Short answer: current community references do not establish “Diamond” as an AION 2 currency, nor do they identify a verified diamond-farming route. They do describe several ways to earn Kina or Kinah—the spelling varies—and separate Abyss Points from that currency. Until you confirm what “diamond” means in your regional client, the safest comparison is between those documented currency and income routes rather than an invented diamond ranking.

The practical winner depends on your region, patch, character access, time per activity, reward limits, whether currency is bound, and the net result after market costs. The available guides do not provide a like-for-like, official dataset that supports a universal “best” method or a reliable hourly yield.

First, identify what “diamond” means in your client

The title is ambiguous. Community pages mention gem materials, but the reviewed currency references do not confirm that an item named Diamond is a currency, a tradeable gem, a crafting ingredient, or even a current item in every regional version of AION 2. Treating a gem mention as proof of a currency would send you to the wrong farming activity.

Use the in-game identity, not a guide title

Before comparing routes, open the suspected item in your inventory and record its exact name, icon, tooltip category, and binding status. Then check the client’s currency or wallet panel, the item’s “obtainable from” information if shown, and the Market search. A true currency normally appears in a dedicated balance display and has a defined spending function. A material generally appears as an inventory stack and may be listed under gathering, crafting, equipment, or enhancement categories.

If your client does not show an item called Diamond, do not substitute Kina, Kinah, or a similarly colored gem. Record the region, client language, patch date, and exact localized name before searching for a farming route. The 2026-10-07 AION 2 WikiRealm currency reference and the 2026-10-06 MetaBot.GG farming guide do not resolve this identification question.

How AION 2’s documented currencies differ

Kina or Kinah

Community guides describe Kina/Kinah as the main general-purpose currency earned through gameplay and trade-related activity. Spelling differs between sources and may differ again by client localization. The 2026-10-02 Aion 2 Database guide, the 2026-09-19 AION 2 Wiki guide, and the recent AION 2 Cyou currency guide all discuss income and spending in these terms. Confirm the label shown by your own character’s wallet before using search terms or following a price guide.

Kina/Kinah is the relevant comparison when you are deciding how to pay for ordinary progression, consumables, upgrades, or player-market purchases. It is not automatically interchangeable with a progression score earned in the Abyss.

Abyss Points

The same community references describe Abyss Points as a separate progression currency associated with Abyss activity and dedicated uses. An activity can award both a general currency and Abyss Points, but that does not make the two balances exchangeable. Compare them as different outputs: one may pay for ordinary expenses while the other advances an Abyss-specific system.

Do not calculate a “Kina per hour” result by silently adding Abyss Points to the total. If you value both, report two separate rates and explain what each balance can buy in your regional client.

Bound and unbound balances

Several community guides distinguish bound and unbound currency or rewards. The distinction matters because a bound balance may be spendable by your character but unavailable for Market listings, mailing, or transfer to another character. The 2026-10-02 Aion 2 Database guide and the 2026-09-19 AION 2 Wiki guide describe this distinction as part of early currency planning.

Check the tooltip and transaction interface rather than assuming every reward is transferable. A route that produces a large bound balance may be excellent for personal progression but useless for funding another character or buying a market item.

Routes community guides identify for Kina/Kinah

The routes below are reported by nonofficial community guides, including Aion 2 Database (2026-10-02), AION 2 Wiki (2026-09-19), Aion2 Guide (2026-10-04), AION 2 Help (2026-09-24), and AION 2 Cyou. Their labels, caps, and reward rules can change with a patch or regional service configuration. No source supplies a sufficiently controlled comparison to rank them globally.

Route Typical output described by guides What you must verify Main economic limitation
Dungeons Recurring currency and reward-system income Entry requirements, party or solo rules, clear time, daily or weekly limits, and whether rewards are bound Limited runs or variable completion time can reduce repeatable value
Quests and duties Mission or duty rewards during routine progression Which quests are repeatable, reset timing, character level, and regional reward tables One-time rewards do not equal a permanent farming rate
Open-world activity Currency, drops, and sometimes materials from ordinary combat or exploration Mob density, competition, drop binding, respawn behavior, and travel time Raw currency and saleable drops are different outputs
Abyss activity Abyss Points and possibly other rewards or saleable drops Access, risk, faction or mode rules, limits, and the exact currency mix Abyss Points should not be counted as ordinary Kina/Kinah
Gathering and crafting Items that can be sold through the player market Recipe demand, material cost, production time, market access, fees, and taxes Gross sale price can hide a negative net margin
Market trading or sales Unbound proceeds from selling drops or crafted goods Listing rules, tax, settlement time, price volatility, and binding status Demand and supply vary by region and patch

Dungeons: a repeatable route, not a guaranteed hourly rate

Community currency guides consistently list dungeons among the recurring income options. That makes them a natural first comparison for a character that can enter reliably, but the guides do not establish a universal reward-per-hour figure. A dungeon’s value depends on the complete cycle: queue or travel time, group formation, loading, clear time, reward collection, and any reset or lockout.

What to record before calling a dungeon efficient

  1. Write down the character’s level, gear or access requirement, and the exact dungeon name in your region.
  2. Measure the full run from entering the activity to becoming ready for the next run; include queue and travel time.
  3. Record each reward separately: bound Kina/Kinah, unbound Kina/Kinah, Abyss Points, equipment, and materials.
  4. Check the client for a daily or weekly limit and note whether the reward changes after the first clear.
  5. Repeat the measurement on multiple eligible runs rather than extrapolating from one unusually fast group.

If a dungeon has a cap, report its value as a per-reset total, not an unlimited hourly farm. After the cap, switch to an uncapped route or stop when the activity no longer advances your goal.

Quests and duties: efficient progression with finite rewards

Guides from Aion2 Guide and AION 2 Help identify quests, missions, or duties as income sources. These activities can be attractive while leveling because the same objectives provide experience, equipment, and currency. Their economic value changes once a character has completed one-time objectives.

Separate repeatable and one-time work

  • One-time quest: count the reward as a progression bonus, not as a sustainable farming rate.
  • Daily or weekly duty: calculate the reward per reset and include the time required to unlock or travel to it.
  • Repeatable task: verify the reset rule and whether the reward is reduced after repeated completions.

Do not compare a character’s first-week quest income directly with a mature character’s dungeon income. The AION 2 Wiki guide’s early-week discussion illustrates why timing matters: a new character can have access to front-loaded rewards that disappear after completion.

Open-world farming: count drops and travel separately

Open-world combat and exploration appear in the community route lists. The result may include direct Kina/Kinah, equipment, gathering materials, or other drops that only become currency after a Market sale. Treat those as separate lines in your notes.

A practical open-world ledger

  • Direct currency picked up during the session.
  • Tradable drops, with the quantity and the actual completed sale price rather than an optimistic listing price.
  • Materials retained for your own crafting; assign them the price you would have paid or the realistic market opportunity cost.
  • Repair, consumable, travel, and other direct expenses.
  • Time spent moving between locations, waiting for spawns, and competing for targets.

Open-world income is especially sensitive to population and patch changes. A route that looks strong on a quiet server may produce less when other players contest the same targets, while a newly desirable material can temporarily raise sale prices.

Abyss activity: value the right currency

Abyss routes are not simply a higher-paying version of ordinary farming. Guides associate them with Abyss Points and may also mention drops or general currency. Because Abyss Points have dedicated uses, decide first whether your objective is Abyss progression or spendable Kina/Kinah.

Use two scorecards

  1. Record Abyss Points earned per completed activity and per hour.
  2. Record general currency and tradable items separately.
  3. Apply your own objective: if you need an Abyss purchase, prioritize the first score; if you need market spending power, prioritize the second.
  4. Include risk, defeat recovery, travel, and access restrictions in the time measurement.

Never convert Abyss Points into a Kina/Kinah value unless the current client provides an explicit exchange or a clearly priced item that you can sell legally. The reviewed sources do not establish such a universal conversion.

Market sales, gathering, and crafting: calculate net proceeds

Trade and crafting are prominent in the community descriptions of currency income, but they are not automatically profitable. The AION 2 Wiki guide specifically highlights market costs, while the 2026-10-04 Aion2 Guide advises accounting for materials, listing fees, and tax. A sale price is revenue, not profit.

Net-profit formula

Net proceeds = completed sale price − material cost − listing fee − transaction tax − consumables − other direct costs

For an hourly comparison, divide net proceeds by the full time spent gathering, crafting, listing, relisting, and collecting the sale. If you gathered the materials yourself, do not treat them as free: use their realistic current sale value or the replacement cost of buying them.

Market checks before crafting

  1. Search the exact item in the regional Market and note completed or currently available prices, if the interface distinguishes them.
  2. Confirm that the item is unbound and that your character can list it.
  3. Check the recipe’s total inputs, including intermediate materials and failed or wasted attempts.
  4. Read the listing fee and tax information shown at confirmation.
  5. Estimate how long inventory and currency remain locked while the item sells.
  6. Craft only when the expected net result remains positive after a conservative price adjustment.

Prices, taxes, and Market access can differ by region, membership or service conditions, and patch. The Aion2 Guide’s regional observations should therefore be treated as examples to verify locally, not as global rules.

How to compare routes without inventing a “best” method

The available guides describe mechanics but do not publish an authoritative, date-and-region-qualified yield study. You can still make a useful personal comparison by using the same axes for every route.

Axis Question to answer
Region and patch Which server region, client version, and measurement date produced the result?
Character requirements What level, equipment, quest completion, party size, or access item is required?
Time investment Does the timer include queueing, travel, preparation, selling, and downtime?
Reward type Is the result bound Kina/Kinah, unbound Kina/Kinah, Abyss Points, a material, or another item?
Limits Are there daily, weekly, account, character, or diminishing-return caps?
Market access Can the reward be listed, and are there regional restrictions or service requirements?
Net value What remains after inputs, listing fees, taxes, repairs, consumables, and failed sales?

A repeatable measurement method

  1. Choose one goal: spendable currency, transferable currency, Abyss progression, or a specific material.
  2. Measure at least three comparable sessions for each route under normal conditions.
  3. Use the same character and include the same preparation and downtime in every timer.
  4. Separate guaranteed rewards from variable drops and record binding status.
  5. Price saleable items using conservative, local completed-sale evidence when available.
  6. Calculate both currency per session and net currency per hour.
  7. Write down the route’s reset limit so a high first run cannot be mistaken for an unlimited rate.

This produces a personal decision, not a universal leaderboard. Publish or share the result with the region, date, patch, and assumptions attached to every number.

Choosing a route by player objective

You need spendable currency for your main character

Start with the route that gives reliable unbound Kina/Kinah or directly reduces expenses. A repeatable dungeon may be convenient if you can clear it within its cap. Quests and duties can supplement it while available. Confirm the exact binding rule before counting any reward as transferable.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

You need Abyss progression

Prioritize the activity that awards the required Abyss Points, even if its general-currency output is lower. Keep the two balances separate in your ledger and verify the dedicated Abyss purchase you are saving for.

You have market access and production skills

Compare net crafting margin with the value of selling the raw materials. Crafting wins only when the finished item’s conservative sale value exceeds every input and fee. Volatile demand favors small test batches rather than committing all of your capital.

You are leveling an alternate character

The Aion 2 Database guide includes alts among its currency discussion. An alternate can provide additional quest or dungeon access, but you must check whether limits are character-based or account-based and whether the resulting balance is bound. Do not assume that multiplying characters multiplies the usable currency supply.

You specifically want “diamonds”

Stop and verify the item first. Search the exact in-game name, category, binding status, and source text. If the client identifies it as a gem material, compare gathering, drops, and crafting demand; if it identifies a currency, document where the balance appears and what spends it. Until those facts are confirmed, no responsible route ranking exists.

Common mistakes that inflate farming results

  • Substituting a familiar term: calling Kina/Kinah “diamonds” because a guide uses a gem image.
  • Combining unlike currencies: adding Abyss Points to ordinary currency without an explicit exchange rate.
  • Using gross listings: treating the seller’s asking price as money received after tax and fees.
  • Ignoring binding: counting a character-bound reward as transferable wealth.
  • Extrapolating a cap: multiplying a limited daily reward into an unlimited hourly figure.
  • Timing only combat: excluding travel, queueing, crafting, listing, and failed sales.
  • Copying another region: applying a guide’s market or membership observation to a different client.
  • Relying on a single run: using an unusually lucky drop or fast group as the expected result.

What is established—and what is not

Community documentation supports a cautious map: Kina/Kinah and Abyss Points are described as different currencies; dungeons, quests or duties, open-world and Abyss activities, and market or crafting work are all identified as possible income channels; and bound-versus-unbound status affects how rewards can be used. Those descriptions are nonofficial and must be checked against the current regional client.

The same material does not establish Diamond as a currency, does not verify that gem references mean the item in your title, and does not provide an official, controlled yield comparison. It therefore cannot support a universal claim that one route is the fastest, most profitable, or best for every player.

Verification checklist before you farm

  1. Record the exact item or currency name shown in your client.
  2. Confirm your region, patch, character level, and account or membership conditions.
  3. Check whether the reward is bound, unbound, or another nontransferable type.
  4. Find the activity’s daily, weekly, or account-wide limit.
  5. Measure full elapsed time, including preparation and selling.
  6. Subtract material costs, listing fees, taxes, repairs, and consumables.
  7. Keep Abyss Points separate from Kina/Kinah.
  8. Recheck the result after a patch or major market change.
