Neither AffiliateX nor AAWP is an evidence-based universal winner. AffiliateX is the more natural fit if you need Gutenberg or Elementor blocks and explicitly listed eBay and AliExpress support. AAWP is geared toward Amazon-focused displays such as product boxes, bestseller lists, and new-release lists, with both shortcode features and a Gutenberg block. Choose by your editor, marketplaces, and data-access requirements—not by unverified claims about speed or earnings.

How their WordPress editing workflows differ

AffiliateX says it works with Gutenberg and Elementor, but not the Classic Editor. Its WordPress.org listing describes page components as blocks, including product displays and calls to action. If your site relies on Elementor or uses the Classic Editor, check the fit before planning a migration.

AAWP documents shortcode-based features and a Gutenberg block. Its documentation index also includes material on product boxes, comparison tables, Gutenberg, click tracking, and licenses. That establishes that setup guidance exists, but the index alone does not provide the current steps for configuring a particular feature.

For either plugin, consider how existing affiliate pages are built. A change in editor or shortcode workflow can affect the work required to create or maintain pages; the available product descriptions do not quantify migration effort.

What product displays and site features each lists

Capability AffiliateX AAWP
Product displays Single-product blocks and product tables Product boxes, text links, and product data fields
Comparisons and lists Product-comparison and versus blocks; pros-and-cons and verdict components Comparison tables, bestseller lists, and new-release lists
Other documented features Calls to action, click analytics, and a broken-link checker Automatic tracking-ID link creation, caching, prepared templates, and geotargeting

These are features described by the product listings and documentation, not independent tests of usability or effectiveness. A longer feature list does not show which plugin will convert better or suit a particular site’s design.

Amazon data access needs a separate check

AffiliateX’s WordPress listing describes Amazon API integration for importing product information, including titles, images, descriptions, and prices, as well as updates to product data. It also describes a Pro “Zero API” option for adding products without PA-API access. The listing states a limit of 3,000 monthly product requests per Pro license for that feature. Treat that number and the feature’s availability as the listing’s description; confirm current limits and terms with the vendor before relying on them.

AAWP describes automatic product-information updates through Amazon’s Product Advertising API (PA-API) and links to an AAWP API option for cases where official PA-API access is unavailable. These are vendor-described routes, not a guarantee that a particular account qualifies or that any route fits current Amazon requirements.

Amazon’s access rules and a plugin’s own data-service limits are distinct questions. Before choosing, verify current Amazon policies, your eligibility, the data source used, request limits, update behavior, and any separate service terms. The available product pages do not independently establish current Amazon policy.

Marketplace coverage: Amazon-focused or more than Amazon

AffiliateX’s WordPress listing names Amazon, eBay Partner Network, and the AliExpress Affiliate Program, with eBay and AliExpress support described as Pro features. That makes it the clearer fit in this comparison for a site that wants integrations beyond Amazon, subject to confirming current program and plugin support.

AAWP’s cited features page lists Amazon marketplaces in multiple countries. It does not establish integrations with eBay or AliExpress, so do not assume those are supported based on the Amazon locale list.

Tracking, maintenance, and performance claims

AffiliateX lists built-in click analytics and a broken-link checker. AAWP documents automatic tracking-ID link creation and caching. Those descriptions cover different tasks: tracking IDs are not the same as click reporting, and caching is not a broken-link check. Compare the exact monitoring and maintenance functions you need rather than assuming equivalent feature names or outcomes.

The available product pages do not establish an independent speed, conversion, reliability, or support winner. Feature descriptions and vendor comparison language are not substitutes for comparable tests. If performance or revenue is decisive, test both options under comparable conditions on your own site and avoid attributing any change to the plugin without controlling for other factors.

How to choose between AffiliateX and AAWP

  • Choose AffiliateX when Gutenberg or Elementor blocks suit your workflow, you want its listed analytics or broken-link checking, or you need its stated eBay and AliExpress integrations.
  • Choose AAWP when its Amazon-oriented boxes, comparison tables, bestseller or new-release lists, tracking-ID tools, caching, or geotargeting match your publishing needs.
  • Pause before choosing either if your site depends on the Classic Editor, requires a specific Amazon data-access route, or needs a capability not clearly documented. Confirm compatibility, current data-service terms, and the exact feature behavior with the vendor.

Check current costs before budgeting

A vendor-authored comparison reports indicative starting prices of $69 per year or $199 lifetime for AffiliateX Pro (one site), and €79 per year or €299 lifetime for AAWP (one site); it says AAWP API service is billed separately. These are time-sensitive vendor claims, not independently verified current checkout prices. Confirm currency, taxes, license site count, renewal and lifetime terms, and any separate API charges before comparing total cost.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
