Neither Alfahosting nor FastComet is a proven universal winner: their official plan pages show different trade-offs, but do not establish which host is faster, more reliable, or better supported. Alfahosting is the clearer fit if you want servers explicitly located in Germany and more listed storage; FastComet may suit you if you need multiple websites on an upper shared plan or want a lower first-term promotional price.
Prices and plan details below are provider-published figures from pages accessed on October 7, 2026. They can change, so verify the exact plan and checkout terms before ordering.
What is the main difference between Alfahosting and FastComet?
The strongest documented distinction is what each provider emphasizes in its shared-hosting plans. Alfahosting lists 75–600 GB of SSD storage and states that its servers are in Germany. FastComet lists 10–40 GB of NVMe storage; its two upper tiers include unlimited websites, while its two lower tiers allow one website each.

SSD and NVMe are the providers’ storage labels; the figures alone do not show which host delivers better website performance. Likewise, advertised support availability and safeguards do not establish response quality or uptime.

How do the listed plans compare?
The table summarizes the providers’ shared web-hosting pages. Prices are in different currencies and reflect different billing and discount presentations, so they are not direct like-for-like totals.

Which host is cheaper?
FastComet displays the lower promotional entry figure: $1.99 per month for Starter, alongside a regular price of $9.95 per month. Its pricing page says the discount applies only to the first billing term. Alfahosting’s lowest listed 12-month price is €5.99 per month for Multi L v3; its one-month price is €6.99 per month.

Those figures do not identify the cheapest overall commitment. FastComet’s promotion, regular rate, and prepaid subscription period differ from Alfahosting’s displayed term prices. Alfahosting says its listed prices include statutory VAT, its 12-month plans have no setup fee, and its one-month contract has a €9.99 setup fee. Currency, tax treatment, billing term, and setup charges all affect the amount due.

Before choosing, compare the checkout total for the term you actually intend to buy, then check the price that applies after any first-term discount. Do not treat either provider’s displayed monthly figure as a complete cost without confirming those details.
Which host fits your website needs?
Choose Alfahosting if German server location or listed storage is the priority
Alfahosting explicitly identifies Germany as its server location and lists more storage capacity on its web-hosting tiers than FastComet does on its shared plans. This makes it the more directly documented fit if your decision depends on those particular specifications. The provider’s location statement is not an independent assessment of performance, compliance, or suitability for a specific legal requirement.
Rank #4
Its tariff page emphasizes storage, databases, and other resource allowances. Confirm the exact domain and site limits, plus the database and email allowances you need, before selecting a package.
Choose FastComet if you need multiple websites on one upper shared plan
FastComet lists unlimited websites on Plus and Extra, compared with one website each on Starter and Essential. If you need several sites under a single shared-hosting tier, that published distinction may be useful. Confirm how the provider defines the limit and whether the selected plan’s storage and other resource allowances suit all of your sites.
Choose based on location only after checking the exact options
Alfahosting says its servers are in Germany. FastComet advertises multiple server locations, but the pricing comparison does not establish which locations a particular buyer can select. If distance to visitors or a required hosting region matters, verify the available location for the plan during checkout rather than assuming it from a general feature listing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What do the advertised safeguards establish?
FastComet’s pricing page lists daily backups by plan, free website transfers, 24/7 human support, and a 30-day money-back guarantee in its FAQ. Its published backup counts are 7 for Starter, Essential, and Plus, and 30 for Extra; listed free transfers are 1, 1, 2, and 3, respectively. Check the current plan terms to understand what is included and any limits or exclusions.
Alfahosting advertises 24/7 support. The pricing-page evidence summarized here does not establish its backup or migration allowances. Neither provider’s availability statement demonstrates how quickly support will respond, and the published features do not supply comparable, independently measured uptime or speed results.

Quick Recap
How to make the final choice
- Set your requirements. Write down how many websites and domains you need, the storage you expect to use, and any database or email requirements.
- Check the relevant plan limits. Match those requirements to the exact tier. Confirm Alfahosting’s site and domain limits, and check how FastComet applies its website allowance.
- Verify location and included services. Confirm the available server location, backup terms, transfer allowance, and support conditions for the plan you intend to buy.
- Compare the amount due and later price. Review the checkout total, billing period, taxes, setup fee, first-term promotion, and renewal or regular rate. Keep the currencies distinct unless you also account for the exchange rate and applicable taxes.
- Decide using the trade-off, not an unproven quality claim. The available plan pages support a comparison of advertised price and features, not a conclusion that one host is faster, more reliable, or better supported.
