settle, and use forcesave when you need an explicit save immediately before quitting.

forcequit: emergency-only termination
forcequit closes the server without saving player data. Use it only when the server is hung and a normal quit or host-panel Stop action cannot complete. Any progress since the last successful save can be lost, so document the incident and check the world after the next start.
Whitelist management
The whitelist command has two documented subcommands: whitelist add and whitelist remove. Add a player before asking them to connect to a restricted server; remove a player when access should end. Use the exact identifier and argument order printed by help. Removing someone from the whitelist does not automatically disconnect an already connected player, so use kick separately if immediate removal is required.
Commands exposed by some BisectHosting guides
BisectHosting documents four additional commands: resetplayer, resetserver, modlist and getip. They are not established as universal RimWorld Together commands in the general command list, so treat them as host- or build-dependent.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.

- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
resetplayer: a player-reset operation; verify exactly what data is removed before confirming it.resetserver: a server-reset operation; obtain a backup first and read the usage output carefully.modlist: displays the server’s installed or active mod list.getip: returns an IP-related value exposed by that hosting setup.
If help does not list one of these commands on your server, do not assume it is available or that a similarly named command will work.

A safe command workflow
- Open the correct console. Confirm the server name, world and instance before entering anything.
- Run
help. Record the available commands and the argument syntax for this exact version. - Inspect the player list. Use
listordeeplistand copy usernames exactly when an account-specific command is needed. - Announce disruptive work. Use
broadcastto tell connected players about a kick, backup, restart or shutdown. - Save first. Run
forcesave; for a larger change, follow it withbackupor the appropriatebackupuseroperation. - Apply the smallest action. Prefer
kickoverbanwhen a temporary disconnect is sufficient, and preferquitoverforcequitwhenever the server responds. - Verify the result. Check the console response, player list, event output or backup completion message before declaring the operation finished.
Troubleshooting failed commands
The server says the command is unknown
Run help and compare the spelling exactly. The command may be host-specific, removed in your build or unavailable through the interface you are using. Do not substitute an unverified command such as toggledifficulty; that command is not confirmed here, and the Fandom wiki carries an outdated notice.
op or deop cannot find the player
Use the username printed in the player’s join message, not the UID, when running version 25.12.13.1. Check capitalization and punctuation, then retry with the argument order shown by help.
A player is still connected after whitelist removal
Whitelist removal controls future access; it does not necessarily terminate an existing session. Use kick if the player must leave immediately, then verify the player no longer appears in list or deeplist.
Progress disappeared after a shutdown
Check whether forcequit was used. That command closes without saving player data. For future maintenance, use forcesave followed by quit or the host panel’s Stop button.
An event command fails
Run eventlist and use an event identifier offered by the current server. Event names and arguments can change between versions, so an example from another installation may not be valid on yours.
