Google’s UAE page lists Google AI Plus at AED 18.99 per month, AI Pro at AED 76.99, and AI Ultra from AED 369.99, with a higher Ultra tier shown at AED 769.99. The UAE Apple App Store listing showed ChatGPT Go at AED 29.99 and ChatGPT Plus at AED 79.99. These are channel-specific listings, not a single UAE-wide price for AI; API usage is billed separately from ChatGPT subscriptions.
What does AI cost in the UAE?
For the consumer plans with UAE prices established in the official listings below, monthly subscriptions range from AED 18.99 for Google AI Plus to AED 769.99 for a higher Google AI Ultra tier. ChatGPT prices shown in the UAE Apple App Store listing are AED 29.99 for Go and AED 79.99 for Plus. These plans are not directly equivalent: price alone does not establish which models, features, or usage limits are included.

How much is ChatGPT Plus in the UAE?
The UAE Apple App Store listing showed ChatGPT Plus at AED 79.99. That is an in-app listing, not proof of the price on OpenAI’s website. OpenAI says AED is a supported currency for standard paid subscriptions purchased on chatgpt.com, but the available official information does not establish the live UAE web checkout amount. OpenAI’s general Plus information states a price of $20 per month; that USD statement is not a verified UAE-localized price.

Billing depends on the subscription channel: Apple or Google manage subscriptions started through their apps, while subscriptions purchased on the web are billed through OpenAI. Compare the final checkout total, currency, renewal terms, and included plan features for the channel you intend to use rather than assuming app and web prices match.

Google’s UAE subscriptions page listed three Google AI plan price points: AI Plus at AED 18.99 per month, AI Pro at AED 76.99 per month, and AI Ultra from AED 369.99 per month. The page also displayed AED 769.99 per month for a higher Ultra tier. The word “from” matters: Ultra’s starting price and the higher tier are separate displayed amounts, not one flat price.

Use the Google UAE subscriptions page to check current plan details and checkout terms. A lower monthly price does not by itself show whether a plan has enough access or usage for your needs.
Is ChatGPT API included in Plus?
No. OpenAI bills ChatGPT subscriptions and API usage separately. A ChatGPT Plus subscription does not serve as an API allowance; API spending depends on the model selected, token use, and any applicable tool or storage charges. OpenAI describes the separation in its billing guidance for ChatGPT and the API platform.
For API budgeting, check the current rate for each model and feature you plan to use, then estimate input and output tokens and any tool or storage usage. The plan prices above cannot be used to calculate an API bill, and there is no reliable single monthly API cost without an expected workload and current rates.
Do AI subscriptions include VAT in the UAE?
The UAE Federal Tax Authority says VAT generally applies at 5% to goods and services unless a supply is exempt or zero-rated. Its VAT FAQ, last updated May 22, 2024, states that general rule. The Authority’s E-Commerce VAT Guide explains that place-of-supply rules determine whether UAE VAT applies to an electronic service.

Those general rules do not establish that every foreign AI subscription has the same tax treatment or that every listed price is tax-exclusive. Check the final checkout total and invoice. Businesses assessing their own transactions should consult a tax or accounting adviser.

- Match the plan to the job: Check model and feature access, usage limits, and any restrictions—not just the monthly sticker price.
- Confirm the billing channel: App-store and web prices can differ; verify the amount, currency, and renewal terms where you will subscribe.
- Separate subscriptions from API use: If you build an app or automate work with an API, budget that metered usage independently.
- Check the final total: Review the checkout amount and invoice for tax and other applicable charges.
There is no meaningful UAE-wide average AI cost established by these prices: individual subscription plans and usage-based API bills measure different things, and the API total depends on actual usage.
