Anime Zero’s currently reported weapon-trait list contains 18 traits, from small starter bonuses to rare combinations of damage, critical-hit stats, attack speed, cooldown reduction, movement, health, coins, experience, and drop rate. To enchant—or reroll—a weapon, go to the Traits area, speak to Matilda the Enchanter, select the weapon, and spend a Trait Reroll. The right trait depends on what you want that weapon to do; there is no best choice for every build.

This guide uses the figures reported by third-party guides updated October 9, 2026. Treat the chances, menu labels, and reward routes as a snapshot rather than permanent rules: Anime Zero is in active development, and the reviewed sources do not independently verify the current values against an official game reference. Before spending rerolls, check the in-game display and confirm that the selected weapon is the one you mean to change.

How many traits are in Anime Zero?

The trait guides updated October 9, 2026, list 18 weapon traits. The table below reproduces their displayed chances and bonuses as reported by Beebom and cross-checked by Bloxodes. These are guide-reported in-game values, not figures independently verified against an official game reference. Anime Zero is in active development, so traits, chances, menu names, or rewards may change after an update.

“Displayed roll chance” means the chance reported in those guides. It should not be treated as an independently tested guarantee, a promise of a particular result after a set number of attempts, or proof that the values have not changed in a later game update. A low displayed chance identifies a result as rare in the reported table; it does not tell you how many rerolls you personally will need. The sources do not provide a fixed reroll cost or a guaranteed-result mechanic.

Which Anime Zero trait is best?

There is no single best trait for every weapon or activity. Match the bonuses to the job you want the selected weapon to perform: critical hits, broad combat improvement, faster attacks, ability use, farming, or survivability. The recommendations below follow the bonuses listed in the guides, rather than an official ranking or independently tested build comparison.

A useful first question is what problem you want the trait to solve. If you want more frequent or stronger critical hits, compare the critical traits rather than choosing only by rarity. If you want multiple combat stats on one trait, look at Supernova, Ferocity, or Hunter. If the goal is rewards outside direct combat, Fortune’s coin, EXP, and drop-rate bonuses are more relevant than a damage bonus. For extra health, Vitality is the clearly listed option. These are comparisons of the stated effects, not claims about how a specific weapon performs in every mode.

For critical-hit builds

Deadeye combines +5% Crit Chance with +50% Crit Damage and +20% Damage. Sniper instead offers +12% Crit Chance, +15% Crit Damage, and +8% Attack Speed. Overkill provides +40% Crit Damage, while Razor Focus provides +13% Crit Chance. These traits emphasize different parts of a critical-hit setup; choose based on whether you want the listed chance, damage, or combination of stats. For example, Razor Focus has the highest listed Crit Chance among these four, while Deadeye lists the largest Crit Damage bonus and also adds damage. Sniper spreads its bonuses across chance, damage, and attack speed. The guide calls Deadeye one of the best traits, but that is its editorial judgment, not a verified universal ranking.

For a mix of combat bonuses

Supernova has the broadest listed package: damage, cooldown reduction, attack speed, and +3 Walk Speed. Ferocity also combines all four categories, with +18% Damage, +8% Cooldown Reduction, +14% Attack Speed, and +2 Walk Speed. Hunter is another multi-stat option, with smaller listed bonuses to damage, cooldown reduction, attack speed, and movement. On the figures in the table, Supernova has the largest listed values in this group for damage, cooldown reduction, attack speed, and Walk Speed; Ferocity still provides a substantial multi-stat set, while Hunter offers lower listed amounts. These combinations make them reasonable candidates when you value several combat stats at once, but the guides do not establish how the bonuses interact with a particular weapon or build. Supernova is also described as one of the best by the guide, an opinion rather than an official tier placement.

For farming or staying alive

Fortune is the only listed trait with coin, experience, and drop-rate bonuses: +25% Coins, +20% EXP, and +20% Drop Rate. It is the clearest match when those rewards are your priority. Since those are resource-oriented effects, it may be a better fit for a weapon you use while farming than for a setup whose only goal is combat damage. That is a choice based on the listed bonuses; the sources do not compare reward rates across activities or say how much more efficient a particular farming route becomes.

Vitality is the listed health-focused choice, adding +25% Max Health. It may suit a survivability goal, but the sources do not give details on how health bonuses affect difficulty or performance in particular modes. Neither Fortune nor Vitality replaces a combat trait’s specific purpose; decide whether the selected weapon is being used for resource gains, survivability, or damage.

For a focused stat or early progression

The numbered Power, Swift, and Focus traits offer progressively larger listed bonuses within their families. Power I, II, and III give +4%, +6%, and +8% Damage respectively. Swift I, II, and III give +6%, +9%, and +12% Attack Speed, each with +1 Walk Speed. Focus I, II, and III give +4%, +7%, and +10% Cooldown Reduction. If you want a direct upgrade in one category, compare the relevant family rather than treating every trait as interchangeable.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The family names are useful shorthand for the listed effect: Power adds damage, Swift adds attack speed and a small movement bonus, and Focus reduces cooldowns. The table does not say that a higher tier is guaranteed to be better for every play style, nor does it describe a way to target a particular tier. Use the displayed chances to understand the reported rarity, and compare the actual bonuses against your goal rather than rerolling simply because a trait has a higher tier label.

How to enchant or reroll a weapon

In the guides, enchanting means rerolling the selected weapon’s trait. The reroll replaces that weapon’s current trait, so verify the weapon selection before you spend the resource. This is the central requirement: the action is tied to the selected weapon, not a general account-wide trait slot. If you have several weapons, use the arrows carefully and check which one is shown before proceeding.

  1. Open Areas and travel to the Traits area.
  2. Find Matilda the Enchanter.
  3. Use the arrows to select the weapon you intend to reroll.
  4. Check the selected weapon’s current trait and your Trait Reroll balance.
  5. Select Reroll to replace that weapon’s current trait.

The guides do not state a fixed Trait Reroll cost per attempt, so check the in-game balance and confirmation details rather than assuming a particular price. They also do not report a way to preserve the old trait after rerolling. If you meant to improve a different weapon, change the selection before rerolling. A practical pause before clicking is to confirm three things: the weapon name or selection, the current trait you are replacing, and that you are comfortable spending a reroll without a guaranteed outcome.

“Enchant” is the word some players use for this process, but the researched instructions describe it as a trait reroll at Matilda. They do not document a separate enchantment material, a crafting recipe, a level requirement, or a real-money purchase requirement. The documented action and resource are in-game; do not assume you need to buy a physical product to reroll.

How Auto Reroll and Keep Traits work

Auto Reroll uses a list of traits you are willing to keep. Before starting, open the trait-selection or Keep Traits menu and select the results you want the process to stop on. Then enable Auto Reroll. The guide says it stops when it obtains a selected trait; it does not describe a separate guarantee that a specific trait will appear.

PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 / Switch Lite/OLED Model - Pikachu vs. Gengar - Gamepad, game controller, Officially Licensed
  • Works with Nintendo Switch 2. C button not available
  • Wireless controller with Bluetooth 5.0 technology
  • Rechargeable lithium-ion battery: Up to 30 hours per charge*
  • Two mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons
  • Embedded anti-friction rings for smooth thumbstick control
  • Include every result you would genuinely accept; an incomplete keep list can cause Auto Reroll to continue past a result you wanted.
  • Review the selected weapon before starting, because the trait is attached to that weapon.
  • Use Trait History to review previous rolls, according to the guide.

Before turning it on, consider whether you want to stop on one exact trait or on several acceptable outcomes. If you select only one result, the process is configured to keep only that selected result; the source does not promise how long it will take to appear. If you would be satisfied with multiple traits, include all of them in Keep Traits so the automatic process can stop on any one you accept. Then review your choices once more before starting. Trait History is useful for looking back at earlier rolls, but the guide does not say that it restores a previous trait or reverses a reroll.

How to get more Trait Rerolls

Third-party guides report several possible in-game routes. Exact rewards can change, and the guides do not establish a fixed amount or guarantee for each activity.

  • Game modes and Story rewards: Beebom reports game-mode clears as a source; Bloxodes also advises checking game modes or Story rewards.
  • Daily and quest rewards: Both daily rewards and quest rewards are reported routes to check.
  • Achievements and milestones: Bloxodes includes these among possible reward sources.
  • Codes: Check the in-game Codes menu and current official announcements. The independent Anime Zero Wiki says it has not directly verified active codes from the developer, so do not count on an old code guide as proof that a code still works.

Because reward rules can change, look at the current in-game menus for available activities and requirements. The listed routes are reported by third-party guides, not confirmed here as permanent reward rules. A sensible order is to check the rewards currently visible in your game—daily or quest tasks, achievements, modes, and Story rewards—then verify whether a code is still announced as active before relying on it. The sources do not give stable quantities, completion requirements, or a timetable for earning Trait Rerolls, so those details should be checked in the live game.

What to check before spending a reroll

  • Weapon: Confirm the arrows show the intended weapon; the reroll affects the selected weapon’s trait.
  • Goal: Decide whether you value combat stats, critical hits, farming rewards, or health before judging a result.
  • Auto Reroll settings: Inspect Keep Traits before enabling the automatic process.
  • Current game version: Treat reported chances and reward routes as changeable, and verify the current display in game.
  • Resource balance: Check how many Trait Rerolls you have and review any on-screen cost or confirmation details; the guides do not specify a fixed cost.
  • Evidence versus opinion: A guide’s “best” recommendation is editorial, while the displayed bonuses are the figures it reports. There is no researched official ranking that makes one trait best for all players.

The detailed list and reroll steps were reported by Beebom and Bloxodes in guides updated October 9, 2026; the independent Anime Zero Wiki was last checked October 4, 2026. Those sources describe a game in active development. The figures here therefore identify what those guides reported, not an official statement that every value remains current. Recheck the in-game interface and official announcements for the latest traits, rewards, and codes before relying on a time-sensitive detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best trait in Anime Zero?

There is no one best trait for every weapon or activity. Deadeye and Sniper support critical-hit builds, Supernova and Ferocity combine several combat bonuses, Fortune is oriented toward coins, EXP, and drops, and Vitality adds Max Health. The guide calls Supernova and Deadeye among the best, but that is an editorial opinion, not an official or independently tested universal ranking.

How do you enchant weapons in Anime Zero?

Go to Areas, travel to the Traits area, and find Matilda the Enchanter. Use the arrows to select the intended weapon, check its current trait and your Trait Reroll balance, then choose Reroll. The selected weapon’s current trait is replaced, so confirm the weapon before spending.

How do I get more Trait Rerolls?

Third-party guides report game-mode clears, Story rewards, daily and quest rewards, achievements, milestones, and active codes as possible routes. Check current in-game rewards and official announcements because reward rules can change. The reviewed guides do not establish a fixed amount or guarantee for each route.

How many traits are in Anime Zero?

The guides updated October 9, 2026, list 18 weapon traits with displayed chances and bonuses. These are third-party reported values and may change as the game is updated.

Does Auto Reroll keep the trait I want?

It stops when it obtains a trait selected in the Keep Traits or trait-selection menu, according to the guide. Select every result you are willing to keep before enabling Auto Reroll; the sources do not promise a particular trait or number of attempts.

The Bottom Line

Anime Zero’s reported list has 18 weapon traits, but the right one depends on your goal: critical stats, broad combat bonuses, farming rewards, or health. Rerolls replace the selected weapon’s current trait, so verify the weapon and Auto Reroll keep list before spending. Chances and reward sources are third-party reports that should be checked against the current game.
