There is no single “best” AI camera phone for every Indian buyer: choose by the job you want help with. OPPO Find X9 Ultra stands out on paper for long-range optical zoom; Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra documents a broad set of capture, editing and video features; Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL add scene coaching and computational editing; vivo X300 Pro is another camera-focused option with a compatible telephoto extender described by vivo. These are differences in hardware and advertised software capabilities—not results from a controlled, same-scene comparison.
What “AI camera” means on these phones
The label covers several separate tasks. A phone may process a photo automatically as it is captured, suggest framing or lighting, separate a portrait subject from its background, edit an existing image, or stabilize and clean up video audio. Those functions are not interchangeable, and an AI feature does not establish that every photo will look better.
- Optical camera hardware—such as a telephoto lens and its optical magnification—affects which framing options are available before digital cropping.
- Capture assistance can suggest a setup or adjust processing while you take a picture.
- Post-capture editing can erase objects, change backgrounds or otherwise transform an image. Identify generated or substantially altered results when sharing them.
- Video tools may address stabilization, recording modes or audio cleanup; check the exact phone and software version for eligibility.
Megapixel counts and maximum digital-zoom figures are specifications, not a substitute for comparable image-quality testing. No cited source here tests all of these phones side by side in the same scenes.

Which phone suits which camera priority?
Choose for distant subjects: OPPO Find X9 Ultra
Its standout documented hardware difference is a 50 MP 10× optical telephoto alongside a separate 200 MP 3× telephoto. That gives buyers a clearly specified long optical reach to consider for distant subjects. It does not, by itself, prove that the phone produces better photographs in every situation. OPPO also advertises substantial video-format options; confirm the modes you need and how they work in practice before buying.

Choose for a documented mix of capture, editing and video tools: Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
Samsung’s India camera guide documents features across capture, editing and video, making the S26 Ultra worth considering if those are the capabilities you want in one phone. Photo Assist is an editing feature; Nightography Video and Audio Eraser address video capture and sound. Samsung calls the S26 Ultra its best AI camera phone, which is Samsung’s own positioning—not an independent award or a comparative test.

Those descriptions do not establish S26 Ultra availability. Check the specific model and software eligibility for any feature you intend to use.

Choose for scene coaching and computational editing: Google Pixel 10 Pro or Pro XL
Camera Coach is intended to guide setup, angle and lighting based on a scene. It is coaching assistance, not a guarantee of improved results. Google also describes editing in Google Photos, including AI-enabled changes such as moving objects or changing backgrounds. Treat those as edits that can transform the original image, rather than ordinary optical-camera capabilities.

Consider vivo X300 Pro if its editing tools or extender fit your workflow
vivo describes AI Erase, AI Image Studio and a professional imaging kit designed for the X300 Pro that includes a ZEISS telephoto extender. The cited product information establishes vivo’s description of a compatible accessory, but not whether the extender is currently sold separately in India, its price, or what is included in a particular box. Confirm exact compatibility and package contents before treating it as part of your purchase.

What the India price and ranking evidence can—and cannot—tell you
Only two dated price figures are established here: OPPO’s May launch-announcement price for the Find X9 Ultra and a July Gadgets 360-reported starting price for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Neither is a verified live October 2026 checkout quote. OPPO’s May announcement also listed Find X9s at ₹79,999 for 12 GB + 256 GB and ₹89,999 for 12 GB + 512 GB; the Find X9s is a separate model, not the Find X9 Ultra.
Digit’s AI-phone list, updated 7 October 2026, includes the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Pixel 10 Pro XL, OPPO Find X9 Pro and vivo X300 Pro in rankings based on Digit’s own AI-Q framework. That ranking is not a universal camera test. Likewise, Gadgets 360’s October camera-phone guide offers its own specifications and qualitative evaluations, not a controlled comparison of all the models above. Its mention of an optional Hasselblad-branded lens kit for the Find X9 Pro is an accessory lead; verify model compatibility and Indian availability.

A practical way to make your shortlist
- Pick the task first. For distant subjects, compare optical telephoto reach. For guided shooting, look at scene coaching. For editing, identify whether you want object removal or more transformative changes. For video, check stabilization, recording modes and audio tools.
- Separate lens claims from AI claims. Optical magnification describes camera hardware; a software tool may process or alter what the camera captured. Neither category alone settles overall image quality.
- Verify your exact configuration and feature eligibility. Check the model, software support and included accessories against the feature you care about, particularly where a manufacturer describes a related feature for a different model or series.
- Check current Indian retail details before paying. Confirm storage configuration, current price, stock, seller and accessory availability with the retailer. A launch announcement naming a sales channel does not verify a current listing.
- Look for a direct comparison if image quality is decisive. Prefer a test using comparable scenes and conditions across the phones you are considering; specification sheets and separate editorial reviews cannot establish a universal winner.
