For US shoppers looking for an affordable QLED TV, the TCL QM6K is the clearest budget starting point in the available testing. The Hisense U7SG is a brighter step-up, while the Samsung Q6F is a basic 60Hz option. The five models below are a practical shortlist—not a five-way head-to-head ranking—and prices and availability vary by size and retailer.

How to read this affordable QLED shortlist

This guide focuses on the US market because the cited buying guides and manufacturer page are US-oriented. “Affordable” is relative: the strongest budget pick and the step-up model occupy different price tiers, and the Hisense U7SG is reported to cost more than $1,000 at full price. RTINGS says it regularly goes on sale for $600–$700; that is a guide-reported sale range, not a live quote. Check the current price for your chosen screen size before buying.

The list combines independent testing with manufacturer specifications and category-guide mentions. RTINGS independently covers the QM6K, U7SG, and Vizio model in its budget guide, but the evidence does not establish a consistent five-model comparison. Samsung’s page verifies the Q6F identity and specifications, and the QM7K is a QLED guide mention; neither is supported here by the same comparative testing. Confirm the exact regional model code, size, price, stock, smart-TV platform, and HDR formats before purchase.

At a glance: five models to consider

Model Why it is here Important trade-off
TCL QM6K RTINGS’ best budget TV; QD-Mini LED QLED 4K with a native 144Hz refresh rate, VRR, and two HDMI 2.1 ports. Reflection handling is poor in bright rooms, and bright objects or subtitles can show glow. RTINGS budget-TV guide; TCL product page.
Hisense U7SG RTINGS’ premium-budget pick; brighter performance, a matte screen, deeper blacks, and four HDMI 2.1 ports supporting up to 4K/165Hz. More expensive at full price; the cited sale range is not a current price. RTINGS budget-TV guide.
Samsung Q6F Verified 2025 4K QLED model. The listed 65-inch configuration is 60Hz; this evidence does not include comparative independent testing. Samsung US QLED TV page.
TCL QM7K Additional QLED candidate noted in RTINGS’ QLED guide. RTINGS says it has worse processing and much lower peak brightness than the similarly priced U7SG; a current affordable price is not established. RTINGS QLED guide.
Vizio Mini LED Quantum 4K RTINGS’ best cheap-TV pick; a Walmart exclusive according to the guide. The cited material does not establish it as a QLED, so it is a budget alternative rather than a confirmed QLED pick. It also has weaker blacks, more haloing than the QM6K, no HDMI 2.1, and a smaller app catalog. RTINGS budget-TV guide.

Best-supported budget pick: TCL QM6K

The QM6K is the most defensible starting point if the goal is a budget QLED with a gaming-friendly feature set. RTINGS names it its best budget TV, and TCL identifies it as a QD-Mini LED QLED 4K television offered in multiple screen sizes. The guide lists a native 144Hz refresh rate, VRR support, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and Google TV.

Its picture trade-offs matter as much as the headline specs. RTINGS reports deep blacks, bright highlights, and vibrant color, but also glow around lights and subtitles. Its poor reflection handling makes it less suitable for a bright room with windows or strong lamps facing the screen. Check the exact size and regional configuration, since the available product information does not establish that every size has identical specifications.

Brighter step-up: Hisense U7SG

Consider the U7SG if the room is bright or you want more HDMI 2.1 connections. RTINGS describes it as brighter than the QM6K, with a matte screen that handles reflections better, deeper blacks, and four HDMI 2.1 ports supporting up to 4K/165Hz.

RTINGS reports a full price above $1,000 and regular sales in the $600–$700 range. Those figures are guide observations, not a live or guaranteed offer; compare current prices for the same screen size. RTINGS calls the model a premium-budget choice, so it is a step-up rather than the lowest-cost option.

Basic viewing option: Samsung Q6F

Samsung’s US product page identifies the 2025 Q6F as a 4K QLED. For the 65-inch configuration, Samsung lists a 60Hz refresh rate. That makes it a candidate for ordinary TV viewing, not the best fit among these choices if high-refresh gaming is a priority.

The cited evidence confirms the product identity and specification but does not provide comparative independent test results. Verify the precise size and model code on the listing you intend to buy rather than assuming the 65-inch specification applies to every configuration.

Another QLED to investigate: TCL QM7K

The QM7K is a QLED category candidate, not a confirmed top affordable pick. RTINGS lists it as a notable mention and says it has worse processing and much lower peak brightness than the similarly priced U7SG. Since the cited material does not establish a current price or a stronger case for value, compare live prices and reviews for the exact size before treating it as an alternative.

Cheapest alternative, but not confirmed as QLED: Vizio Mini LED Quantum 4K

RTINGS names this Walmart-exclusive model its best cheap TV. It reports brighter, vibrant color, but weaker blacks and more haloing than the QM6K. The guide also notes that it lacks HDMI 2.1 and that Vizio OS has a smaller app catalog.

Although the model name and guide use “Quantum,” the cited information does not establish that it is a QLED. Do not count it as a verified QLED if the display technology is a firm requirement; consider it only as a lower-cost TV alternative.

Choose by room, gaming needs, and size

For a bright room

The U7SG has the clearest advantage among the tested options: RTINGS reports higher brightness and a matte screen that handles reflections better than the QM6K. The QM6K may be distracting when reflections are prominent.

For dark-room viewing

Both the QM6K and U7SG are described as having deep blacks, but RTINGS notes glow around bright elements and subtitles on the QM6K. Consider how often you watch dark scenes with bright highlights, and compare the models in person if possible.

For gaming

Compare the exact model’s native refresh rate, VRR support, and HDMI 2.1 ports, not just a retailer’s broad “gaming TV” label. The QM6K has a native 144Hz panel, VRR, and two HDMI 2.1 ports; the U7SG has four HDMI 2.1 ports supporting up to 4K/165Hz. The listed 65-inch Q6F is 60Hz. The cited evidence does not establish equivalent gaming specifications for every size or regional model.

For a fixed budget

Compare same-day prices for the screen size you actually need. A sale figure for one size does not prove another size is equally affordable, and a promoted price should not be treated as permanent. Before checkout, confirm stock, return terms, exact model code, and regional availability.

What to verify before buying

  • Screen size and exact regional model number match the listing and the specification you rely on.
  • Current price is for that size and is not being confused with a temporary sale or a different configuration.
  • Refresh rate, VRR, and HDMI 2.1 port count fit your gaming setup.
  • Brightness and reflection handling suit the room, while black-level and haloing trade-offs suit your viewing habits.
  • The TV’s smart platform and HDR formats are supported in your country and by the apps or devices you use.
